I like the color, the wear and the way it applies; just a solid product.

This is a good coloured eyeliner...not awesome, not inadequate, but just good. I do have to apply a couple of swipes for the opacity I want and it doesn't apply well onto the waterline. I agree with another reviewer who said that it's dark enough to be work-appropriate, but pigmented enough that a lovely jewel-toned purple is apparent. The sharpener is adequate. Might repurchase in other colors, but the purple will last me a while. Haven't bad any smudging issues with this one, either.

I have this color and the Raisin Quartz and unfortunately I have to give both a thumbs down. While I really love the color of each and I think they're very affordable, there is absolutely NO staying power. I'm really disappointed in these. Even when I put on a lid primer these fade away very quickly.

I LOVE this! It glides on sooo smooth, doesn't skip, lasts all day and it's a gorgeous color. Next time I'm at the store I'm going to pick up some of the other colors. I will definitely be repurchasing this. :)

I really enjoy wearing this color on my light brown eyes. I love Almay's general black eyeliner (the only one I have used for eight years) and I love this ALMOST as much. The only downside for me is that the day after I wear it my eyes become very red! This surprised me because I sleep with the black Almay liner on more than half the time and I never have any irritation. Other than that, this liner is every bit as perfect as Almay's black liner: smooth, pigmented, long-lasting and easy to apply (and sometimes on sale!).

I love this eyeliner! I have used it consistently for about 5 years now. I can't tell you how many compliments I have gotten on how pretty my eyes look when I wear this, and it's certainly not just for gals with brown eyes. Whatever your eye color, I highly recommend you give this a try! I love that it's an automatic liner - so much easier than sharpening an eye pencil. It also lasts all day but is still pretty easy to wash off. I want to say it's about $7-8.00? One note: If you're wearing it over the course of a long day, sometimes it can get into the crease of your eyelid, but I use a matte primer before applying the color, and that helps avoid the crease.

Love it! Lasts, noticeable color, doesn't smear, and glides on smooth. Makes it through my 8 hour days if not my 16 hour ones, but that's still pretty good.

I absolutely love this eyeliner! I've used it for over a year now and can't stop re-buying it. The pigmentation is AMAZING. I use this to line my waterline and smudge it onto my lower lash line. It lasts forever and is waterproof. In fact, today I went swimming and forgot to take my makeup off and the liner was still on my lower lash line after about an hour and a half of swimming. I have the black. On my first one, the smudger fell off, but I never use it so it was good it popped off! The packaging isn't anything fancy, I'd love for it to be more decorative but who cares? The liner itself is wonderful. For everyone who says it doesn't look good on your top lid - you're not supposed to put pencil liner on your top lid. I use Prestige liquid liner and it works well.

I was very impressed with this eyeliner. It is purple, but still dark enough not to look silly. The dark purple definitely brings out my brown eyes, and it lasts all day as well. The price is also very reasonable for what you get.

REALLY loved the color, but it only lasted about 5 minutes on my waterline. Works great on the upper/lower lashline though ;)

Does NOT work well as a top lid eyeliner, and works okay for lower lid. Does not have as much pigmentation as I'd like, and does not stand out (have to keep applying, pulls skin). The eyeliner itself is not the soft kind of pencil that works good, it's too hard and doesn't do much for the eyes. But I LOVE the cute little pencil-sharpener at the other end of the pencil, what a great idea! But I would not recommend this product.

I used this brand of eyeliner in Topaz (brown with shimmers) for years because I love brown liners, and that one gave my eye the right kind of "pop" but was still neutral. That formula never smudges or moves on my eye.
This purple one, however, always smudges and forms a line on my upper eyelid/ brow bone area. The brown one never does that!
I'm not buying this purple liner again. I prefer the Urban Decay 1999, I believe. It's not a traditional purple, but has a mauvey tone to it with shimmers. It's still not my HG purple, but at least I don't have to worry about it smudging/moving!

I do really like this eyeliner. I think it's a very pretty shade of purple, and it looked great on my dark coffee brown eyes. I didn't even get to use it up because I watched a show about bacteria and makeup and got all paranoid and threw it out. But now I wish I wouldn't have, such a waste for a product I liked. I'm not so paranoid now, so when I run out of my current purple eyeliner I will probably go out and buy this one again. =)

My mom bought me this product and i didnt like it at all:[. im a fan of brighter more fun purples and this liner is too muddy boring purple for me. This would be good for someone who likes lighter make up with a pop of something different every once in awhile.

I really love this eyeliner! I think Almay eyeliners are the best for drugstore brands. They have a good selection of colors and the staying power is great.
For the people who asked, the little colored part at the end comes out and it's a mini sharpener, so you can sharpen the tip. I don't always like it because it can get a little messy, but whatever.

I really like this eyeliner. I love the color. It's purple, but it's not an obnoxious purple. I can wear it to work and not feel like it's too much. What really impresses me is the staying power. My skin tends to be oily and I have allergies that give me watery eyes, so it's very hard for me to find a liner that stays put. I put this on at 7 am this morning. It's over 12 hours later and I just looked in the mirror and it looks good! Normally, I put on liner and by the time I get to work, it's smudgy and almost gone.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Brunette, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown
The product broke on me and the eyeliner fell out of the plastic holder the entire length of it. This color is beautiful, perfect for my eyes, but easily rubs off and does not have a lasting power. It wears off by the end of the day or ends up extremely smudged.

I'm on my third. I use this everyday... my go-to shade. I love that I don't have to sharpen it, the packaging has lasted through travel and getting tossed into the makeup drawer, and it's cheap! It's very easy to apply, smooth, and a good "neutral" purple (meaning there's no metallic, glitter, or bright coloring). I use it on my waterline and it has so-so staying power; at the very least it doesn't run everywhere. I'll keep trying other liners, but this one is here to stay.

I'm a sucker for purple. It's a beautiful color and it goes well with my brown eyes and complexion. This eyeliner didn't disappoint, glides on smoothly and lasts all day. I only wish there was a way for the point to be a little sharper, I don't always like having a blunt end on my eyeliner.

This color is a cool, dark and shimmery lavender that does not look all that great against my NC30 olive skin. I have brown eyes and it doesn't seem to do anything for them either. EDIT 10/16/10 -- I have experimented some more with this product and figured how to make it look flattering on me (bottom lash line only). I also found that it pairs very well with coral lips and cheeks. I am bumping it up to three lippies. I also love how this liner feels soft and gel-like against the skin. Good formula! EDIT 03/06/11 -- five lippies! Sorry for my first review, Almay. This is an excellent color for brown-eyed ladies!
