I have this and gentle lentil and this is by far superior.
- - -
Pros - like other users have mentioned this is a great metallic bronze brown shade stick. Long wearing and great pigmentation. Applies smoothly. It does however skip sometimes when applying across lid.
- - -
Cons - Dries out
- - -
Overall - I use this as a base sometimes to make other brown shadows pop. It definitely does the trick without becoming too thick. It does tug at eyes when it's first being applied but eventually it goes on smooth. Would not repurchase though because I've found bases I prefer over this.

Goes on smooth. I wear it as an eyeliner and it really makes my eyes pop. I like that the color isn't so dark so it can eadily be applied without being super precise. I am happy they brought this product back!

By far one of the best colors in the shadestick line. I believe these were d/c a while ago. These last forever, a great metallic basic brown, nothing too wow though.

Product - Creamy stick eyeshadow in "mid-tone pinky brown shimmer" but to me it's more of a shimmery bronzed wheat-taupe shade. I really don't see any pinky tones in this. Swatched on my hand it looks like a dirty brown penny but not quite as dark. On my AAB/NC25 lids, this is the perfect everyday neutral wash, just barely darker than my skintone and a hint of metallic sheen. Texture is smooth and creamy and easy to work with - it doesn't tug on delicate eyelids when applying. Pigmentation is very good. Staying power is excellent and hard to smudge once it sets.
Comparisons - Nearly a dupe of Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Marry Up; Taupographic has the teeniest bit more red undertone, and Marry Up is the teeniest bit more golden. MAC Shadestick in Gentle Lentil was similar though a shade darker. MAC Shadestick in Penny is slightly lighter and has more peach and copper tones.
Packaging - Fat automatic pencil type packaging where you twist the body to feed product up. Cap and casing are matte black plastic, with the last 1 cm on the butt end colored to represent the color inside.
Overall - Love this product. Taupographic is great for everyday work looks.

This produect applies very smoothly and it quite a nice shimmery taupe color. However, this doesn't wow me and i probably could get a similar color for half the price. it not worth the money at all for it's not a color that you haven't seen before. i would recommend looking into drugstore brands if you are looking for the same color.

I bought this on ebay for 6 bucks because i love the concept of shadesticks. this color was simply ok on me. nothing special. i do like how easily it glides...although i noticed other reviewers said the opposite. i guess it`s because mine is still new. give me a week or 2 and i might be complaining too. as a base it is alright i guess but nothing compared to sharkskin. won`t buy it again because it`s not that special. probably will use it up though.

This is a soft metallic taupe that has a silver shimmer to it. Tugs a little on application but goes on smoother once the product has warmed up. Looks super pretty on its own as a fool proof shadow, or can be used as a base for other shadows. Basic colour that works on most- but not something that screams “wow, must have now!” to me, as it is in no way unique or new in either concept or colour...a million other products by a million other brands means customers can afford to be picky! =D

My first shadestick and it left me a pretty good impression. The color is very buildable and it's soo pretty. Taupographic is a bronzy color that's got lots of shimmer in it. Like many people, i find this product in lack of creaminess. It tugs my eye lid when i try to apply it, but otherwise, i love it =]

oooh i love this shadestick! It's such a foolproof way of putting on eyeshadow. The consistency is silky, not sticky. I just color in my eyelid with this, roughly covering the area I want shaded. Then just smooth/blend out the edges with my finger. I then highlight the browbone with a whitish eyeshadow. I also use this as a base to deepen other eyeshadows. The color of this is a nice basic to have- shimmery brown.

The packaging quality for Shadestick is sooo bad! I dont remember dropping it but the lead in the holder is kind of loose now. Same thing happened to my Gentle Lentil. I prefer this color over Gentil Lentil... it's less harsh and more neutral. Some may find it too light and transparent but i generally use it to soften and smudge the edges of my kohls eyeliner, so that the line does not look to rigid. I liked the shadestick line because shadows in pencil form are so convenient to use.
This color works perfect with Technakohl Earthline/Plank.

This is my go-to product when I'm doing a very neutral face, or a classic face (dark liner, red lips) and don't want a bare-looking lid. I apply this to my lid, smudge my liner a bit into it, and it's a perfectly pretty neutral eye.
Also good as a base or crease shade for lighter colors.

Love it! I've been trying to pair down my makeup routine for hurried mornings and a heavy travel schedule. This is perfect for a quick eye - I apply it straight from the tube, rubbing the stick back and forth across my eye in the crease, and barely even need to blend because the color is subtle but just deep enough to define the eyes. The color is more brown than taupe but doesn't have a reddish undertone so I wear it with both warm and cool blush and lipstick shades, and it goes with any eyeliner. I don't see much shimmer once it's applied. I sometimes see a small crease later in the day but a quick pat with my finger takes care of it. Hint - make sure it clicks closed or it will dry out. A great makeup staple.

a medium-light beigy taupe if there's such a thing! lol. lighter than i expected but easy to apply and lasts all day. i couldn't use this as an eyeliner because it really is too light for that. would've liked this to be a little bit darker but it's a nice color to have when your in a rush. undecided yet if i'd repurchase.

this is my hg eyeliner/eyeshadow right now. it really brings out the green in my hazel eyes, and it's very creamy and pigmented. it lasts pretty well, although in new orleans in august nothing lasts forever.

I love this shadestick. It is my every day eyeshadow color. The color itself is lovely. It is a warm shimmery light taupey brown which can be worn sheerly as a wash or layered for a more opaque lid color. The shadestick itself glides on smoothly unlike some other shadestick, and blends seamlessly on my lid. There is no obvious line where the shadow stops and my lid ends, it basically looks airbrushed. You also get a good amount of product for your money. I've been using my shadestick about 4 times a week for months and I still have more than half left. Some people have a problem with shadesticks creasing, but I have never experienced that. Do check out this color the next time you are at your local MAC store or counter. My coloring: light yellow/olive MMM with dark brown hair and eyes.
