I remember freshman year of high school I became obsessed with covering up my acne that I starting using concealer in place of foundation and I would ALWAYS use this one I can even remember how many tubes I went through. Looking back I regret it so much because one it didn't have very good staying power and two I looked SOOO orange! I cringe everytime I remember.

I really needed a new concealer and had heard good things about this one so I decided to splurge and buy it. It was $16.50 for .28 oz, which is a lot of money for a college kid's budget. I bought it in the light matte shade and it was a little too light for my skin. It almost highlighted my blemishes. It also seemed to cake up very easily and dried my skin out a little bit. I honestly don't see why people like this product. You can get a better concealer at your local drugstore for a fraction of the price. But that's just my opinion.

This product is great! I purchased this after I tossed the Almay Concealer I had been using (See review). I will be the first to admit, I'm kind of a Clinique Fangirl, and when I started poking around their website I was immediately drawn to this. You see, I have fairly bad acne, and even on days when there are no "Active" zits, I still prefer a concealer under my powder to cover old scars, uneven skin tone, etc. The website promised a more advanced coverage, and let me tell you, they didn't lie! It comes in a little squeeze tube (really hygienic!), and you just need a tiny amount. You could use a brush, but I find it easier to just dab it on with your fingers and blend. The formula is sort of cream to powder, so you need to work quickly. Once it's on, almost all imperfection is covered, and it will stay in place all day. My only problem is the price, which was a little steep. I guess this'll last a long time, though.
Note: Though I bought this to use on acne, it works well for under eyes too in a pinch.

I bought it in Matte Light. I'm anywhere between NC15 and NC25 depending on the time of year. I have yellow undertones. This concealer is a bit too dark and too pink for me to wear without having to go over it with a powder or foundation that matches my skin perfectly. When I'm darker it'll match better, but still be a bit pink.

It just takes the tiniest smudge of product to cover blemishes, maybe a thin second layer for really large or dark ones. The best application method is to pat with your fingers lightly over the area needing concealing. Brushes don't do it justice.

I do use it under my eyes but it's a bit trickier as it dries matte, however it does not smudge and stays on ALL DAY. It does not highlight any dryness or lines.

Note: It works well on me as a lid primer. I have oily, creasy hooded eyelids and this makes eyeshadow last a long time. I use it when I want a more matte or down-played look.

Overall I love this concealer but if you have a hard-to-match skintone or very dry skin you may want to skip this.

First of all...this concealer only comes in two colors...wtf?!
I bought it in Matte Light...which is too light to be used on my face, but I tried to make it work.
I intended to use this around my nose and under my eyes, and this concealer was AWFUL for both. It made my pores look HUGE, which is normally never a problem for me. It creased under my eyes and settled into my fine lines, yuck.
It says it dries to a powder, which is true, but once the concealer sets it looks awful on my skin.
The packaging is sanitary though, which is a plus.
I have found a use for it...around my eyes to clean up after doing my eyeshadow. It works pretty well for that.
Everything else about this concealer sucks though.

I really like it. I use it for acne scars and existing pimples. Coverage is great and it seems to actually dry up the pimples I do have and make them go away faster than not using makeup. Good price and a tube lasts forever (have had this one for years). Only wish they made this in more colors. Will continue to buy this and only this for all my concealer-related (and eyebrow tinting) needs!!

I really can't decide how I feel about this product. I really like how you only need to use a small amount, the matte finish and how it STAYS on. However this concealer has a horrible color range the 01 matte light I was matched with is super orange and atleast 3 shades darker than anything I use should be and while I cover it with my clinique superbalanced foundation and superpower double facemakeup which are the right color match so that fixes the color problem but it still bothers me since I can't use it alone. Also while the concealer covers acne scars and blackheads great it doesn't do the best job at covering zits it looks cakey and uneven.

Suffering from oily and acne-prone skin, I hesitate when trying out new products; I should have never tried with this one. Said to be one of the best concealers on the market, this concealer did anything BUT conceal, and instead, caked in the locations I barely dabbed, and made the slight scar I had a massive distraction. After taking this product back, the rep herself told me that she didn't care for the product for the same reasons, and offered me the acne-solutions concealer which I immediately turned down from the ratings it received here on MUA. I'm very upset with Clinique as I was making the switch from Neutrogena; but now that I cannot find a single concealer, I may just have to suck it up and apply a full coverage foundation to simple scars and blemishes--I don't like doing this as I have severely oily skin! Overall, if you have oily skin, you will NOT like this product: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

More than I usually spend on a concealer, but worth every penny. I like the way it dries to a nice matte finish and the smallest amount really gave me excellent coverage. I got this to cover a very dark blemish and was sure I would still see it, but I didn't. No break outs so far, held up well throughout the day, and no smell. I give this product an Aplus.

This is the best long-wearing spot concealer I've found that stays put. I use a tiny amount on any small problem areas or discolorations. It covers them completely, and I don't have to worry about it fading away. My HG!!

