I do love the smell. It's wonderful. I hate the consistency. It's pretty much water. I got one as a gift then I bought another after that was empty. If it wasn't so watery I would buy it again but there are so many great shower gels out there I'll pass.

The Olive Branch was the first LUSH product I fell head over heels for. This is a gorgeous, unique, warm scent that is utterly intoxicating. My biggest gripes are that the product is quite thin and does not lather as well as it could. Otherwise, I find it to be a decent moisturizer and the scent lingers for quite a while. One lippie off for aforementioned gripes and the overall price. I'm a devoted LUSHie, but let's face it: their shower gels are grossly overpriced! I'm a huge fan of TOB and recommend anyone gift this to a loved one or themselves. Beware: you may be addicted!

The Olive Branch is a body wash but it's a little weird. It has a very thin consistancy and you have to shake the bottle each time you use it because there is olive oil in it and it tends to seperate. The lush website describes the smell as mandarin, lemon, and fresh orange groves. I really don't get those smells. It has a definite masculine scent and I smell a tobacco note in it. It's not unpleasent, it's just weird. I've been using this for a few weeks and I love how soft it makes my skin. I just wish it smelled more like citrus. It smells like a clean men's cologne to me. The good thing is, once I shower, the smell is pretty much gone. The scent does not linger on the skin. I will finish this bottle just because I love the moisturizing element to it but it's just too masculine and the conistancy is too thin for me.

I got this in an xmas gift set. This is a masculine scent but I like it a lot on my skin. The odd thing is that.... this never smells the same. I've used it 4 times now & while it always smells masculine, it never smells exactly the same. Weird.

YUM!!! I just bought this for my secret Santa and it was my first time at a LUSH store so I was feeling overwhelmed by all the scents. I'd read about The Olive Branch on the website and was pretty excited about smelling it for myself, so I was quite surprised when the saleslady handed me a bottle of what looked like orange water and told me to give it a sniff and I could not for the life of me smell anything. (I bought it anyway.)

Fast forward to a couple hours later and I'm in the comfort of my own neutral-smelling room, and I decide to investigate the bottle myself. Surprise! The gel wasn't as watery as it was in the store (though I assume this is because I didn't shake the bottle -- the olive oil was bunched up at the top) and the scent peeking out from under the plastic seal is magnificent! I almost consider buying it for myself; if it weren't for the price ($11 CDN for a tiny bottle), I probably would have! Mandarin and bergamot, what an amazing combination! I am immediately transported to the Mediterranean, surrounded by orange groves and warm, salty air and the scent of bergamot. This is southern Italy and Greece during the peak of summer! That being said, this is quite a unisex scent, I think I will immediately fall in love with a man who smells like The Olive Branch ;)

I'm a bit in trouble when reviewing this. I've been eyeing this for years as it seemed so rich and luxurious, but I found it too expensive. When I finally got it in a lush gift package I put it away for times when I felt that I needed a bit of extra comfort and moisture. and then I completely forgot about it. I found it a few weeks ago and the expiration date nearing I had to use it up. Ah, it was a real letdown, it was nothing like I imagined. The texture is extremely runny, like water, and although it lathers well indeed it is not possible to use it without wasting a lot of product. I did not find it particularly moisturizing or comforting either. and then there is the smell! it is very strong Mediterranean smell, too masculine for my taste, and totally incompatible with autumn weather. I regret not taking this on my holidays to Provence, it might have worked there marvelously, but I cannot stand it here. Having said that, it turned out that my sister loves it, claiming that it made the skin on her feet smoother. So that's why I'm giving it 3 stars, and also because I think it would make a nice quirky present for a guy who is not really into cosmetics, as a starter, it's still much better than axe and all those plastic-y male shower gels..

I'm only giving this two stars because so many other people seem to like it. As for me, I tried it once and it broke me out on my back and chest. The smell wasn't my favorite, but I really don't like heavily scented things at all. I wouldn't recommend if you have sensitive skin.

Love this scent. I really only bought it because of how amazing this smells. Kind of wood-y masculine ahhh I love it. It's very thin in consistency but it does lather up which I like. I wouldn't repurchase just because I want to try a few other bath gels from LUSH.

