I gave Joico 4 lipsticks because I have never used shampoo that was above £1-3 or for damaged hair so I don't know what it can do compared to others. However, it does do what I expected it to so I was happy to give it 4 lipsticks.
First off, I want to start by saying I am a highly rational and logical woman so this whole 'it will thicken your hair/ it will change your life' crap doesn't work with me.
The only reason I even (surprisingly) decided to pay more than £3 for a shampoo was because of the good reviews I read online, on here and other websites.
A bit about my hair: I don't have a lot of hair but my strands are thick and overall quite dry; just like my skin.
What did this shampoo do for me? Well, I've been using this shampoo for about 3 weeks now and what it doesn't do is, it does not thicken your hair or give it added strength; nothing can do that. A shampoo cannot change your genes or hair follicles, those are the only things that determine it. I think everyone should accept that and stop making false advertising.
The only reason why some people may witness more strength or thickness in their hair, is because they probably damaged their hair before and its now growing out and the original strength and thickness is coming back.
What this shampoo DOES do, and the reason why I will buy this again is, when I wash my hair and blow dry it, it usually ends up really wire-y and frizzy and it will take me a day to sleep on it to have it nice and silky looking. With this shampoo, I wash, blow dry and my hair looks silky without it looking weighed down and oily. It feels like there is a lot more moisture in my hair and it has this permanent (very very mild) dampish feeling (without it actually looking or being damp)
This is why I will buy this shampoo again.
As for the package; its nice and professional. My only complaint is that it is hard therefore you are not able to squeeze out the last couple of drops.

This shampoo was okay. It was nothing special. I didn't see much difference between this and my drugstore shampoos.

First off, I have thick, dry, damaged, frizzy hair. I find it sooo hard to find products that make it silky, shiny, smooth and managable, but the K-PAK range is amazing! Joico is my favourite brand when it comes to hair care and it's the only thing I use now. K-PAK is my absolute favourite so far and I'll always come back to it. I got a set of the Shampoo, Conditioner and K-PAK revitaluxe treatment (which is literally the best thing I've ever tried on my hair) and now i'm so in love. Plus the K-PAK range smells AMAZING, all Joico products do which is always important in hair products to me. But anyway, I highly reccomend the Shampoo, it's the only shampoo which doesn't make my hair feel super tangly and weird after I've used it, and it obviously works best using the K-PAK conditioner as well :)

After bleaching my hair myself one too many times last summer, my hair was brittle and snapped like crazy, leaving me with a layer tiny blonde shreds of hair all over my shoulders by the end of the day (and lucky me, I wear a dark colored uniform at work, so there is no hiding it). After realizing that I now have what is considered damage hair, I knew my hair routine needed a re-vamp. I watched a few YouTube videos on haircare for damaged blonde hair, I decided to try the Joico K-Pak line, which was fortunately on sale at my local beauty supply.
The first time I used it, I toweled my hair off expecting a miracle. I didn't get one. My hair looked and felt exactly the same, and I was worried my purchase was a bust. But I kept on trucking, using the shampoo and conditioner every other day, and the deep penetrating reconstructor treatment once a week.
Sure enough, my patience paid off, because after about 4-6 weeks of using the shampoo and conditioner I noticed that my shoulders were not speckled with as much breakage as before. 6 more weeks, and there was no breakage at all! Hallelujah! This line has kept my hair attached to my head, and it really does work to rebuild your hair. I am truly amazed, and will continue to use this shampoo every few times I wash my hair, alternating with a moisturizing shampoo so I don't get overdosed on protein.
So if you don't get instant gratification, keep up using this product - it can save your hair if you give it a chance! Also worth noting is the cost - it's definitely more than your average drugstore hair product, but it lasts! I just ran out of both the shampoo and conditioner, and I have been using it for about 4-5 months. So the cost is not too steep considering how long it has lasted me. So give the Joico line a shot! I also reviewed their Restorative Styling Oil, which is awesome. I might be a little fanatical about this brand now..

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!
I have always dyed my hair and straightened, blow dried the works. And when i recently went to go blonde again, I got a full head of foils and i knew my hair would be utterly destroyed. So i prepared by getting this and the matching conditioner. WOW! my hair is amazing now.
After I got my hair done my hair was literally flaking off its broken ends like no tomorrow. I couldnt wait to wash my hair with this stuff to see if it worked. I used this and the conditioner, and for once in my life my hair was in the best condition ever! i have always had dry ends and i havent found anything to fix it, i have tried so many products i was going crazy. After using this i couldnt wait to wash my hair again and see it transform. After about 5 washes my hair was definitely not falling out, its was not breaking, its definitely not dry at the ends anymore and its clean and shiny still.
It lathers up nicely, you dont waste product, it smells like creamy banana kind of it so yummy. The bottles dont make you waste too much product, and it feels like your hair is always clean and healthy.
Definitely buy this if you have any form of damage to your hair. You will not regret it, its the best thing you can buy and its not that expensive. I got mine here in New Zealand for $30 for the shampoo and conditioner, which is super cheap for salon products and it will last ages if you dont waste it!!

This is the worst shampoo/conditioner I have ever used.
Immediately after washing my hair I know something is not right.
My hair feels matted, dry and my hair seems to be shedding!
Naturally I freak out. I actually had to blow-dry my hair right then and there (which is something I never do.)
My hair has never felt so dry, limpless and even my colour seems to have faded after just one use!

