PROS: Doesn't weigh my fine hair down but smooths frizzies great. Wonderful when I use it on dry or almost dry hair. Very inexpensive.
CONS: I personally don't have any. It's definitely no-frills packaging; some may want nicer packaging.
APPLICATION TIPS: For me, the secret is using this on my ends when my hair is dry or almost dry. Also, using less than you would think you need is a good starting point.

Its an above average product. It definetely adds shine and smoothness to my dry hair but I think there are better products out there. But again you cant beat the price. Its something you can keep as a backup in your stash incase your HG product is not around. I wont buy again and look for better alternatives which works better in humidity as it totally failed the humidity test which is a priority for me.

This very wet when you first put it on (which it shouldn't be since it's a finishing cream) but once it dries it almost feels like I hairsprayed the split ends together to temporarily fix them and then put a teeny tiny bit of grease on top to finish it off lol.. My ends are pretty dry and my hair is very fine so it just makes a goopy, wet, tangly mess when I try to use it. Don't buy it. If you need a temporary fix for your split ends just put lotion on them. It works better than this stuff and you don't have to go out and buy something. I've had this for months and still haven't found a use for it. I'll probably just throw it out.

John Frieda has always been one of my favorite brands of hair product. The smell of this product is wonderful, it really adds shine, and takes away all of the frizzies. LOVE LOVE LOVE. very basic, but good value, good product.

I know it doesn't work for everyone, but it works for me. It smooths down the hair, and gets rid of frizzies or lumpy hair. Rub the cream in and comb, let it sit a moment, and it's great.
Works good on curly hair too, although probably not as well. I prefer using it after I've already straightened my hair. It's great for the next day, so I don't have to re straighten, but just put the cream in and comb.

I love this finishing creme! Whenever I don't feel like styling my hair and want to leave it natural this product is always what I reach for. I also use it when I do style my hair, because it smooths out the frizz and flyaways, and just overall makes your hair look smooth and polished. This holy grail product of mine really is my secret weapon!

This is a good product. It gives my hair shine on days it looks dull and I have no time to style it properly.
You only need a tiny drop to distribute on you hair.
The only con i see- it takes a long time to absorb into the hair.

This is mandatory in my hair routine. I've been using John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette version of this for a few years now, couldn't find it at CVS and figured this was pretty much the same so I picked it up. This is exactly what I want. It's not a thick frizz control cream that you put in your hair while it's wet (though you probably you try it that way). They make other products that do that. I use this product on my hair when it's dry and when I want it to look polished, get rid of flyaways, and help dry texture which can make it a little hard when trying to do my hair. I love that it give me no stiffness like a gel could and isn't dense like a pomade, so it runs nicely through my hair. It's exactly what it says it is- a finishing cream. No more, no less. I tend to use this more when I'm putting my hair up so it doesn't look as sloppy. This probably goes without saying, but use it sparingly so your hair doesn't get greasy with product buildup. I'd buy this over and over again!

This is pretty good at making my hair soft. But after a day, I noticed my hair was much more greasy. If you're going to use this, only apply it to the ends of your hair. It does put back the moisture in your hair after heat styling but thats about all it's good for. So if you use this, only apply it to the ends. Also only use it on straight hair. It will make curly hair very frizzy and the curls will fall out.

Did not like this product at all. It just left my hair feeling greasy and heavy. I didn't apply much either. Will not purchase this product again.

Less is more with this product! It works great on my ends, which are usually coarse and kind of unmanageable after straightening, but beware of putting it too close to your roots! I actually love the smell though! I don't think I will repurchase; I'm going to try something lighter next time that I can use throughout my hair, but for now, this works just fine. Just have to rake a small amount through, and resist using more because I really like the smell.

:( I actually didn't like this at all! It did not really help with the frizz at all! I was really quite upset! It might just be my hair though but wasn't impressed! :(

I have mixed feeling about this product. It does "...instantly transforms puffy, parched hair into a perfectly smooth, supple, shiny texture" BUT, after a couple hours my hair felt greasy and straw-like. Will not use this unless it's an emergency to give my hair a "quick fix". Overall, it's just one of those product you use on dry hair to tame frizz and add some shine.

This is pretty much just an average cream. It's not really special. My hair wasnt shinier or healthier. However, it was able to minimize frizz by just a tad bit. I dont care for the smell, but it's not worth your time especially for the price. $6, you can get something better at Sally's. It's not horrible, but i just dont think it's anything special.

This is my go to product after I style my hair with heating tools. I ONLY use this at the ends of my hair. I love the result I get because it makes frizzy dull ends after styling look healthier and nicer :) You only need a very veeeery tiny amount, slathering too much of this can make you look like a grease ball. When I first got this I applied it on the top of my head to tame the frizz and it made me look greasy :( So I use a different frizz tamer with less creaminess to it on my crown. This works wonders on the ends of my hair, I love John Frieda products :)

This is my absolute HG for hair finishing. My naturally curly, fine textured hair is very hard to control, (especially in my humid hometown climate) and this product is th best and most affordable I've come across. It's a daily part of my routine - without it, I look like a fraggle!
While not every product is universal, for anyone who fights with their curls, frizz or fine textured fly-aways, I highly reccommend trying this.

This product holds to its description in that just a dab is all you need. It's no miracle product, but it's perfect stashed inside your purse or used on ends of hair that's looking a little dry. The cream is very greasy, so it's important not to use too much and only on the driest areas, but it's good product if you're in a pinch.
