It's a bit pointless reviewing this and even considering if I would buy it again, because this product has been discontinued in favour of an SPF version, which won't be available in Canada anyway until next year because the ingredients in the SPF are still being passed by for approval from the governing boards that be. Until then, TBS is lacking in a liquid foundation.

Anyway, the absolute worst thing about this product is that it's hard to squeeze out of the tube, especially when it's just under half-empty and slowly being drained. It's even worse than getting the last of the toothpaste. It didn't help me to get my husband to help me squeeze it out either, because he squished out enough to cover my entire torso in a light sheen of liquidy goodness.

The texture is creamy and almost like a heavy, condensed mousse. Wonders of wonders, it covers the redness of blemishes, but not my freckles, which I like to remain visible since it's rare for a Chinese girl to have freckles in the first place. Basically, it gives off a nice effect of smoothing out skin in a gossamer-like composition. With a brush, I find the thickness of the product makes it a bit more work to blend. The initial strokes pull the foundation, leaving the pattern of the brush on your face in foundation. Last note, this product definitely needs to be set with a pressed or loose powder afterward, and can't be used on its own without leaking off your face.

Also known as the 'Ultra Smooth Foundation'. This was my first ever foundation and I have used it for over 2 years. I bought this in shade 02 which was an excellent match for my cool-toned skin. Before I moved to desert country, I had combination skin and this foundation was perfect for it. However, my skin eventually became very dry and unfortunately this foundation started highlighting all of the dry flakes on my face (even after applying a heavy moisturizer). I have switched to MAC's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation which is relatively better for my dry skin.

I still like this foundation though. It is easily blend-able, and offers light coverage (claims medium coverage on the website) but can effectively even-out the skin tone. For darker blemishes and spots you might need to use a concealer. It is lightweight and offers a powdery and matte-finish with a radiant glow. It’s long lasting enough for me (4-5 hours). Because of the powdery finish, setting your face with loose power and of the likes is not necessary. The foundation didn’t break me out at all. Comes in a 25ml squeeze tube. Price is quite reasonable, around $26.

Too bad I won't be using this again, as my skin tends has been on the drier side these last few months. Would recommend this to girls with combination skin type (dry skinned people, don't even think of buying this foundation); however I think the product’s being discontinued.

I've tried shade 02, match with my skin and give a radiant glow with medium coverage, just exactly what I want. This foundation works like it promise "A range of lightweight but long lasting liquid-to-powder foundations that provide medium coverage with a smooth, radiant-looking matte finish." and doesn't dry my skin, cakey or heavy. Usually I used a sponge for a light coverage and then apply a pink loose powder to makes my skin looks more fresh and matte, but sometimes I just wear the foundation alone for a glowing/dewy look.
The price is ok, and the packaging was good and hygienic.
But it still not my HG foundation, i'm still looking something better than this.

Define ghost. Me, wearing the foundation in Shade 04. That's most likely because I got the completely wrong shade while I was testing it in the store. But personally, I don't like the texture either. It could hardly cover my imperfections and made them look a little grayish. But I don't want to waste it, so I use it as an eyeshadow base on my eyelids, and I think it does great!

Even though I am quite pale, I tried this in 04 and it was a perfect match. Shade 03 had too much pink for me. My daughter is porcelain and wears 02. It applies and wears very well, glides on and turns into a somewhat powdery finish. I use Retin A and find this will accentuate flakies, but am willing to live with that because this makes my face glowy and not flat-matte. The only foundation that I like better than this is Estee Lauder Futurist. One thing that I don't like, the standard size for liquid foundation is 30 ml and the Body Shop only delivers 25 ml. However, price point is good. A pump container would be nice so that no product is wasted (the tube is rigid and rather hard to get product out near the end).

This foundation is my holy grail to having perfect skin! I use shade 03 and find it matches my skin perfectly. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the shades are pretty tricky--there is not much range or variety but I did find mine with the help of a consultant at TBS.
My fave way to use this is with my finger tips or with a damp sponge. My skin looks like velvet after; never cakey or dry either and keeps my skin looking fine until late evening. It evens out my skin perfectly and blends perfectly. I find dotting it on and tapping it into the skin works best. If you rub it in, it won't give you any coverage.
The tube is a bit ackward and you have to really squeeze it to get any product out--not looking forward to using it once my tube is almost empty. I wish they had made the tube more flexible.
The price was not bad either--moderately priced for a department store quality foundation. I will definetly be purchasing this again when I run out.

Hard to review this because I could not get past the poor selection of shades. Not a single shade came close.

Also, worst packaging I have ever used, or tried to use. A stiff plastic tube that requires much effort to squeeze?, is that what I was supposed to do with this stuff.

I gave it two lippies b/c I think the texture was nice. When you finally got it out of the tube.

