I started using this again because I found that my Dr. Weil cream has been too heavy for day-weird. Anyway, to my surprise, UM isn't super thick and overly hydrating, but just right. My skin isn't flaky, but it sure feels tight this time of year. Usually my skin is a bit drier, but for some reason, it isn't too much this year. I'm really happy at how this cream has made my skin look. I use it over A Perfect World serum and my skin hasn't been smoother.

This product does mosturize but not as heavy as you would expect from a product that is said to deliver moisture urgently to dry skin. I agree with the people below: not enouh moisture for my dry nose and it is difficult to follow with foundation as it can be sticky.

my skin is really dry in the winter, so this really made my skin feel a bit smoother and feels like it actually absorbed into the skin. i prefer this over some other moisturizers, but i don't think it's moisturizing enough for the whole day.

*edit* i have to resort back to this moisturizer. thankk god it's not discontinued!!

This moisturizer is very good, but it feels waxy and sticky. The Origins SA told me that it is really a treatment that goes over a moisturizer. I am not sure how accurate this is when it says nothing of the sort on the bottle or the website. (update on this, I found out that she just wanted to make a sale, you don't need a separate moisturizer, because this is soley a mosturizer). I think this is better used at night because in the morning, my face feels softer. But it's too waxy/sticky to use in the morning. I don't plan on repurchasing at this time. If my views change, I will update this review.

UPDATE:
Okay, this is a great moisturizer, HOWEVER, I do stand by what I said with it being sticky feeling. I don't like to apply makeup directly over it since it's a bit sticky to apply makeup smoothly. I think it's still best for a night moisturizer. It does work great to moisturizer my very dry skin. And I like the fact that it's in a bottle, which is more sanitary than the jar packaging that they commonly use. I would repurchase however.

Wow! Didn't expect much from Origins but this is really a great face moisturizer. My skin is very problematic...forehead can get oily/normal but cheeks will be as dry as the desert. I end up breaking out a lot because of the dryness of my cheeks and wintertime...so I've been looking for a heavier moisturizer for the winter. Unfortunately, most of them have broken me out b/c they're too oily and heavy for my face! This one is just right...it actually absorbs into the skin, leaving it hydrated, not just greasy! One of the few moisturizers i've ever used that actually moisturized my dry patches! Only reason I gave it 4 lippies was b/c I'm not sure if I'm breaking out because of this cream or the sunscreen I used the day before...I will have to update to let you guys know. In the meantime, get a sample of this if you can, perfect for wintertime moisture!

UPDATE 12/30/04: Never mind...it wasn't the effects of the moisturizer I was feeling, it was the Perricone treatment that was doing it for my skin....I had a sample of Perricone's product that I had just finished at the time when I started using this product and now I realize that its Perricone I should've invested in, not Origins. Dropped this down from 4 lippies to 2...sorry Origins...not moisturizing enough for me, I'm still getting flakies :(

UPDATE 2/16/05: Holy crap, this stuff really sucks. I've dropped it down to one lippie because over the past month and a half that I've been using this, my skin has become red and blotchy with dry patches all over the place. I didn't understand why my skin perpetually looked like it was red and raw until I realized it was this Urgent Moisture. I'm probably allergic to one of the many ingredients in this lotion. Last night was the first night I didn't use it and my skin looks so much better...no more red patchiness. I would stay away from this if you have sensitive skin!!

While I did enjoy this, I really bought the wrong product. I have combination skin, and this moisturizer was just too heavy in the summer. But it really does deliver moisture instantly and works great in the winter, when my skin balances out better. Smells great, and also works nicely on hands.

This is a decent moisturizer for winter. It's not heavy and greasy, which is a plus, but it also isn't quite strong enough for my really dry winter nose. Finding something that can deal with all elements of my combination skin in the winter can be a real challenge. This does a good job on most of my face, but my nose is still dry and flaky, and this also makes my nose sting. Yikes. I'm still searching for a good winter moisturizer. This worked on most of my face, just not my nose.

This is a wonderful moisturizer during the winter for my combo skin. Not greasy and it sinks right it. Plus, a little bit goes a long way. Leaves my skin soft and moisturized without making it oily.

I'm in love! The perfect moistureizer. It makes your skin soft as well as wonderfully hydrated. It feels like dipping your face into cold water and lasts forever.

I was told by my derm that i had some excema this spring, and being acne prone/oily skin, i was not pleased with this dilemna. So at night i needed something i could spot my dry spots and i tried a variety of products including Origins Constant Comfort, then i found a sample of urgent moisture. Wow, what a difference this makes. I put on my dry spots that flake out by the end of the day and they are fine. This product was a godsend. Will purchase the full size. I will use this along with OoO Complete spf 30 during the summer, and we'll see how my complexion fares.

Has totally turned around my dry, flakey, eczema prone skin (with undercoat of Make a Difference). A bit thick and the pot is a pain (would prefer a bottle) but it works.

Got this in a sample and I am really enjoying it. I've never liked using moisturizer on my skin, but this is a nice light, but effective touch of moisture. I can't stand that oily feeling that most lotions give me, and this is a clean and refreshing option. Will probably buy a full-size when the sample runs out.

I got this as a sample from Gloss. Faint lemony/yeasty scent, and good moisturizing power. I only use it as a spot treatment for dry patches, so the sample is going to last, but I might rebuy when it runs out.

Oh, beautiful miracle cream, where have you been all my life. I woke up one morning to forehead wrinkles at 28 wondering what had I done to arrive at such an awful fate. I’d already begun to notice other dry patches in my skin and hoped against hope that my skin had changed and I just hadn’t realized it. It was soon after that an informed Origins employee directed me to this miracle in a jar and it was that very day that I began my love affair with Origins. That evening I applied the lightweight, greaseless cream to my face and awoke the next morning crease-free. In the event that Origins ever discontinues this cream, please, put me out of my misery, as I will be blathering on of creaseless days gone by unable to be placated. All of you with dry skin, who’ve tried everything to enjoy a bit of moisture, run to the store and give this cream a try. I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

I love this, it is the lightest feeling, non acnegenic, moisturizing cream for dry spots. This is a pearly clean smelling cream that leaves absolutely no grease. I use it whenever i get a dry spot and it penetrates deeply and soothes. I have also discovered it does wonders for my cuticles and hands! It feels great, smells great, and does everything it claims to and more.

I discovered this product through my mum, who's a fan, and I'm really impressed with it. It comes in a sturdy white tube and despite saying it's for super-dry skin, it works beautifully on my combination skin. It's fairly thin and 'slips' over the skin really well. It absorbs after a minute or so and doesn't make my skin feel oily at all. What I love is the creamy texture that becomes liquidy upon contact - it's light and can be used even in the warmer months. My mum tends to get oily during the day and this moisturizer suits her just fine.

I really like this product, not really a HG, but it improved the quality of my skin. I use am and pm Origins Have a Nice Day Cream, which I LOVE. In order to add some moisture, I use Urgent Moisture on top of my moisturizer at night (10 min after applying my moisturizer actually :)), and wake up with a glowing skin + no break out. I tried to use it during the day as well, but it was too tick. Packaging is great as it comes in a jar or a tube and it's not overpriced ($25 for 1.7oz).

This is a great product for dry skin!! A lightweight feel going on and while it does take a while to absorb, your skin feels so soft and hydrated after it does. I would recommend only using this at night since I found it a tad too heavy to use under makeup. Wonderful for revitalizing dry winter skin.
