I love this lipliner. It is the perfect shade for my coral and bronze toned summer lip colours. The consistency is perfect for both glosses and lipsticks and IMHO colouring your lips in with le crayon gloss before applying your lip colour really adds oomph to the lip colour.

Haven't sharpened mine yet, the pencil is quite soft so I will be interested to see how long it lasts. It's such a great product for me though, I won't get too upset if I have to buy it more often than my regular lipliners.

Divine, slightly sheer, orangey-red colour. Gorgeous smooth, glide-on texture. Lasts well and the finish is subtly glossy. Works beautifully underneath a gloss, lipstick or just by itself. Chanel's Le Crayon Gloss are my favourite lip liners, as I tend to favour glosses and sheer lipsticks and find most lip liners too dry and 'tug-gy'.

One lippy off because you can go through the thing really fast. Comes with a pencil sharpener, which is nice.

I bought this lipliner to match the Chanel lip gloss that I was buying, but was a little disappointed with the colour. As far as the texture goes, my complaint is that the liner is so soft that it does not hold its point and it is impossible for me to define my lip properly (and I have been using lip liners FOREVER). A disappointing product because I tried so hard to love it (as I love the gloss I bought at the same time).

This is a nice shade that would go well with the Melon or Cafe Cristalle glosses. The staying power is not that great though and you use a lot of product up just sharpening the pencil. It glides on like silk and can be used all over the lips like a gloss, too. I purchased two of these in Mandarine and Rose Honey. Mandarine is my favorite out of the two. Retails for $27.00

A wonderful new product from Chanel. I got this to wear with my new Melon gloss and find it wonderfully creamy yet sheer. It's smooth like Lancome Le Lipstique but but actually sheerer and smoother and less lipsticky. It looks wonderful with either the Melon Cristalle Gloss or BoraBora Aqualumiere lipstick.

Le Crayon Gloss is the new lipliner for Chanel (introduced Summer 2005) to be used either alone or with their new Cristalle lipglosses. It’s in a pencil form, with a point that needs sharpening (not self-sharpening) and comes with it’s own sharpener. The texture is much, much softer than their other lip pencils and they can be used to either line and fill in the entire lip or just the outer line. They are perfect with the new Cristalle glosses as some of the glosses are too light to be worn on their own. The texture is fabulous, but since they are so much softer and the color is not as intense as their usual liner, the wearability is not as good. But it’s a small price to pay for the ease of application and how wonderful they feel on your lips. The only negative that I have so far (other than the re-application factor) is the tip is so soft, it has a tendency to break when sharpened and you waste some of the product – not good a Chanel prices.

Mandarine is a beautiful shimmery orange/coral – on me it’s more orange than coral, but not a bright in your face orange. It’s slightly darker than their Aqualumiere’s Hawaii lipstick and has the same great shimmer. I absolutely love this color – it’s gorgeous with any coral colored lipgloss and goes well with their Cristalle Melon l/g or with MAC’s Wonderstruck. Will definitely repurchase!
