HG. I know a lot of people don't like the white cast, but I love it. Gives a very mod look (fem bot style!). Even under lipstick it "cools" colors making them more suited for my olive tone. I believe it's been discontinued, so sad.

It really delivers! I bit pricey, but not medicinal tasting; actually kind of minty and tingly :)

I have chronic dry lips due to a medical condition. I carry several lip balms because I must always have some on my lips. I tend not to go with medicated or tingly balms but this is an exception. I switched caps and now it hangs hangs from my water bottle holder which says how much I like this! It does have a whitish cast but I love that. My lips are fairly dark pink. Though I am yellow toned, I like that this has a cool undertone as the whitish cast skews purplish on me. Don't smear it on but an appropriate mt looks natural, also nice under nude gloss. Its soothing, feels creamy on. So disappointed with another recent BB lip balm, the older forulations from the brand appeal to me so much more and yes will repurchase.

I LOVE this product, and I've been using it for years. I actually buy it in bulk on amazon, because it seems to be disappearing from stores =(
I can understand how most people are turned off because of the white-ish color that it leaves on your lips, but surprisingly, thats one of the reasons I use it. I have a routine that I've used for years, and that is putting this on my lips (lightly! If you smear it all over your lips, it WILL make your lips a crazy stark white!!). Then I put my usual lipgloss on top. The combo of the 2 leaves my lips with a nice tint (it appears like a light pink for me), feels GREAT on my lips, keeps my lipgloss in place for an incredibly long time, and my lips are NEVER ever chapped because of this! So for me, this product is one of my favorites. You just have to use it right, and give it a chance!!

Whenever I go out into the sun or water for prolonged periods of time, I slather this all over my lips. I have a tendency to get cold sores when my lips are exposed to too much sun or when I'm extremely stressed out. And while I can't prevent stress, I can at least protect myself from sun exposure. And while it's not the most attractive thing out there (it does whiten your lips up), the protection it gives is second to NONE. Seriously.

Hillarious! I accidentally bought this as my lips were burning after getting some serious wind burn in winter. I purchased it at cracker barrell, I had no idea when I applied it that my lips were WHITE! My husband said, "What the heck is on your mouth?", I was like what are you talking about? I looked in the mirror and laughed so hard. May be a good product but I won't be wearing it-lol. I still love burts bees though.

I accidentally reached for this instead of their Replenishing Lip Balm before applying lipstick and yes, like other reviewers have pointed out, it does turn your lips white. But I find that you can blend the whiteness out with a lip brush. It also makes a great lip primer, especially if there's a lipstick in your collection that you find a little bit too garish and want to tone it down a bit. It's waxy enough to hold onto lipstick, but moisturizing enough at the same time. I actually enjoy the mintiness.

For those of you who don't like the white cast it leaves, try this over a red l/s. It turns red l/s into a fab bright fuschia/hot pink. Depending on how much you apply. Thank me later. :P

This is thick and therefore great for protecting your lips on harsh winter days. It's like a glove for the lips, and my lips feel warmer and safer from the wind and cold than when I'm wearing a lighter lip balm. Yes, it will give your lips a whitish-purple cast, but I think it's worth it so you don't have dry lips once you get indoors.

I LOVE this product!
The white looks like a really nice pale pink on me and it really does moisturize well.
The only problem is if you put it over chapped lips before any other lipbalm the white clumps on the chapped skin. I normally put the replenishing burt's bees balm with pomegranate on first.
I wish I knew where to buy this one in Australia! I haven't seen it anywhere and I got mine on the internet.

I agree with all the reviews below me... But I only use this product in the Summer (on the beach or the pool) where I get a lot of Sun. I do like the fact that it is minty and it feels very cooling in the heat. The White cast is that visible.

I do not like this product because I have no desire for my lips to look bright white, which is what this product does. Even if a thin layer is applied. As far as it being a good chapstick, I'm sure it is, it feels a bit tingly and I'm sure it moisturizes lips just fine. However, I cannot overlook the white color. You may be able to pull off this product by putting some kind of lipstick over it (perhaps one that is too dark and could benefit from added white color), but that might just be more trouble than its worth.

I told my friend about the original Burt's Bees lip balm and she accidentally bought this instead. I traded her for this one. I hate it. It does not spread well on your lips and it turns your lips white. Horrible product. I have used this mixed with lipgloss when my lips get red in color (My lips sometimes get this annoying vampirish red pigment), but it still has to be blended with the gloss really well to prevent it from being a thick layer. Would not repurchase though.

This was awful.
PROS:
1. Easily available on the ground.
CONS:
1. Overpoweringly minty
2. Leaves a white residue that looks SO stupid on your lips (won't go away, either)
3. Drying
4. Hard texture (I find Burt's Bees Honey version creamier)
Awful.

I didn't mind the fact that this product coated my lips in a slightly white residue, the problem with it for me is that it dries out my lips far worse than previously. After using this for several days my lips were peeling, and the same thing happened with the pomegranate Burt's bees lip balm.

Wear it with lip shimmers! Yes this does have a bit of a white color to it but it's amazingly moisturizing. I am loving it because most of the Burt's Bees lip shimmers are too dark on me or too much color and this is a great way to tone them down and make them a lighter shade. Loving it but doubt I would wear it by itself much though maybe when I go to sleep I would. Go for one of the other Burt's Bees lip products if you don't want the white.

Edited review:
Okay, this is not moisturizing. It is also not for those who are scared of pale lips, because your lips WILL be pale. They will either be near white, or a soft pink. Mine turn a soft pink with a swipe or two of this product. If I layer a moisturizing balm on top of this, my lips look BEAUTIFUL, fantastic, natural, and pink. I have really pigmented pink/mauve lips, and I like to use this to tone them down. Plus, it protects them from the sun while doing so. I would recommend this lip product, but just beware of what you're buying. It's made for people who spend a lot of time outside and who need lip protectant. There is a great possibility that your lips will look white and ghostly if you use too much of this. And, you'll probably want to only use this with a mirror in hand.

I'm a Burt's Bees devotee, and this is just another in a long line of products I love. This balm is perfect for what it is supposed to do - weatherproof your lips. Whether you're going to be out in the sun on an August day in Texas, or on a frigid, windy winter day, this is the balm for you. I would call it a "barrier" lip balm. Yes it leaves a white tint, yes it is thick, waxy, heavy, and even somewhat gritty - but it protects your lips completely from the elements and seals in moisture. It stays on even while swimming. It is moisturizing and for any harsh weather conditions, this is a must-have.

I like everything about this except for the white tint that it leaves on my lips. It's not even and sort of chalky and it bothers me enough that I will not buy this again. Other than that I like the minty-ness of it and the texture. I switched to the regular Burt's balm which is much better since it doesn't leave the white-ish tint.