Okay, I worship this foundation! I bought it while on a mini vacation and actually didn't expect a lot. Well, it makes my skin look like a million bucks. Velvety texture, light to medium buildable coverage, great match with my very pale skin, and it blends like a dream with finger or brush. It ignores my fine lines and megapores, and gives me an airbrushed finish that I love. I do have to dab on MAC Blot powder around the nose after a few hours, but then when don't I? I hesitate to call a product HG, since I know I'll keep looking anyway, but this foundation IS pretty fantastic on my skin. Because of the texture, I make sure I exfoliate well. But if I apply this with a foundation brush, then dust a huge powder brush over Blot, and tap the excess off the brush until you can't even see the powder before buffing it all over my face - I get a really pretty airbrushed effect that lasts most of the day. ( Other than the nose, as I said before.) It's just a little above drugstore price but well worth it.

I light and smooth liquid- (almost cremé-like) to powder foundation. Have a tendency to flake on dry spots though, and it's a bit thick to get out of the thin tube-like package (which by the way look nice), a pump may solve this problem in the future TBS?

I have 04 but by the way, even though I think I'm pale it matches perfect.

I love that this comes in my exact shade; I love the finish; I love the texture... but I don't love that it breaks me out like nobody's business. It sucks, because I was so happy to find a foundation that actually matched my skintone :(

I work at TBS and this is my fave foundation to use when doing makeups.I moisturise the skin well first ,then apply this with a sponge not a foundation brush and then spray with water/face mist to take away the powdery look. This foundation gives a light coverage with a slightly powdery finish it makes the skin look beautiful ,i really like working with it.do not use this though if you have dry flaky patches though because it does grab ,but moisturising ur skin well may help a lot with that .overall really like this

A real time review from a new user of this foundation.

I tried the sample at the shop yesterday, and liked the texture of the product very much. As the no.2 tint really mends well onto my skin, I was pretty much convinced. I'm a Asian, but have a very light skin tone, so for foundations I really have to look for a color which is not too pale, nor too yellowish. This one is quite satisfactory.

Today I had the first test on skin. I've had my foundation on since 7am, and now it's almost 2pm, all looks smooth and fine. No flaky, nor greasy traces on my skin. I have combo skin that tends to be shiny on the t-zone. But this one works just fine, together with the right moisturizer, it's a perfect day time foundation.

This foundation is more matte than dewy, so for those who likes the "dewy look", should probably use a more liquid formula.

Very happy with the purchase on the whole, will certainly finish my tube.

This product has lightweight velvety texture that is so easy to spread. Takes a real while to learn to apply this however, which is unlike me (I usually master application of particular foundation within 1-3 usage). Works best with my Lancome Foundation Brush. It does create a very smooth matte finish, at the application time it is. It has the tendency to cake by the end of the day, and if you apply it incorrectly, it will crack. Don't use it while you're all dry and flaky! It will just accentuates the flakes. Does nothing to control oil, and I think it has the tendency to oxidize. And it is pricey! In Indonesia, considering the amount you get (25ml) it is even pricier than MUFE Face and Body Liquid =_= I'm MAC NC15 and I use #2. Pretty good match although I think it's a little bit too yellow. All in all this is a pretty good foundation, but certainly not the best. Won't repurchase

On my NC 20 skin the 03 was a perfect match. I am a LLL Asian, have oily skin and do not have fine lines yet. It minimized the size of my pores and made my skin look so perfectly even and smooth. The price is right as well. However this needs touch ups especially in the tropics where I live or my T-zone i'll grease up and sweat like crazy. Invisible to the naked eye as well. Cannot cover major zits though.

This stuff emphasizes the tiniest dry spots imaginable even after I coat my face with face cream my face still looks flaky. It doesn't have the slightest bit of coverage and by the time I can blend it in, it's gone. I did love the smell though. It smelt of cookies!

Shade 01 was tolerable for my very pale skin, but slightly too yellow. Its not a bad foundation, don't like that it has no pump, but it is cheap. Coverage was medium. I found that it had a tendancy to go a bit cakey, and didnt stay fresh looking. Wouldn't buy it again now that I've eventually found a better colour match at Prescriptives :)

This is a wonderful foundation. Not only did I find a great color match (#7) for my light-tan skin but I got on sale for $10. This stuff has a creamy velvet texture and goes on easily (I always put moisturizer under my makeup). It covers minor flaws and doesn't settle into my pores. I gotten so many compliments on my "skin" since I started wearing this. Also I think the ingredients are really benefiting my skin. It's so much softer since I started using this. I would definitely repurchase.

Upon the first day of buying this, I thought this was my miracle foundation. I was yet to be proved wrong by the second day, in which I found this foundation has a tendency to target the skin flakes on my skin a little even after I had put on moisturizer. Over time this foundation really begins to smell nasty.. Of what, I don't know. It has very light coverage and covers up discoloration a bit. It just doesn't make my skin look good. The smooth quality is great for sensitive skin types. It has only given me a pimple so far, but I fear there's more to come.. It's oil-free and, not to mention, the Body Shop mostly uses natural ingredients. I love the portability of the packiging- It's unbreakable and easy to carry. I can apply this foundation with my fingers with easy blending, no sponge necessary.
