I've tried other foundations, but I always go back to this one. I have very dry skin and other foundations always make my skin flake and super dry, even though I put on moisturizer under my make up. I wear Classic Tan, and it looks very natural on me. The only problem is that it transfers super easily! I can't even scratch my face if my cheek is itchy because I'll get a brown fingertip! If you like natural looking makeup and don't touch your face a whole lot, this foundation works great.

I have this in all 3 formulations...so I will compare them against one another....my favorite by far, was the one that got discontinued (of course), which was the Fragrance Free (the new Sensitive version is a totally different formula). Luckily, I stocked up on the FF when it got axed, and still have a few bottles left to use. None of the 3 formulas seem to control oil that well (even the oil control one), but what I do like is how the "Clean" line is VERY natural looking and doesn't look like you're wearing makeup. I can skip moisturizer, use this, set it with powder, and get a polished look that is passable as natural skin! I wear "Clean" foundation almost daily, and I certainly have many other foundations in my collection! The only worthwhile shades (meaning NOT pink), are Classic Ivory, Buff Beige, Soft Honey, and Classic Tan, so unless you have strong cool undertones, I strongly recommend sticking to those shades. Shades do run lighter in the Oil Control version, and that one is thicker in formula, but sheerer in coverage. The new Sensitive formula is almost identical in its ingredient list to the Oil Control one, but then, CG is famous for releasing the same formula under different names, over and over :-/

I've been using this foundation since junior high and always end up coming back to it.....I will admit that the one thing I was blessed with is relatively even skin tone that's mostly free of blemishes and is not too oily or too dry....aside from some dark circles under my eyes my skin is pretty even.... that said Cover Girl Clean Makeup is pretty much all I ever need....it provides me with light, sheer coverage that never feels cakey or heavy on my face.....for sure it is my favorite foundation! I've tried some others and always come back to this one....I guess I would call it my HG foundation.....
Bottom Line: Perfect amount of coverage for me but I really only need light coverage, may not be suitable or provide enough coverage for ladies that have more uneven skin tones or have blemishes that need to be covered....deinitely not a full coverage foundation but perfect for me!

This is by far the best foundation i have ever tried. I haven been looking for something very light weight that doesn't break me out and that doesn't make me look "cakey" for a while. Most light coverage foundations don't feel that light for me. I like to feel as if i have nothing on, as if i just applied lotion. This does the trick. the color options are amazing. I actually went a few shades later with my winter shade and even though i tan easily it matched me, because the formula blends into your skin so well. I can't say enough good things about this foundation. I have a little bit of of dry skin and it doesn't make me look flakey at all. the only somewhat con i would say is that it does not have a pump. This is my HG foundation!

Clean makeup? Bull. This is full of nasty parabens and crap that causes cancer, ageing...Caution: Dont get this on your skin.

I decided to try this a few years back after seeing it in my local drugstore. I'm always on the hunt for good drug store foundations. This was not worth buying, however. I bought the lightest color to match my pale skin and it was still too dark, and a little orangey. It didn't make my skin look very even, either. The only thing I liked about it was the smell. I used it only once and since then it has been sitting in my makeup drawer...

I did not like this product. Uneven, never looked smooth, especially on my oily patches. On the plus, it's cheap and there is no bacteria-gathering pump.

The one positive thing about this foundation is the shade selection. The shade I have blends quite nicely into my skin, with little oxidising during the day. However, the shades do lean towards pink in their undertones.
The smell of this foundation is strong, medicinal and AWFUL. Way too runny for my liking.Blending is fairly easy but coverage is quite light and leaves acne scars looking purple, which isn't the best look. Finish is very dewy and looks horrible on oily skin types like myself- needs heavy powdering!!
Poor staying power. Will use the bottle up but won't be repurchasing.

i used this in high school thought to give it another try. The smell is to much. Light coverage but if you put too much on it doesn't give a natural look at all, looks cakey and fake! it was totally a waste of money.

