Great pigmented, creamy, lip gloss. Very opaque, but can be sheered down when applied lightly. Can be worn on its own or over lipstick. Like all MAC lipglasses, it's quite thick. Does not leave a stain behind.

I just bought this product today from Macy's and I'm in love with this lip gloss. I've been searching for the perfect red that wasn't too overpowering but yet still bold and this did it for me. It has a hint of gloss and is very pigmented which is a plus for me. I wanted a red lipstick originally, but I just didn't care for their red lipsticks; they were too loud for me and plus you need a lip liner.The price factor does kinda suck considering that your only getting little product, but I'm still happy with my choice. I also had the same effect when it comes to the sticky-ness that other comments mentioned, but I personally like it that way so I know that the gloss is still on. The sticky-ness doesn't bother me too much. It also doesn't have a bad smell which is a plus. Overall I love this product and cannot wait to wear it.

I am absolutely terrified of red lipsticks but I love how it looks on others. I was determined to make the look work for me but after many failed attepts with various versions of red lipsticks I had almost given up. I saw this lipglass on cheapsmells.com so I thought what the heck I'll give it a try.

I'm so glad I did. This is a gorgeous opaque red which isn't as over powering or clownish as a red lipstick. You can make it as sheer or as strong as you like and it realy is a less 'obvious' alternative to a lipstick. I wear it over Mac's Hue lipstick to get the best out of the colour.

For reference I have Platinum blonde hair and am a NW20

This is a great, true red lipgloss.
It is very pigmented, opaque in a couple of swipes. I often wear this without any lipstick at all!
It's very glossy and shiny, and I love that even after a few hours, it's still opaque and glossy.
All in all, I love it!

Gorgeous blood red color on the lips!!! This is extemely pigmented, I also own Russian Red and I almost wished I found this lipglass first because it's more amazing than it's lipstick counterpart. Worn on top of Russian Red it's the most perfect pinup look. Lasts long time on lips but it is very sticky, but I love the look too much to care!

I love this lipglass. The texture IS really sticky, but I don't find it particularly discomforting, Just the usual texture of all MAC lip glosses. This lipglass has great colour pay off, and its 'less serious' than its lipstick counterpart which I love just as much. It looks fantastic on my NC42 toned skin and lasts for a fairly long time, even with eating and drinking. I snagged this off strawberry net for NZ$23 which I thought was a steal considering lipglasses are NZ$40ish from a MAC store. This is now a staple and is so lovely for all year round. Must have.

This is my absolute HG red lip color. It is a little bit sticky, but I would much prefer sticky to being too dry, so it really doesn't bother me too much. I love the pin-up/sex kitten vibe I get from this color while I am wearing it. I will say that it is not for the faint of heart because it is definitely RED. I absolutely love it!

This is really red! I like the colour - I think it doesnt' look like it's lipstick counterpart at all. But my gripe is that it's TOO sticky. My hair gets caught in it when it's windy, lol. It's gorgeous but I hate the sticky feeling on my lips. It's pricy for a lipglass, but then again there's other brands even pricier. So it's fair.

Would I buy it again? Maybe, when I run out. I don't wear it often due to my annoyance of the product, but when I do, I love the colour - the pinup feeling it gives me.

I bought this to wear on top of Ruby Woo because of how dry it can be. I was absolutely blown away by the colour pay-off! It goes on RED. I was expecting something sheer that would add an unflattering stain when worn alone, but this is a wonderful opaque red. It looks great on my NC20 skin. This has inspired me to try the other lipglasses! :)

I'm in love with this red gloss. Its the perfect shade of red and has a beautiful gloss finish (obviously). I always wanted a red lipstick but don't really like lipstick b/c I prefer gloss. So this was a very happy medium. color payoff is great. lasting power is pretty good considering it is a gloss.

I have really plump lips so I always stay away from lipsticks.
also im only 19 so i think lipsticks make me look wayyyy older
I really like rep lips , but since i have plump lips lipstick is not an option for me,

which gives me beautiful red lips just perfect for night outs and stays for LONG !
Mac lipglasses are my HG lipglosses.
I know they're sticky but the staying powers is AMAZING.
Also I just LOVE how they fade so evenly on my lips !

I tried the lipstick form (wich was kinda brick red wich i dislike)and it's indeed very different from the lipgloss version wich is more red, now i do like russian red! :-)

I really like this & I kind of didn't expect to. For some reason it's more flattering against my C5/NC42 coloring than the lipstick. Plus it's more opaque & less sticky than most lipglasses, which was another pleasant surprise. It works well alone or on top of RR and other red toned lippies, so I will definitely repurchase.

I have always been looking for the perfect red to wear on my lips and now I believe I have found it with this. It's very tacky/sticky and you should take your time when applying it, and it does get on your teeth, so a trick I learned years ago is to stick your finger between your lips and then pull it out and it stops it from transfering on your teeth.

Very nice true red lip gloss on me. A tad drying though, so I layer this over a thin coat of Kiehl's #1 lip balm. Staying power wise I get about 3-4 hours of wear with normal eating and drinking then it fades to an even stain without the horrible dark-lip-liner-pale-lips look. Can't say much about the price since I got it dirt cheap during a Xmas sale. Would def repurchase if I ever do run out :)

i must say i prefer this to the lipstick.. i am not normally a lipglass girl (prefer lipsticks) but certain ones i really like. this is quite pigmented and i love it for a quick red lip when i want the drama but not the time to line, apply and gloss.

OMG! I just <3333 this lipgloss color. I'm never a lipstick girl cause my lips are super dry so I always go for lipgloss instead. It is hard to find a lipgloss with high pigments especially when it comes to red. The color is super super red and it is highly pigmented. All it took was 1 layer to get the true red color. It is glossy and bright. I have red lipgloss from other brands but they always sheer red. Ok, the color looks true red on my lips and I have the warm Asian skintone. Not Asian Chinese skintone, more like Asian Pinay skintone. It is a difficult color to put on if you're in a rush. You have to carefully apply it so it won't look messy. I definitely love it for the pinup look and the whole classic look.

Like all Mac Lipglass, it is sticky but hey, that makes it last longer than the other lipgloss which isn't sticky. No matter how many times I stray away from Mac lipglass, I always end up going back to them due to their high pigments and lasting power.

This lipglass is not as pigmented as you think it is after seeing it the tube. Its not a hassle for me coz i really wear this over a nude lippy or red lippy however if you wear it alone, its a little watery looking....but not in a bad looking way - if that makes sense. A great red to go with anything or to spike up any neutral makeup look. very striking!!

I traded my MAC empties for this gloss last time. Compared to the Russian Red lipstick, this is a bit more bright or orangey, which doesn't work quite as well on me as I'm very pale. I can only wear this with either a very sheer coat, over something darker or perhaps in a darker setting where it's muted a bit. It has great colour payoff for a gloss though, and opaque red glosses are hard to come by. It's a bit sticky but not as bad as other Lipglasses I've tried, and it's very moisturizing. It wears for an average amount of time for a thicker gloss (definitely longer than thinner, oilier glosses). I've never tried it with a lipliner but it defines the lips fairly well alone due to the high pigmentation. Overall, I like it for a red gloss and would recommend if you're looking for a slightly coolish red gloss, but I like the more true-red colour of the Russian Red lipstick a bit better for myself. I'll still use it up though and maybe even possibly buy again since it is the nicest red gloss I've come by so far.

This color is pretty, but that's it. It's not as pigmented as I expected. So I'm going to have to find a matching red lipstick to wear as a base, so it appears brighter. But I would consider repurchasing, perhaps next time with MAC Red Lipstick. Wish me luck! : )
