Great line if you have sensitive skin , dry and are prone to breakouts. This entire line has been a savior to my skin and would never be without it.

Used this product for a week now (with the Verite lotion cleanser) and liked it immensely. It was light and refreshing in comparison to my regular Avene routine. My skin felt comfortable and well moisturized. The package was elegant and simple. The only off-putting factor was the price. But since it works well with my temperamental, sensitive skin, I have no problem with splurging on a quality product.

Awesome moisturizer for sensitive skin! I never heard of this product or this line by EL, but I was getting new Futurist fndn along w/Lucity powder and when sampling colors on my dry chicago skin in mid-January, the SA suggested it and I'm so glad - I use am and pm - sometimes twice! This cream has cleared up some funk of a rash and scaly spots - $50 but worth it! Would def repurchase! ... not sure I'd use in summer, quite thick. UPDATE:

I would recommend this product not only for sensivitve skin but also for anyone who doesn't want to weird chemicals in their products. I had a terrible reaction to a product I was using which caused me to breakout into red blotchy rashes and tiny pimples all over my face. I tried alot of things to calm my skin and take the rash and pimples away but nothing helped- until I decided to use Verite. It stung my face on first application which worried me, but when I awoke the next morning, what a surprise! My rash had mostly disappeared. My face has cleared up now. Due it being combination-sensitive, my face sometimes looks a bit uneven and reddish-pink in some areas. Verite has literally taken it away. My skin looks matt and even. My mom claims my skin looks brighter. I think this product works well with the advanced night repair serum. I noticed a difference in my skin when I paired the two together, which I didn't really see when I used another EL moisturiser. I have some old scars and my skin actually looks like its repairing itself because they appear lighter. Also, EL says this is for dry skin, but it seems to work well for my skin type. My only wish is that EL would come up with a Verite night moisturiser.

I LOVE this! I definitely think that Verite is VERY undermarketed as a previous reviewer has stated. This, along with Advanced Night Repair, has totally made my skin amazing! I have very Irish acne-prone skin, with some hyper pigmentation due to a sun poisoning episode in the tropics a few years ago. Any other moisturizer I have used tends to make my skin too oily or irritate. This one is just a holy grail. Just the right amount of moisture and no extra liquefied chemical junk. It makes your skin have an amazing healthy glow, and I feel it has toned my acne down tremendously. Also, collagen breakdown IS something that can very easily happen with a lot of the moisturizers out there on the market that have all these extra chemicals that are supposed to prevent wrinkles. This moisturizer just builds up the moisture barrier to the skin, and I feel like I am super pampering myself with this! My only complaint would be the jar packaging, of course, but I use a q-tip to get it out, and the steep price. Considering I have not found anything better though by any means, I am STICKING to this. One jar typically lasts about 6 months. OH, and one other note, I am not a fan of the calming fluid. . I do not see it necessary at all, but the moisturizer is a MUST-HAVE!

Have very sensitive combination skin! This product has calmed redness and irritation while moisturizing dry skin. Light formula. Pleasant smell. Have no idea what ingredients are used, as fragrance usualy irritates my skin, but in this case... love it!

I developed some very inconvenient skin allergies in my 30s, namely to the emulsifiers that bind many moisturizers together, SPF AND sunlight. It took me forever to find a moisturizer that I could use that wouldn't cause raised, bumpy irritation on my flawless, light-toned skin.
Vérité is a must have for me. It doesn't leave a greasy feel to the face, I can smooth it over my eyelids and am able to start makeup application within five minutes.
I would pay $70 a jar for this moisturizer. When I travel, I spoon some of it into a Tupperware midget and put it in my approved liquids, quart-sized bag because I cannot be separated from this moisturizer since I can't just walk into a drugstore to buy it. Can't say enough good things. This is my HG.
One nitpick I have is the packaging. It's wasteful, but with the bad rap plastics have been getting, I think I can live with the use of a heavy glass. I also don't like dipping into a pot, but I wash my hands before to make sure I'm not getting major nasty germs in it.

I recently purchased this product after i found i was allergic to Renutriv luckily i got my money back on that. Verite is lovely to apply but found that i started getting painful water type spots which are difficult to get rid of. I am gutted that a cream for VERY SENSITIVE skin has reacted with mine like this. I will also be taking this back to the shop and will go back to using bio oil instead....IF YOU HAVE SENSITIE SKIN i would not recommend this

Love the Verite Moisture Relief Cream. Feels wonderful going on,
and makes all my foundations and tinted moisturizers look wonderful.
I wanted unscented and no-SPF and got it in Verite. Beautiful jar too.
I feel this product is undermarketed. EL could do a lot more with it.

