I am really excited about intense line defense. I used a sample one night - after I had been noticing some fine lines I was getting and I woke up and these lines were already softened. I immediately ordered a new bottle. It just makes your skin look fresh and beautiful. Besides softening fine lines it has exfoliating properties which really make your skin look amazing!

1 lippie for being the only exfoliant EVER to NOT irritate my face. 2 lippies for waking me up the next morning and seeing skin that looks a bit brighter, a bit cleaner, and feels a bit smoother (and this is only after a couple days) and for almost having me think Id never actually exfoliated my face before. Minus 1 lippie for having absolutely no effect on "smile lines" around my mouth even though I've been using religiously for 2 months (I mean maybe its not meant for that, but the title then is just a tad bit misleading, dont you think). 1 more lippie for having this sort of restorative effect. Trying other products on my sensitive, porous skin seems to leave me with red bumps (irritation), pimples, scars (popping pimples, gross i know) among other things. This chemical exfoliant is tried and true though in not aggravating any of the other problems and continuing to do its job. Makes me feel that I have a clean slate everyday. Yay for 4 lippies. Yay for skinceuticals

I liked this product. I got sample sizes off ebay. I put it on at night (several drops) and felt my skin looked better in the morning. It helped with fine lines around my eyes. I plan to re-purchase.

This serum is 12% hydroxy acid in a hyaluronic acid base. I've been using it about a year and my skin is noticeably, visibly improved!! This isn't advertised for acne, but one of the biggest differences in my skin is that I don't get clogged pores or pimples the same way I used to. My skin is glowing and clear except for one or two zits that I might get during my time of the month. Any zits that I do get heal remarkably fast. I am very fair and my breakouts used to leave residual red marks for anywhere between two weeks and a month. Now they fade within a couple days to a week. Last year, I was just beginning to be bothered by some fine lines. My makeup was constantly looking gross as my foundation/concealer would slide into them. They are definitely diminished now, and I'm not sure if I can attribute it to the Intense Line Defense or my Kinerase cream because I started using both at the same time. I will continue to use both products faithfully now, because my fine lines are barely there now and my makeup stays smooth, where once it had migrated into every line. I purchase my serum on Ebay from reputable sellers. I prefer the 2oz. professional sized bottle because it comes in dark glass that protects the active acids. I can usually find one sealed 2oz. bottle for $60. (They are $140 retail, IIRC)

Unlike many reviewers here, I had a totally bad experience with this product - it gave me a chemical burn, which took some time to appear, like two weeks of nightly use! But my skin won't allow me to use leave-on AHAs anyway. I wanted to like this, and think that it wouldn't bother me because Skinceuticals is a high-quality line, and a kind MUAer had given me several sample-sized bottles of this to try, but sadly no dice. I had to discontinue, due to angry red patches and even a couple of breakouts that it took a long time of very TLC with a simple natural healing regimen.

I like this product. It is gentle on my sensitive skin. I applied it to my neck, outside of eyes and the creases that want to form around my mouth. I don't want to look like a Muppet. I noticed results over night. Even though I don't have deep lines, I'm hoping this product will prevent them. In my family we look young for our ages but I figure why give Father Time a hand. I'd like to stay looking younger!
UPDATE: This product can redden my skin so I'd use it at night. I have rosacea, so I am not sure if this product would redden normal skin. I use this every so often & prefer to use the B5 gel every day.

I bought this after reading it was better than the alpha beta daily peels. I'm almost done with the bottle and honestly will not be repurchasing this. It's "ok".. it exfoliates and makes my skin soft but that's it. It doesn't help my existing lines or large pores or acne.

This is a great, no frills product. It does what it says -- exfoliates overnight -- without any gimmicks or bells and whistles. And, unlike so many exfoliating products, it doesn't sting.

Very hydrating gel formula which helps keep skin clear i am using this along side the Serum 20 AOX and would recommend these two items to anyone who has oily/sensitive skin prone to breakouts.

This is an ok product. It is an AHA product that I have been using during the day as you can't combine AHAs with retinols (which I use at night). (I read that AHAs neutralize retinols). I hate the packaging. It is in a clear glass bottle and it is photosensitive (duh!) and it has a dropper to get the stuff out which is really liquidy and quickly runs everywhere. I think you can get a better AHA product for way less money.

I like this AHA product, but I think MaMa lotion and Nucelle work better. At least with Mama I you can actually see results. I gave it a rating of 3 because I think it's too expensive for what it does or rather for what it doesn't do.

I have been using this gel off and on for the last year. I seem to get bored but always come back to it to help even out my skin and make it smoother. It doesn't dry out my skin and it makes a significant difference just after a few days of use.

I use this on the nights I don't use Retin-A. i.e.before getting brows waxed, facials, etc., and this is a great product. It was the first Skinceuticals product I purchased based on the reviews here on MUA, I pretty much agree with all the positive reviews below, and am grateful for being introduced to this skincare line.

This product is great. It really helps to keep my pores clean and my skin clear. I mix it with Retin-A Micro and the serum actually makes the Retin-A work better and irritate me less. Will definitely repurchase this product.

I would probably repurchase, but this will be lower on my list of priorites than some of the serums would be. My skin is oily but clear. I've used this regularly all over my face at night for about 3 weeks. My skin looks slightly smoother and the pores a big more refined, but that's about it. For me the improvements are slight but they are there. Since I don't have any pronounced winkles, I can't comment on the specific improvemnt of any particular "line", but I do think this is a pretty good general exfollient and it's probably kinder to the skin in the long run than using a scrub daily. If it helps other products work more effectively, then I would say it's worth the price, but that may just be hype from the cosmetic companies. In short, the product does work, but whether it's good value for money is less clear now. I will update after 6 weeks if I have any significant improvement.
Updated: I revised my original rating down from 4 to 2. This gave my skin a temporary smoothness, but provided no real result to speak of and I can't justify the horrible expense.

Not sure what to say about this product really. I didn't notice any difference with using this so I stopped. Maybe it was working, I don't know but I guess it's not worth the price to me if I don't notice any difference.

My facialist recommended this for my blackheads actually. I am on my second bottle of it and can recommend it highly. I have slightly oily skin, but larger pores around my nose and upper checks. This product burned a bit the first week I used it, then calmed down. After about 2-3 weeks I noticed my skin was softer and smoother, and the pores were cleaner (not necessarily smaller, but looked smaller b/c this cleans out the top layers of gunk). I used to use Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta peels, but facialist said this had more "juice" in it so this is all I use now. I use this in the pm with the C E Furylic (am) and skin is clearer, smoother and brighter than before I used these products.
