I've used this faithfully twice a day for over a month and I slather myself with high SPF to make sure I don't get sun on my face. There is an ever-so-slight fading of my sun spots, but not enough to buy this again. Honestly, i think Concha Nacar is the best product I've used for lightening and it's only $4.

I have read many concerning things about Hydroquinone, so this affects my feelings towards this product.

But if you put this feelings and concerns aside I have to say that this product really works. I've gone through two bottles of it and when I see pictures of my melasma from before, there is a noticeable difference.
My dark spots really have lightened up, they're still there, but much lighter than before.

It's such an unfair law of nature, that the products that work best are the ones with the meanest side effects.

So I'm still not sure, whether I'm going to repurchase or not. It's not available in Europe anyway, so I have to wait until I'm going to the states.
Until then I'll continue my search for something that works as well and does not have as many side effects.

I'm thinking about getting the Eucerin Even brighter.

I have fair skin with two very obvious age spots and read many reviews before buying this, as its expensive. I have noticed no difference whatsoever. I wanted this to work and be able to write it was fabulous but its really not, for me. Even if I had noticed a slight change I would have been pleased but there has been no change at all. Very very disappointing

Both my mother and I have used this product. I had light acne discoloration and this product made them disappear within 3-4 weeks. My mom's skin transformation was amazing as well. She is 41 and had very vivid spots on her face from tanning. She used twice a day, and after around 2 weeks we started to notice a difference. Every couple of days we'd see the spots getting more and more lighter. Now, about two months later, her spots are nearly gone. This stuff really works, and it's worth the money.

Overall I like this product. I've been using for more than 3 months and I can see the acne spots and sun spots on my face lightening. HOWEVER, I am also using other products with vitamin C and an AHA scrub so not sure if it's this particular product that's lightening or a combo of all the above.

I've been using this for 5 months now. I saw a noticeable difference after using this for 3 weeks - a lot of my sunspots faded. I continued to see results after 3 weeks. I still have some sunspots left and I'm not sure if this will ever get rid of all of them, but I've been very happy with the results so far.

I use this product once a day at night and it hasn't irritated my skin at all. When I first used it, I noticed some little bumps on my face (not pimples) but they quickly disappeared within a few days after my skin got used to the product.

Overall I'm happy with this product and will likely repurchase in the future.

This product has done the best job so far at fading my freckles. I noticed my skin is more luminous and seems to glow. As far as fading the freckles on my face it hasn't made a significant impact, yet still a noticeable one. I have used about 3/4 of the bottle and with the results I see I am willing to buy at least one more in the future. For what I paid I am happy with the results :)

After reading the multiple reviews I decided to try this product and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have hyperpigmentation from acne scars and this product has reduced and/or eliminated most of the reddness. I bought this product mostly for hyperpigmentation and not necessarily brown age spots, however, I have noticed that it has helped with mild sun damage. My complexion is 100% more even toned. You have to apply it consistently to see and get results. I saw results within 3 weeks.

However, I would not recommend this product to anyone who has overly sensitive skin. It causes some burning and mild irritation and should first be tested on ur arm or hand.

Right off the bat.. I'm a fan of Murad... BUT... I'm not a huge fan of hydroquinone but I thought I'd give this a try since it was Murad. It has that same horrid smell of hydroquinone that I've come to notice in other products. On top of that, if you let it sit for a long while, it turns brown. I have light to light-medium skin. Didn't notice a dramatic difference in lightening and it actually made my clear patches patchy (not with blemishes but it made my skin look strange). I did see a slight (nearly unnoticeably) difference after using it around my neck and chest but I don't know whether that can be attributed to the product or to time itself. Gave it a 3 because I was on the fence, I love Murad, and I couldn't tell if it was the product or Father Time that made my skin look slightly better.

I have had freckles on my face since i can remember. But i got an extremely bad sunburn in 2008 that left sun spots all over my face. So i had FRECKLES AND SUN SPOTS! I tried using ddf fade gel and that messed up my face with breakouts. After using that whole bottle of ddf i realized there werent good results. So i did alot of research...and i mean ALOT...and i decided to try this out. I have only been using it as a spot treatment and for about 3-4weeks and all the freackles and sunspots are nearly invisible! All my friends keep asking what i have been using. And no one can see my freckles anymore. Of course i can see them slightly but they are so light that they r actually really cute now. Im so glad i got results with this product! I have only used about 20% of the bottle and i will continue to use it for some sunspots on my shoulders from that bad sunburn i got. If i run out...I WILL PURCHASE IT AGAIN!!!!!! THANK U MURAD.

I purchased this with a $50 Sephora gift card so I didn't pay that much....but now I would say I wouldn't pay full price for this. I have fair skin and a lot of acne scars which are red. I know Murad also has another product for acne lighting, with the blue packaging, but I checked the ingredients and both bottles are the identical 2% Hydroquinoe so I decided to give it a try. I know I am supposed to be super patient when it comes to brightening procedure but I am really skeptical of people saying they see results within weeks????? I finished the whole bottle in about 4 months and I would say my acne scars lighten *A TAD BIT*. But what really annoys me it's this thing is sticky, making the following moisturizer application a little difficult. I did massage vigorously to let the product to sink in but it was still very sticky. I am gonna start using CdP spot lightening gel from now on.