Love, love love this. Superfresh scent and it makes my skin soft as a baby. Just don't forget to give it a good shake before you use it. The formula is a bit thin but just be careful cause its really effective and you dont need much which also makes it very much worth the money, it lasts for a long time! I'd recommend this to everyone!!

Smell is pleasant, pretty good body wash for every day use but kind of frustrating that you have to shake the bottle to mix all the stuff together every time you use it. Also it's a little thin in terms of consistency but lathers up nicely.

It smells super good, but it is a bit more watery than I expected. I have Glogg and previously had used Grass and Tramp. I'm not too sure about its moisturising ability since I always follow every wash with body butter. This is my favourite one, so I will be buying this again.

I absolutely love this shower gel. I started off with a sample, then purchased the medium size. Once that bottle was finished, I upgraded to the largest size of 16oz or so. My boyfriend and I are both cracked out, addicted to the scent. I don't know why some people complain about the smell unless its a body chemistry thing. We both have pretty discerning taste in fragrance and it smells neither like axe or wet dogs. This body wash in my opinion is on par in scent and feeling of the kiehl's "coriander" and "pour homme" body washes. Its leaves my skin softer than any other gel or soap I've tried in recent memory without leaving a scuzzy film. For as much olive branch as we use in our household, it gets a tiny bit pricey but its one of those worthwhile indulgences. Will repurchase again and again...

This was the first LUSH shower gel I ever tried and overall, I like it, but am not exceedingly impressed. The added olive oil for extra skin conditioning is a good idea that I've never seen in a shower gel before. The product is runny, but creates a decent lather, feels silky on my skin, and doesn't leave it completely parched. However, I like the smell a lot more inside of the bottle. When it hits the water, it takes on a bit of a cigarette-smokey, wet dog quality, which isn't overwhelming, but not fresh enough for me. A lot of people tout the fragrance as being so original, but I don't find that at all. It might be uncommon for a shower gel, but it reminds me of cheap men's cologne (if you don't like very masculine scents, this product is probably not for you). If you're using this just for the fragrance (as are a few of the reviewers I watched on YouTube), I'm sure you could find an AXE shower gel that smells better and lingers on the skin longer, for a lot less money.

Now here is a unique product.
If you are offended by very strong scents, especially scent that could be considered masculine, then you will probably hate this. But I LOVE IT. You must shake it before each use because the ingredients separate, but if you can't manage to do that without complaining then you're too lazy :p The scent of this stuff fills up your whole bathroom. It's an earthy, exotic smell unlike anything else.

Disappointed with this shower gel. It's my first go with LUSH gels and Olive Branch leaves me wondering if I will bother with them again. I envisioned rolling hills of Tuscany, bright and comforting, but this just smells too musty, perfumey and fake. It must be the added 'perfume' I noticed high on the ingredients list. It also leaves my skin dry when practically no gel ever has. Dial does a better job at cleansing without stripping. Also, what's with the artificial colors and parabens? It has an expiry date, so why the parabens? The better news is that it lathers nicely on a loofah despite the super watery consistency.

I won't purchase this in the future and am thankful I received it in a swap. It's not unique enough to warrant the price.

if you love the smell of bergamot and bright citrus (mandarin, most notably) this will be right up your street. if you love the idea of a product that cleanses with the power of salt, and moisturizes with olive oil, this will make you very happy. if you want a lovely unisex fragrance that will stick with you all day, this is for you.

while the consistency of this product is runnier than most shower products, a little goes a long way, and if used on a washcloth or bath poof this product should last a while.

this is also fantastic as a shampoo, and i've even used it to wash my clothes a few times when i ran out of detergent (frivolous, i know, but the smell is addicting, and the prospect of my clothes smelling of olive branch was too much to turn down.)

this is amazing. my only gripe is the largest bottle (as with all LUSH products that come in this size) is very flimsy and can break / dent easily.

wish they'd make a soap that smelled like this. will happily settle for the shower gel.

I love the scent of this. Yes its runny! However, a couple of drops in a loofah and it makes great lather. The orange and Bergamot make this a nice scent for all year. This unique scent is sweet and spicy yet masculine and feminine. It leaves you skin feeling soft and moisturized. Perfect if you share a shower with a male and want a universal body wash.
