I read mixed feedback on this product but thought I would give it a try anyway, and really wish I hadn't. It did absolutely nothing for my dark circles and I am now £70 poorer! It did minimise my fine lines however there are other products out there that can do this at a much cheaper price. DO NOT BUY!!

Edited from original: This stuff succeeded in making me look older by drying out the skin under my eyes. I didn't finish the bottle.

------

Strong stuff - DO NOT START USING RIGHT BEFORE AN IMPORTANT EVENT. I used one capsule every night for four nights, following the instructions, and wound up with a reaction where my undereye area got all dry, red and peely, making me look much worse than I did before. Now, four days later (and no product use during that time), the reaction appears to have gone away and you know what? I think my dark circles actually do look better! I'm going to continue using this product again tonight, but cut back to applying every other night or every third night to see if that works better for me. I'll update this review when I finish the bottle.

I was loving this product-- I really felt like it made a difference in toning up and lightening the area under my eyes. I had been using it for about 15-20 days, almost every night. I took a bunch of capsules on vacation with me for 10 days, used it every day with no problem.

When I got home, though, I started using the capsules I had left behind in the original bottle. 2 days later I had a SEVERE and I mean SEVERE reaction. I couldn't figure out what the problem was as there were lots of outside triggers to consider. I cut out all products, which sucked big time given the red, swollen, peeling, itchy state of my eyes. Unbearable physically and cosmetically. I gradually cycled my products back in, had a second reaction that lasted over a week from using one capsule. I still wasn't convinced, but tried again and it's definitely this product. I don't know if I developed an allergy, if my skin became hyper-sensitized because it is so strong, or if the product went bad sitting in my medicine cabinet (I just purchased it, so I don't see how that could be the problem). Allergy drops and oral antihistamines help, but take days to make this better.

So use with caution. I feel like a fool with horrific looking swollen red eyes-- exactly the feature I'm most insecure about and which I paid a hefty price to try to treat. Never again.

I had high hopes for this product since it had a 100% buy again rating. But I cannot see a noticeable difference (or even a slight difference) in my hereditary undereye circles. *One day* I woke up and they were significantly improved but it only lasted a few hours. I tried to think of what it could possibly be that improved them that morning but cannot think of what it was. I have used the whole bottle of the Factor A. Had I had more mornings like that one morning, I may have attributed it to the Factor A, but I used this bottle all month. I do like the packaging, as it comes in single- use capsules, so you're not sticking your fingers in a jar every night causing contamination.

I think I'll try Rodan and Fields next. The DHC moisture strips are on the way as well. I use Prada eye lightening cream in the morning and I was using the Factor A at night.

Maybe I'll try it again, but not this next time that I need a product.

It is such a shame this product is so expensive, because it does actually work! Those of us with dark circles become cynical because we've hard so many false promises, but this lives up to some of it's promises. I have noticed a slight improvement in my circles over the time I have been using it, 2 weeks, and I haven't even been able to use it daily-it's so expensive that I try to use it only every 2nd or 3rd night. It makes me look fresher and more rested. It is a little drying, i must admit, and that is why I have taken off a lippie. I would imagine that even if you could afford to use it every day, you wouldn't because of the fact that you'd need to alternate or perhaps you could layer with a richer cream. I generally use Teamine in the day and will start on the new All about eyes rich after I finish. Teamine was the best I'd used before I found this product. I will be hanging out on ebay to buy another bottle!

I've been using several products from Jan Marini Skin Research, and I must say, I'm quite impressed.

I'd been looking for a new PM eyecream to replace my ROC with retinol, and this product delivers so far. Pricier, but I'll try it if it has both Retinol and Vitamin K in a stable formulation. So far, it's hard to tell if the circles are disappearing yet, but I no longer wake up with undereye puffiness, which is pretty awesome. I'll edit this review after awhile to update on the dark circles.

The capsule formulation might not be for everyone. One thing that I recommend is to lightly pat this product just underneath the eyes, taking care to not get too close to them, especially if you have sensitive eyes from wearing contacts, like me. One capsule takes care of both eyes, and the product eventually dries to a matte finish. My fine lines seem to have lessened as well. Time will tell though.

I have been using this for undereye circles. The packaging is wonderful. One capsule is used each night and contains enough product for both eyes. I began using this nightly and started to have some undereye irritation (redness, burning) so I've cut back to every other night. I believe that this has helped my undereye circles and I will continue using the product.

I have used this product for 4 months now and I generally I like it. They come in a bottle with 60 capsules. You use one capsule each night before going to bed. Very easy to use...twist the top off the capsule and apply evenly to both eyes. Pat it on but don't rub it in. I have dark uec and have noticed that it does lighten them. I used one pkg and stopped because I wasn't sure if it was working. It seemed like my uec came back with a vengeance so I purchased another pkg. Once again they have lightened but not disappeared. One thing I noticed this time was that I got a lot of peeling under my eyes which became more noticeable when I put on under eye concealor. I have run out of capsules again and do not plan to repurchase right now but that's not to say I won't again.

I have been using Jan Marini's products for a couple of years now. I am 28 and was recommended by my beautician to use Factor A for Eyes. So far I have used 2 capsules and I can see some results, lightening of dark circles. However, I was advised to use eye serums/creams for day as it may cause dehydration. I hope this works as everytime I see a new eye cream in the market, I get all excited and hoping for a miracle. It failed everytime. I am keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

I just purchased my second bottle of this. This is an unusual product in that the bottle contains 60 capsules. Each capsule is one night's worth of treatment. You twist the capsule open and squeeze the gel out and pat it on the area under your eyes. The directions specifically say not to rub it. This is supposed to lessen dark circles. I have become very skeptical of that claim over the years because I have never found a product that ever succeeded in doing that. I'm 51 and I have tried almost everything that claims to lighten dark circles. I purchased an entire skincare program of Jan Marini. I went to healthyskinbydesign.com and filled out a lengthy questionaire about my skin and a specific skincare regimin was designed for me--and I have seen excellent results. I have noticed that my dark circles are noticeably lighter and I don't rely on nearly as much concealer as I used to. I have continued to use my regular eye cream during the day as this product is only for night time use. I was intriqued by the packaging but I guess it is their way of making sure the correct amount of product is used each time.