I love this product! I use this day and night with sunscreen. I've been using it since Christmas and noticed results within the first two weeks. I'm using it for my freckles. My freckles have lessened so much. I now just have them on my nose. I love this product so much. It's gentle and effective.

I have spots of melasma on my forehead and hyperpigmentation due to past reckless use of tanning beds and sun exposure. In the past, I have used other lightening products that contain glycolic, retinoids, and hydroquinone that produce more noticeable fading of dark areas. I have been using this product every night, for the past 6 months. I apply the gel to the dark spots, not all over my face. I wait at least 20-30 minutes before application of my night moisturizer to give the product a chance to sink in. On the plus side, there has been no irritation despite the fact that my skin tends to be sensitive and dry. I was not expecting a miracle, knowing that 2% hydroquinone takes awhile to gradually fade or break up areas of hyperpigmentation, and provides minimal results compared to prescription strength varieties. But I am not sure this product is strong enough to make much of a difference in my case. During the past 8 weeks, I have been enhancing this treatment with microdermabrasion, glycolic peels, prescription strength Retinol, and Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle night cream. The dark spots have lightened a bit and there are areas that are finally breaking up. But I'm not sure this gel can be credited for any lightening in my case, as the combination of other treatments seem to be producing the more noticeable results.

This was my most hated potion of the Murad radiance kit. It was drying and irritating and caused little itchy flesh colored bumps. Also nothing was lightened in the 2 weeks I endured this. Murad was a bust for me.

I've been using the resurgence line of murad and decide to switch to age spot remover b/c of some minimal age spots on my forehead. I broke out in little bumps/rash where I used the sample sold for 45.00 at Ulta. I returned it because of my bad reaction and purchased the resuragnece line again. I get a lot of compliments on my skin and will continue to use the resurgence line from murad.

I didnt know that Murad had a acne skin lightening product, so I got this instead...OMGOSH...so I use the entire Murad Acne treatment (and I love it)...its completely transformed my face and has been "fixing it" for years...I used this on old scars...it burns, it makes your skin peel (but you wont notice until the next day when you makeup has this gross dry patch...but it does lighten...but its not worth the irritation or the skin peeling...also, if you go into the sun for anytime longer than an hour it reverses all the work the serum has done

i dont recommend...Ambi may not work as quickly, but it soothes my skin an moisturizes, not burn and peels, so im going to stick with that and SPF face lotion....

Here's another Allure editors' recommendation that was a bust! Allure warned that this non-prescription age-spot lightener took "a looonng time" (if not an exact quote, that's a very close paraphrase), but 1 and nine-tenths bottles and $120 later, I'm only seeing a slight degree of lightening in one tiny area. How much more money am I supposed to spend before I see any real difference? I'm done with this. Just purchased Clinique's new "Even Better" skin tone corrector and am keeping my fingers crossed that that will be better.

I'm using this to lighten leftover hyperpigmentation from acne, and all I can say is WOW. I can't speak to how well it removes the brown spots it's intended to remove, but it surely has lightened my red pigmentation something fierce. I had this cluster of cystic acne for about 8 months that just would not go away. In February I finally got it injected with cortisone, which cleared the bumps but of course left the mean red pigmentation.

I'd already been exfoliating and using glycolic and salicylic acid preparations daily, and yet my skin was not turning over fast enough to get rid of the coloration. My aesthetician recommended hydroquinone, but as I was unable to find a cheap drugstore formulation that didn't contain the dreaded mineral oil (which breaks me out terribly), I forked over the $60 and change for this. I don't regret it one bit. It's been less than two weeks, and the steady level of redness that I was diligently covering with mineral concealer daily is virtually gone. This is lightning fast.

I didn't wear any facial concealer today for the first time in almost a year. Funny enough, when my derm heard what I did to fade these, he balked, saying, "No, don't use that. It shouldn't work, it's for brown spots." Well guess what? It worked. SO fast. It's a combo with glycolic, but as I'd been using that all along, this formula must be the magic bullet. If you're at your wit's end with acne hyperpigmentation, get this, and apply it morning and night on your bare face under your moisturizer/sunscreen. Yes, you *must* wear sunscreen while using this.

So I bought this product as it had an "Allure" sticker of endorsement on it -- I should have checked out reviews on MUA first! I've used it since Christmas with no visible signs of improvement. I have gone back to using Skinceuticals intense line defense which, although it's not specifically formulated to fade age spots, actually works. My age spots are fading once again. Very disappointed and, at $60 USD, definitely not worth it. For those of you younger women who may tan, please learn from my mistakes. Your skin will thank you.