The good thing about covergirl foundations is that you have many different shade options. Unfortunately, the magic stops there. Apply too little of this product, and you get zero coverage. Apply too much, and it looks unnatural and caked on. However, you do get what you pay for, and considering that this foundation is inexpensive, you should not expect too much. I only use this product when running out for quick errands or if I'm just staying home all day.

this product is okay, I got it in a color that was a little dark for me so I mixed it with my concealer. I don't like how this product feels on my skin, cakey and tingly. The packaging isn't that efficient, so if I'd have to bring it with me somewhere for touch ups, I would put it in a smaller container.

I absolutely LOVE this stuff! It's hard to find a perfect shade for my skin. I'm pale, and have freckles so a lot of foundations don't work too well. I have found the perfect shade with this stuff. Its blendable, and buildable. I love it. The packaging isn't the greatest, but it works.

I remember using this foundation when I was in high school and decided to give it a try again a few months ago. It was a waste of money. I have red blotchy skin and this foundation didn't cover anything. I couldn't find a color that matched my skin very well so it wound up just making it obvious that I had makeup on without the benefit of any coverage. I wound up giving it to my teenage daughter who doesn't need a lot of coverage.

This has got to be one of the worst foundations out there! I love the Noxzema scent, HOWEVER, I do not want to feel that tingle all over my face as I apply it. I have the cheekers blush and it has the same old scent but it does not tingle on my cheeks. Forget about the tingles for a minute ~ the foundation was watery and had practically zero coverage. How in the world this foundation has been around for as long as it has is beyond me. I remember trying it a few times in the early 80's but never stuck with it. I should have known better, if I didn't like it back then there was a good reason. If you are looking for a foundation with good medium coverage look FAR AWAY from this one, all you will get with this disgusting foundation is sheer coverage if that. It seems like a tinted moisturizer, and a lousy one at that!

I have the regular 'for normal skin' version and I have used this product for about 28 years and loved it. Great coverage, I also use it with their pressed facial powder in the compact. Good stuff for my complexion which is mixed. I would recommend it if you're looking for a decent product without having to spend over $8 on it.

I use the one in the green bottle, which I believe was for oil control, but I may be wrong. I use the lightest shade, but it was too warm for me, so I mix it with a thinner Maybelline foundation, but alone the coverage is wonderful, medium to full, and it's very smooth. It doesn't break me out, even if I forget to take it off before bed. It's a great product!

SENSITIVE VERSION: I really like this foundation, I've used it for many years now. It is light - medium coverage. I use my (clean) finger to rub/stipple it onto my skin and I've found that that method gives the most natural look and best coverage. I use the matching powder to set it. The bottle has lasted me over a year now and it's not even halfway gone (I only used it on my nose and under my eyes). I have never gotten breakouts from it, my skin seems to tolerate it very well considering I am very breakout-prone. My mother-in-law asked me what kind of makeup I use because she said it always looks so nice. :)

This is a total grease slick! I used to day in the morning thinking that ...ok this is natural looking when i put it on which in fact it did. But to my surprise like a couple hours later, i started to feel like an oil slick. It felt heavy like i was wearing lard on my face. I couldn't wait to come home and take it off. i have never experienced a light foundation like this. I do like covergirl products however, I use the natureluxe or the new covergirl tone rehab which i do like because you can't feel it on your skin. I don't know why i went back to buy this again. I knew it had mineral oil in it and i think thats what contributed to my oiliness in my T zone. Dont waste your money on this formula. I think people would do better the sensitive skin formula. I am swearing off the clean collection and staying with what works. :(

This is so ironic that this product is labeled as being good and ideal for sensitive skin because it is FULL of silicones and is not waterbased at all. This stuff was so thick it wouldn't even come out of the tube! I felt it tingle on my face all day long because it clogged my skin up so bad, but once I realized this was the culprit, I repacked it up to return it to the store...Oh well, yet another sign that I need to try high end foundations.