I bought mine of strawberrynet on sale (and on a whim).
Love this stuff. I get lots of compliments when I wash my hair with it so it has almost become my regular shampoo. I find using too many treatments that have protein in them can make your hair look like straw after awhile, but this somehow repairs your hair without doing that (I guess cause you wash it out :P). It also smells really good. If I can get it on sale (it was like $11) then I will definitely buy this again.
For reference - I have medium length type 1 hair that has been permemantly dyed.

I have a long, frizzy and wavy mess of hair. I've been straightening/curling my hair for about 2 years now (once a month), but my hair was still dead and dry. I lathered, rinsed and repeated with the shampoo, then used the matching conditioner. I towel dried my hair for about an hour and then I was shocked when I took the towel off! I can't remember the last time my hair *looked* healthy! My hair wasn't tangled and dry like it usually is with my daily shampoo/conditioner, and it felt really soft :) After my first time trying, I think I'm hooked! Hopefully I'll be able to see the "reconstructive" properties with enough uses!

I love this, because everytime I wash my hair with this shampoo I have a good hair day. My hair is straight, medium thickness and blond I only color my roots about every 2 months but a while ago I got ombre and had to bleach out my ends 2 times to get them light enough, oh boy where they damaged. My hair looked unhealthy so I chopped of the ends and needed some good care for the rest of my hair. This turned my dry lifeless hair back into soft, silky and glossy hair! I would repurchase even though I find it expensive it gives me the "just got back from the salon look" kinda hair!

I'm going through beauty school right now and it's so hard to resist changing my hair color every other day. So needless to say, my hair is fried. I've been using this shampoo, along with keratin complex conditioner and their products, and my hair is finally becoming healthy again. The shine is back in my hair and the split ends are staying away. I highly recommend this shampoo if your hair is over processed.

For starters, I have VERY dry hair. My hair is extremely frizzy and even though I get my hair trimmed every 2-3 months, I have major split ends. I don't use heat on my hair everyday and I use a heat protectant when I do, but my hair still felt dry. These were the conditions of my hair when I was using drugstore hair products such as Pantene or Herbal Essences. I finally broke down and bought this shampoo along with the conditioner. 2 months after using these, my hair is much much less frizzy and even when I let it air dry it's very hydrated and shiny.
When actually applying this product, a little goes a long way. It gets very soapy which I like, and it also washes out easily. It leaves my hair feeling clean but hydrated without leaving behind any residue or drying out my scalp.
Long story short, this shampoo along with the conditioner and Healthy Sexy Hair Tri-Wheat Soy Leave In Conditioner have left my hair in a much better state.

I love using products that smells good! The fruit smell of this shampoo makes it a pleasure to use. I will never use any product if it doesn't smell good to me. Although this product includes parabens and sulfate, I still liked it. I have thick hair and had to put on more than your average person, but my hair feels silky and smooth. About a month ago my hair all of a sudden became very dry without any shine. A friend recommended the K-pak reconstruct and I am so delighted that I have followed her recommendation. After four washes I switched to my normal shampoo. I do plan to use this shampoo once a month.

One of my favourite shampoos, definately worth the price. I alternate this with more moisturizing or deep cleansing shampoos for the best results. Easy to lather and rinse, quite lightweight hair, doesn't dry or irritate the scalp. However, the reconstructing qualities are not that obvious to me, but this is a keeper.

For the past few months i've been obsessed with drug store hair products, which was a very unusual stage for me. During that strange period I had blonde highlights. Recently decided to go back to a dark blonde/light brown color, and I noticed the cheap shampoo was not my friend anymore. Color was fading, not only that but it was fading to a strange color. My hair felt unmanageable too. Decided to go to Ulta, Couldn't decide weather to get the one for color treated hair or regular. Decided to go with the regular because it said color safe on the back because It was the known classic (didn't do research before I left). When I first used it, didn't do anything. My hair felt crunchy and tangled. However, I continued to use it. I say that it get way better the more you use it. I'm on my fifth day, and my hair looks great. Plus the strange color the cheap shampoo was pulling went away. I think it was this shampoo that helped it.

I'm a huge fan of Joico products and switched from the "BodyLuxe" to this one. I'm loosing much less hair in the shower and my hair is super soft. Unfortunately its pretty flat now but it was a sacrifice I had to make *volume or healthy. I bought it at a salon in the 3.7L jugs for $50each. It's basically like getting it 50% off if you buy in bulk. You just need to be sure you like it cause it will last you a year!

This shampoo is great! My hair was actually falling out a lot, so I switched to this shampoo (as it has protein in it) and I love love love it!It makes my hair feel strong, and when I straighten it, it's shiny (my natural hair is super wild and you'd never be able to tell).
That being said, it's pretty expensive (17 $ for the small one... no thanks) so I always buy it on sale from Trade secrets, when they put out the huge jug for 20$, or from Lisa's Cosmetics sales...
anyway after finishing one bottle of the shampoo, I thought about switching (I get bored, ok?) so I got a head and shoulders shampoo.... lo and behold my hair fell out in chunks...I used if for a week or two to make sure it wasn't a one-time thing.... it wasn't. So I switched back to this shampoo, and from the very first use, it was stronger, healthier, and shinier

This is the all time best shampoo iv ever used and believe me iv used alot!!! (probably more than i should have) I have extremely oily roots and dry ends and this is perfect it cleans the oil and moisturizes my ends. I my hair was black for a long time and i recently took the black out and turned it into a medium blonde and this is the perfect shampoo my hair doesn't even look damaged.