Excellent coverage. Dries to a power. Very concentrated. I use on the occasional blemish. NOT FOR THE EYE AREA, SERIOUSLY, JUST DON'T DO IT. It is so concentrated, it would not do well on the thin eye skin. I do wish it had more color choices. I love.

I use this over my acne scars and it covers everything. I have never used anything like it, and this is probably almost a holy grail product for me :) It can get a little drying after about 5-6 hours of wear, but i'd rather have that then look oily. I only need the smallest amount for my whole face, and I can see it lasting for about a year so it's definitely worth it!

I find this concealer cakey. I only put it under my eyes since i've heard it is not ideal to put over acne (could potenially cause breakouts). So i only use a tiny bit, dab it under my eyes and pat it until it is dry and spread evenly but i find it doesnt look right. I may have bought a color that is a bit too light for my skin tone but i still don't like how cakey it looks and it also makes my skin look dried out.Ive tried mixing it with moisterizer and that does help a bit and i use a very little amount (a little goes a long way with this product) Anyway, i do not think i would use this again since it makes my skin look dried out.

HG BLEMISH CONCEALER! Finally I found a concealer I can use on my face w/o being worried about getting broken out!!! This is AMAZING because even though it's liquid, it becomes powdery and silky on skin! I have had NO BREAKOUTS from this concealer, which is amazing because I have tried MANY others (Maybelline, Almay, Covergirl, Revlon, Neutrogena, Rimmel, Gabriel Cosmetics, etc.) and ended up getting clogged pores, irritated breakouts, unhygenic-bacteria-filled concealers, etc..So even though I use Finacea under mu, I was ALWAYS still breaking out...The packaging tube makes this a very hygienic concealer and the quality is SOOOOO AMAZING because it is VERY CONCENTRATED and you only need a TEENY tiny bit for each blemish/area of coverage...it makes my horrible skin look a million times better and more even/clear without giving me more skin clogging....HG STATUS!!! ONLY WISH I FOUND THIS SOONER!

Edit:
Sadly, I soon figured out this was a main source of many breakouts/irritation bumps I got all over wherever I put this concealer...Switched back to Maybelline Superstay and my skin is clearing right up! Sad but at least I don't have to shell out triple the price for something I use on a daily basis that ends up breaking me out anyways....

This is a great concealer. Covers very well and has great staying power, but I have to agree with others. It is drying, so I just add extra eye cream. Will definetlly try again.

Love it. I have been having a lot of problems with breakouts lately. I use Bare Minerals makeup and would normally just use extra on my blemishes to cover them. However, that doesn't seem to be working anymore as my skin has been extremely oily with the humid summer weather and it has been completely melting off my face! Clinique to the rescue. This is very matte and does not melt off. It is VERY concealing. Like others said - it can be a bit dry - and it can look slighty cakey if your skin is flaky. I'm ok with it being dry as my skin is so oily anyway & it being matte helps it stay on. I regret not finding this earlier! I didn't know how bad the BM was as a concealer until I got this.

Oh. my. god. this is amazing.
don't listen to the other people who say its horrible! this concealer covers everything from acne to under eye circles. It leaves my horrible skin flawless, and a little goes a long way. I am NOT some person who says they have horrible acne and only has 3 pimples. I have right now 10 pimples, and this covers up everything. my skin also have very bad redness, and just a little dot of this covers it up like a charm. i can actually wear this and not need foundation! thats how well it works! so if you're like me with horrible skin, use this concealer. its the ONLY high end product I use, and its well worth the money. It also covers up under eye circles very easily, one really small dot on my finger covers both eyes and eyelids. very good consistency, creamy, lightweight, heavy coverage, long wear, i could go on and on. 5 lippies.

EDIT
I ended up changing concealers... I know I said it was amazing, but I didn't know much about concealers. It doesn't last all day. It clings to dry spots easily, and the shade I got (light) ended up being orange on my skin, I just didn't know it :P
You can try it, but it looks cakey easily in my opinion. It does offer high coverage though, and dries to a very powdery finish if you want that.
I now use maybelline superstay concealer. It gives just as good coverage, but had a more natural look and matches me better. Never cakes, and always lasts forever. 3 lippies for clinique.

Price: $17 (Canadian)
Packaging: a thin tube with very small spout that allows you to take out for little; great packaging
My Experience: I think this concealer is fantastic for the undereye area (although some others don't seem to think so). It's creamy outside the tube and rubs onto to a almost powdery silky finish. Works great if you don't have crowsfeet or deep wrinkles around the eye area. I use Matte Light (the product only comes in 2 shades) and use VERY LITTLE. If you apply to much, than you'll have the opposite effect of racoon eyes. It's very concentrated in pigment, so don't use too much.

I liked this when I first bought it, it works so well for blemishes. But the color range is horrible! I haven't tried the light, maybe that'll work for my NC 30 skin? I bought Medium, applied it lightly on some blemishes and thought it looked flawless. But when I did the daylight test....omg...this stuff is ORANGE. It doesn't work under my eyes either because it's such a dry, powdery formula.
