This is absolutely stunning!
I was debating for a long time whether this eyeshadow would suit my skin tone and eye colour, and I am so glad I finally tried it out. It is a gorgeous coppery bronze colour on my medium brown eyes and makes them stand out in a very unique way.

I layered this over a subtle pink eyeshadow and the lined the upper lash line with Mac's Superslick Liquid Eyeliner in Nocturnal. Who knew it would look so beautiful?! But it truly did and my other half (who suggested this combo while he treated me to some Mac makeup - lucky me!) really couldn't stop looking at my eyes.

So ladies do try this with pinks and even accents of silver and you will look, truthfully, amazing. Thank you Mac for this gem!

This is one of very few MAC eyeshadows that I just don't like. I am not sure if it is just the texture of the shadow on my lid or that it is unflattering in combination with my skin tone but it actually makes my eyes look garish. I have brown eyes and would have thought this color would be complimentary to them but it is not. Of course, this is the exception as I stated - on the whole I love and use most of MAC's eyeshadows, especially the veluxe pearls.

The only way I like to wear this is as a transition shade out of a smokey eye... The texture, pigmentation and blendability are great, but I just think the color doesn't suit my fair skintone enough to give it more than 3 lippies. I have a couple pics on my blog of different ways to wear this eyeshadow. Check it out if you would like to get some ideas. www.eyeshadowaa.blogspot.com

Warning: this shadow is not for the faint of heart! It's very pigmented and applies smoothly & beautifully like all veluxe pearls. My NW35 skin "absorbs" most golden undertones and with this shadow it appears as a slightly burnished red no orangey-ness like how it does on the girl in the 1st picture. I actually love that and use just this all around the eye & pair it w/ lots of black gel liner on top lashes and waterline as well as lots and lots of mascara and it looks amazing, but definitely might not be everyone's cup of tea. I recommend you going in and trying it before you buy it.

This color is gorgeous and th color payoff is great. Unfortunately I have a hard time getting it to work on my cool toned skin.

Beautiful shadow that works great for my NC40 skin. Coppering is warm golden toned red copper with super pigmentation. I like using this shade for easy daytime looks or create a different spin on a smoky eye. Coppering works as a lid, v and crease shade for me. Very versatile and fun to use.

I like this color. It is flattering for my complexion. I can wear in the day time. Also, I can create a smoky look at night. Just by adding a dark brown shadow in the crease. Pretty color. It think it would work on all skin tones.

Great red-toned copper shadow. Very intense and pigmented. The only reason I stated that I would not purchase Coppering again is because I just don't reach for it all that much.

This a gorgeous coppery-orange colour! Has lovely golden undertones to it and would be great for an alternative to a smoky eye! :)

*** update***
this colour has indeed grown on me and i useit more and more. apply wet to get intense colour payoff or dry for subtle coloue.

ive had the ES for a few months, cant say im wild about it but I also cant say i dont like it. its a great colour to use on its own or together with browns. great autumn or summer colour depending on how its used i guess. it reminds me very much of creme colour base in Improper Copper of which I also have so perhaps thats why im not that wild over it. perhaps it will grow on me more when summer arrives.

This is a really pretty orangy/red with a frosty finish. It looks intense though so keep that in mind but will blend out pretty well. I love it but it has to be paired with the right highlights or can look a little odd. Definitely a keeper though.

This was one of my first MAC eyeshadows. I bought it probably 6 years ago and have barely used it. I have recently rekindled my love affair with eyeshadow and I have been trying to play around with this one. It's beautiful with green ( I used swimming) and I also used Club with it. I was trying to do a fall "changing leaves" sort of effect and it's really fun and pretty. This color looks great on all eye colors in my opinion, especially blue or green since it is a complimentary color to those. Especially green. This is a copper redish color but is also sort of pink. It blends beautifully and you barely need anything on the brush to get the color on your lids. It's buildable and of course you can wear it sparingly to just give a little hint of warmth to the eyes. I love MAC eyeshadows so much and I am glad I have this one. I would recommend it for sure. :)

one of my favourite MAC eyeshadows. this is a true, bright shimmery copper with really intense pigment.
i love this colour most as a crease colour, as it's a nice reddish pop of colour over a lid colour like Grain or Brule. i also love to wear this as a more work-friendly colour in the crease over a pearly grey lid colour, mixed in the crease with Texture to eliminate any pinkiness but to still keep the warmth. i feel that this colour warms up my face so nicely, and i feel that although this is shimmery, that doesn't take away from any of the colour performance (like Cranberry, in my opinion).
if warm colours suit you, you won't regret this purchase! a million raves and reviews just won't do this colour justice.

the only con; is that i have to reapply this to my crease atleast once a day, as it fades on me even with a primer. but i don't mind that because the colour is worth it.

Excellent colour for making blue or green eyes "pop." I use this colour over a soft brown when I want to tone it down a little during the day.

HG! This is one of my favorite eyeshadows, and my first MAC eyeshadow. It compliments blue eyes so well, it's insane!
Every time I wear this I get compliments on my eye colour and how the shadow makes them 'pop'.
It's really lovely, I would buy this again and again.
(Pale blue/grey eyes and NC15 for reference).

I seem to gravitate towards these red coppery colors. This color is great. The color payoff is amazing, very pigmented. I've worn it as a crease color with either Lucky Green, Steamy or Gleam on lid all of them go well with Coppering or Coppering on lid with a dark purple in crease there are a lot of color combos with this color. I ♥ this color. NW25 for referance

I bought it by mistake and at first I didn't know what to do with it. It seemed too red for an eye shadow... Reading reviews, I started using it at the inner side of the eyelid and then a brown at the outer and it looked nice. Normally I wear it in the middle, inner gold, then coppering then brown, or for a neutral look during the day, I put pink (mac swish) at the inner and the coppering. But I wouldn't use it alone.

Great eyeshadow for us gals with green eyes! This applies to the lid very smoothly and plays well with other colors as well. A little bit does go a long way, so I wouldn't recommend slathering your brush in it.

Some of the ways I like to wear Coppering ...
(for images of these looks, you may visit my website at www.myeyeshadowconsultant.com):

- Patina on lid, Sable in the crease, Coppering in the crease
- Vanilla as a wash, Antiqued and Coppering in crease
- Expensive pink on lid, Coppering in crease
- Mythology on lid, Coppering in crease, Sketch to outer v
- Bright Sunshine (or Goldmine) on inner lid, Off the Page (or Orange) in middle of lid, Coppering on outer lid blended into crease
- Coppering all over lid, Plum Dressing in crease, Black Tied to outer v
- Coppering on lid, Star Violet in crease ---> a bold, but stunning look for green and blue eyes!
