The best eyeshadow for green eyes, really beautiful longlasting.

The only MAC eye shadow I own. I absolutely adore this color! Such a wonderful earthy bronze/gold color. One of the longest wearing eye shadows I have, I think it last's longer than the ones from my UD Naked 2 palette. I don't know why I haven't bought more MAC eye shadows before, since I am really pleased with woodwinked. It's a great day or night color and the shimmer gives it a little extra something than just a boring neutral. It does last a long time, even though it looks small. I hit pan a few months ago and it's still going strong. I will definitely repurchase once I run out.

This is another one of MAC's famous ones and guess what: The hype is worth it.
Price: $16 CAD
Colour: true golden brown
Finish: metallic
Pigmentation: full
Texture: buttery
This is such a lovely colour. This looks totally gorgeous with Melon pigment in the centre and Antiqued in the crease!
It's a dupe for UD Half Baked, if that's any incentive

One of my top 5 favorite MAC eyeshadows. I don't have any other eyeshadow like it. It looks pretty good on my brown eyes. I would definitely recommend this eyeshadow.

My go-to everyday favorite eyeshadow. The color is absolutely gorgeous and it's super pigmented. It blends easily due to it being a veluxe pearl. I highly recommend this eyeshadow to anyone who has brown eyes as it really makes them stand out. I'll definitely be repurchasing when I run out!

Okay, being a total MAC snob since I was 15, I have heard all the raves about Woodwinked over and over and over again, but for some reason, I convinced myself I didn't need it, as it looked kind of boring in the pan, and I already own/have owned pretty much all of the bronzy gold MAC shadows, and both of the UD Naked palettes. I recently purchased Woodwinked on a whim, after the SA put some on me, and thought I should probably try this famous eyeshadow. I am so glad that I did. This is definitely one of MAC's best ones. I would describe it as a neutral, antique cold. Not too warm, not too cool, not too shimmery, not too bright. I like how Woodwinked is a Veluxe Pearl, so it's not too frosty and not too Matte, and the colour makes it perfect to use as a wash, or adding to basically any look to give a hint of gold shimmer without being too obvious, especially since it blends so well. I'm a C4/NC30-35 for reference, but I could imagine Woodwinked would work with any skin tone. Side note: I have brown eyes, but I could definitely see this working wonders for bringing out blue eyes! I can't think of any colouring that Woodwinked wouldn't be flattering on, give it a try!

This is my favorite MAC shadow! It applies and blends like a dream. The color is a muted gold, but not too shiny or glittery. It works perfect with just about anything. I can see this color staying in my makeup bag.

I typically don't wear eyeshadow. However, in the last 3 months, I have tried to be more daring and experimental with shadow and color on my eyes.
I've never been drawn to wheat, auburn, or brown shadows but lo and behold, mother time has caused me to rethink my look and color preferences.
I sat objectively and wondered what do I like on people that I work on? Neutrals of course. I headed over to MAC and asked for recommendations. Woodwinked and Sketch were what they thought would work best. The Woodwinked was a shimmer and a seaminly dull neutral in the pan. But on the eye? It seemd to lift and brighten at the same time. A shimmery tan/bronze with a peachy-orange undertone on the skin. Sounds odd but it is wonderful on the lid, as a mid-lid highlight, and on dark skin tones, it can be a highlighter. It is now my favorite neutral lid shadow when I want a simple, natural look. I never thought I would call a shimmer tone with a slightly golden hue "natural" looking. But against NC40/42 skin, Woodwinked works wonders.
It applies smoothly on my eyes and does not settle into fine lines. Definitely a winner. It looks good on many skin tones.

This, along with Sumptuous Olive and Club are my absolute favorite MAC shadows! This shadow looks more tannish brown in the pan, but on it's a gorgeous neutral gold with a beautiful shimmer. It's pretty enough to be worn alone on the lid with some mascara and/or liner. Love love love! It's also dark enough to be used in the crease with a more muted color on the lid such as Blanc Type, Brule or Shroom. It really plays up blue or grey eyes (I have grey), but I think it would still make brown, hazel or green eyes pop. Wholeheartedly recommend!

This looks rather a scary bronze colour in the pot but I find that if you prime your eyes, add foundation it comes out a really pretty shimmery and surprisingly colour which makes your eyes pop. I have blue eyes and it really brings out the blue but I think it would suit brown/green eyes beautifully too. I also love the name - not that it effects the shadow!

I mixed this with Tempting to tone down the orangey-ness of this color, with Vanilla on the brow bone, and it was a beautiful effect. Really nice complement to my green eyes. I applied the two shadows mixed together with a MAC 217, and a light swipe of the same under my eyes with a MAC 239. Then I use a clean MAC 224 to go over it all, and get a very soft, blended, professional look. Oh, and I very lightly lined with Smut, top and bottom, just enough to make my lashes look thicker.
I do worry about wearing anything with frost in it because I'm getting older and I don't want to emphasize the fact that the skin around my eyes is not as supple as it once was. But this shadow doesn't seem to be a problem where that is concerned. I think the frost is pretty and not too much for mature skin.

I do like woodwinked, but its not one of my most favourites that MAC have ever done. It looks like a really shimmery, golden brown in the pan but once applied to the face it seems totally different, less brown and a lot more bronze, even sometimes looking slightly orange around the edge. It might just be my skin tone, as I could see it looking better on darker skin tones. I usually have to use a base like a NYX jumbo pencil or Maybelline colour tattoos before it starts to look the shimmery brown it is meant to be. I do like it though, its really easy to blend and makes a great addition if you are going for a light daytime look or a dramatic smokey eye. I would possibly buy this again, but then again I'm not that fussed if I don't. I would recommend this for people who aren't snow white in complexion though, as this colour is very easy to pull orange with.

I bought this off of a recommendation from a friend. There was no mac store near me so I only could see the swatches online. It is a very pretty neutral brown but I was hoping it would be a little darker. It makes a nice shimmery transition color though! I do like it and it blends like a dream

Ah what can I say Woodwinked and I were made for each other. It's a beautiful warm bronzy gold on my NC35 skin. Its my go to color when doing bronzy smokey eye. Just makes the eyes stand out sooo much and looks great in pan and applied on eyes. Will def repurchase whenever I hit pan.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hasn't had luck with this shadow. It looks beautiful in the pan, but orange on my skin. Not flattering at all on my skin tone. I will not repurchase.

If woodwinked looked like how it does in the pan, it would be the most perfect gold shadow. But it doesn't. Now that's not a bad thing. I love this shadow. But it comes off orangey gold. It really does look great if you are tanned. All that glitters on the lid and woodwinked in the crease / woodwinked on the lid and freshwater on the lower lashline are my favorite ways to wear it

I wanted to love this shadow so bad but it just pulls WAY to orange on my NC25 skin. I can see how it would be beautiful on someone with tanner skin, but if you are fair like me then buy with caution.
The only way I can wear this shade is to layer it on top of another shadow, like cork or twinks... then I get the beautiful shimmer without the orange undertone.

This truly is a beautiful color. Super pigmented, easy to apply and blend, and gives that nice pearly finish. I would not suggest wearing this alone on the eyelid unless you are more tanned/darker skin. It can look kind of muddy and not that great on lighter skin if it's worn alone. But looks amazing paired with dark matte browns on the outer corner.
