um where's the melon and stuff?

the body lotion smelled great from the bottle so I purchased the EDP w/o trying it on.
What a mistake!!!!!

Good thing I got it from a discount store.

It smells soapy& very slightly fresh man's cologne..
Then quickly changes to guy's sweaty BO + the headiest, obnoxious floral smell ever.

I have gobs of perfume, more than I could ever use, but this magical blue bottle is divine! My Holy Grail of perfumes!! For some reason it seems as if Escada discontinued it and my heart is absolutely broken if this is true. I will have to hunt eBay for a backup and slowly learn to live without it.

It's so fresh and it just makes me feel like a girl. My husband always comments on how wonderful I smell when I wear this, and he should, since he originally bought it for me many Valentine's ago. I recommend this to everyone.

You can usually find this in a discount store for under $30, which is how I used to buy it. I think Escada discontinued this one, which is a shame, because it's really the perfect perfume. It smells clean, rich, and classy - like diamonds, if they had a smell. Other reviewers said it smelled familiar, which I noticed, too. This is what you remember fabulous women smelling like when you were younger. Such a shame Escada abandoned this for those annual beach bum body sprays.

I'm glad I found this at my local TJMaxx for ~$25. At first it has a sharp note, which didn't like at all. I decided then that I was going to return it. Not until the dry down was when I kept sniffing the scent, which smelled fabulous. I'm definitely holding on to this perfume. If you can get a hold of this you should give it a try. Very light, wintery and summery! One lippie off because the shape of the bottle is awkward when trying to spray it on, but it did come in a cute box.
Top note : Bergamot, Black Currant, Green Leaves, Cucumber, Lemon
Middle note : Magnolia, Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, Orange Blossom, Rose, Peony
Base note : Amber, Musk, Tangerine, Vanilla, Iris, Patchouli,Sandalwood

Even though this frangrance is very sharp and chemically (and I don't usually like chypres), I adore it. It's like an abstract painting of the concept of "modern urban elegance". Even though it was launched in 2005, there's something very 1980s about it. It has that same razor-sharp fancy edge to it that Giorgio has, but Escada is more delicately floral and clean. It remindes me of a chic New Waver in London or Paris circa 1985, all covered in bangle bracelets, funky earings, and geometric prints in primary colors. I would imagine this to be the signature scent of Corinne Drewery, the lead singer of the band Swing Out Sister, epecially in the video for "Breakout". The drydown is an angular musk (how else to describe it besides geometric or abstract?), and it lasts all day on me.

Escada Signature Eau De Parfum is amzing! its my fav winter scent.
this is they my scarf always smells! i love it.

its a comfortable smooth and warming fragrance.

((the matching lotion on the other hand smells nothing like it (more like a plan cream) still its not sticky and dries very quickly! ive never come across a fragrance lotion that works as well, although most of them never smell like the perfum its self. so its no big deal.))

btw the packaging is very pretty

Cucumber salad + smell of pencils (cedar). Boring, weak, a bit salty, laundry type of scent. Sister of Into the Blue (both are so wishy-washy)

There is something oddly familiar with this scent. It kind of reminds me of my grandmother's bathroom...a soapy smell. She used Dove. But this is way lighter than that. It's crisp, clean, musky, warm and inviting. I was looking for a clean scent and I think this is it. I normally like Estee Lauder's Pleasures for my clean scent, but after having a baby recently, most fragrances bother me. This one, so far, does not! The drydown seems to be pretty sweet, but not nauseatingly sweet.

I completely agree with VioletVonSchmidt - Escada Signature is a very nice laundry-type of scent! I can smell a musky combo of magnolia, cucumber, muguet and a hint of amber. The result is a laundry and slightly musky scent.
It's very clean, casual and uncomplicated - the kind of fragrance that you can wear anywhere.
It deserves 4 lippies, but I'm giving it 3 because of the poor staying power (on my skin).

Escada is a lovely, slightly sweet, little bit spicy, very clean and easy to wear fragrance. I fell in love with it at first sniff and was seriously considering purchasing it.
Except that I could no longer smell it on me after about an hour. :-(
For a less expensive, longer lasting alternative that has some similarities, you could try Pleasures Intense. It's almost like Pleasures but somewhat sweeter and with a little something else added.
If it lasted longer I'd be bathing in it right now. Took off 1 lippie for staying power.
Would not repurchase.

Light, summery, Escada EDP (discontinued) is my spring & summer scent. I agree it is not long lasting. However, I bought an extra bottle of it before it dissappeared, so perhaps that one will travel to work with me during the summer, along with my perfume pen (great gift, filled it up with about 10 pumps of the EDP spray.)

Cinema is my Fall/Winter scent. Chanel No. 5 for my "classic" days.

Will try others, but many MANY scents break down on me within 5-15 minutes and smell like carrots or cardboard.

These work for me.

I received this scent as a gift in the summer. Even though i like fresh, citrus smells for warm weather... I have to say this is the COLDEST scent i have ever smelled in my entire life.
This scent is the opposite of comfort. Every time i smell it i get a feeling of discomfort and vulnerabilty.
Fragrance asociations are very weird... i know this is just a perfume and not a traumatic event in a bottle, but that's the way i feel about this one.
Despite my weird feelings about this fragrance, I admit that The bottle is nice and so is the scent. Citrus, clean, classy, with a bit of a feeling of an old unisex cologne, maybe 4111

I luurrvvve the smell of cucumber in this fragrance and layered with the body lotion it is to die for.. it's a melony/cucumbery fragrance and it would be my favourite of all of the Escada fragrances. It's simple but yet not generic smelling. My only gripe would have to be the lasting power, I don't think it lasts like Sentiment and Magnetism, a very unique fragrance for Escada nonetheless........

This is a very lovely, unusual fragrance for someone out there...unfortunately, that someone is not me. I expected a very light, green scent (as per the juice) so I was pleasantly surprised by the spicy, delicious drydown. However, the topnotes are something else. I get laundry essence mixed with some heavy, indistinguishable florals. It truly did smell like a laundry room to me...one with the window open, with the breeze blowing in the scent of sun-baked florals. It's unusual, and not particularly "modern" smelling (For what that's worth...this isn't the type of thing I'd smell wafting around the mall is what I mean). If laundry scents appeal to you, give Escada a try. The topnotes don't do it for me so I won't be purchasing...though I must admit I'm intrigued :)

I received this as a birthday present from a friend of mine, and I must say, I really like it! It's a great, fresh, clean, slightly spicy-ish floral (in a green way.. if that's possible, not an oriental way).. and the longer it stays on the skin, the better it gets. I don't get the cucumber (thank goodness!), but rather a thick, watery floral. My dad said it smells very, very good. I love the bottle it comes in! It looks pretty sitting on my dresser.. and green is my favorite color (so it kind of matches the paint on my freshly painted, green walls)..LOL. She bought the gift set which comes with the lotion and shower gel. I haven't used those yet, but I'm sure it would be fun to layer them with the perfume.

The Escada Signature is a very nice soft, fresh scent. I can't pick out one particular note but the dry down is a soft vanilla semi-floral blend with a hint of cucumber. It's the perfect casual fragrance. This would be my comfortable jeans (or shorts) and t-shirt fragrance. Layer it with the lotion and will have great staying power.