Love the whole line of Verite products. Has helped my acne by leaps and bounds. I've always been afraid to use a moisture cream on my face, but I was told by the EL rep that just because I have acneic skin does not mean that I don't need a moisture cream. Very soothing, calming and helps my skin appear to have a nice glow.Does not make my face an oil slick in the morning. I do not use it in the mornings, but I do use the calming lotion under my makeup. The price is a little high but I waste a ton of money on garbage that I throw out. Hopefully this product won't prove to disappoint. Will post updates.
Update 4/16/10: Nothing spectacular. I did not have wrinkles around the eye area to begin with, just wanted a little more moisture. I am able to use Olay Regenerest MicroSculpting Cream under my eyes with no sensitivity.

I tried this for 3 weeks, and stopped when I noticed how clogged my pores were, really big, deep clogs. I am VERY clog prone, btw. The cream itself feels nice on, but I did experience the slight burning or irritated feeling while wearing it that others describe. I'm confused, because this is supposed to be for very sensitive skin, the burning sensation is odd to me. I was looking for a moisturizer that doesn't clog me, so the sensation was OK for me, but I imagine that if you had rosacea or some other compromised skin, this might be really bad. I did not use the fluid with it.

Just discovered the verite line at Estee Lauder. From the moment I applied the moisture relief cream I noticed a great improvement in my rosacea redness. However, I was having to apply it frequently as my very dry skin absorbed it quickly. I went to Estee Lauder's website and had a live chat with customer service and she told me I "must, must, must" use this with the calming fluid as the calming fluid is the core of the verite line. So I did...after using the calming fluid my redness increased and the stinging began all over again. But I still love the moisture relief cream.

Verite is Estee Lauder's line for sensitive skin.
This is a lightweight white cream in a jar. It didn't provide enough moisturization for my dry to very dry and sensitive skin. Also, there was a slight irritation. I think this cream is more for normal to dry skin.

I'm so sad that this has petrolatum in it as that is a trigger for Perioral Dermatitis (blotchy redness and little bumps, which I've noticed in the reviews several people got from using this). The Verite cleansing lotion is great, though! I have high hopes that EL will come out with a petrolatum-free moisturiser since they apparently got their act together when they removed fragrance from their Verite line. I can't use this but it looks like others can (1 lippie off). Also petrolatum is crazy cheap and they shouldn't be charging so much if they're going to include such a cheap ingredient (2nd lippie off)

The Verite line was given to me by the Lauder Rep. I deal with. I mentioned that I had sensitive skin and she appared with the whole line, minus the toning spray as it's not available in Canada.
These products were unimpressive, made my skin sting each and every time I used them. The moisture releif cream is alright as a moisturizer but at $80/CDN, I don"t think so! There are no anti-aging benefits, no anti-oxident benefits, just thick cream with no frag or chemical content, which burns my skin interestingly enough and from other reviews I have read apparently this happens not just to me.
I think that Lauder is overrated, over packaged and over priced. It works wonders for some, this is true, but for me I just don't think Lauder is worth the bang for your buck.

I know this product is amazing on my skin but it's just too expensive so I bought several products that might work. None of them worked anywhere near as well as Verite. On weekends, I can use cheaper sensitive-skin moisturisers and they're just as good. On weekdays, I *have* to use this product because I spend most of the day in a terribly air-conditioned office. When I don't, my skin becomes a flaky and dull. If you have very dry and sensitive skin that reacts to the environment, this is great. If that's not you, you might be able to get cheaper alternatives.
One lippie off because of the high price.

I don't mind this - the lotion stings for some reason, but eventually it did calm my sensitized skin. Don't like the jar thing. But here is the secret - apparently the combination of first using advanced night repair, let that sink in, then the verite cream as the moisturizer, this is the combination that actually works. Why? They have no idea, but there is something about the combo. Give it a try....

I tried this product together with the calming fluid. What i liked about it in the first place, was the very light, seemingly natural scent - lavender- and that it seemed a product free from all these extra 'skin pushing' ingredients. So basically just a moisturising care. I did not have sensitive skin, for which this verite line is, but thought it a more natural product compared with others. However, after a week or so of using this, i noticed that my skin actually got sensitive, and more and more so with continued use of the products, my skin startet to feel very thin and tight and a little burning so that i had to apply something to soothe it, which is not something that i had experienced before i started using the verite stuff. So for me, what this product does is, it CREATES sensitive skin.

I've always had extremely sensitive skin. It has been very frustrating trying product after product with no success over the years. Estee Lauder's Verite has been a lifesaver for me. In addition to being sensitive, my skin is also dry, so I need the moisture. I've never had a bad reaction to this product and it keeps my face soft.

I have used this product for years. The last couple of times, I noticed it seems like they have changed the formula. It seems heavier and greasier, but maybe its just me. Still does not make me break out, but my pores are seeming larger. Has anyone else noticed any changes in the formula?
