Great inexpensive opaque black polish. Applies nicely. Two coats is perfect. Would highly recommend this particular polish!

A great one coater. I mainly use this as a base for multichrome/holos and to do tape mani's. Its cheap for its normal $1.99 but they have fairly frequant 99 cent sales that i adore. Works for what i need it to and my nail chemestry agrees with this brand more than others so it stays well. I look forward to trying to stamp with it.

Everyone seems to love this polish so maybe I just got a horrible batch, because I found this polish to be absolutely dreadful. It's gooey, hard to apply, and really only looks good wet. Once it dries...ugh. I tried several shines over it, and even that didn't help.

I'd use it under glitter or crackle polish, but by itself? Never again.

Gorgeous, deep black, no tending to purple or grey. Went on smoothly, if a little thick, but did take a while to dry. I smudged it as it was drying, but the topcoat seemed to forgive a multitude of sins in that regard. I've had it on for 24 hours, and even after cleaning two bathrooms and doing a huge sink of dishes, it's still looking good, just a tiny bit of wear on the tips. Overall, a good value and a really decent product that's better for my grad student budget than my OPI obsession.

I love a good cheap nail polish. Don't you? This was dirt cheap, and I love it even better than my China Glaze Liquid Leather. Completely opaque in 2 coats and dried just as fast as any other polish. I had no bubbling trouble with it, and dried to a shiny finish. I can't say how long it lasts, but after four days it was still chip-free when I took it off.

As a former goth kid I guess I can consider myself a near expert on black nail polishes, this one from Sinful Colors was given to me in my Xmas stocking one year, and holds up really well as a black nail polish. Like any other sinful colors nail polish it was cheap (I know they're only about $2 a pop which I like) and it works just as well as OPI, it applies smoothly if you have a decently steady hand, unlike the crap polish they sell in hot topic. All around great polish, it's actually black instead of just a really dark shade of purple that sort of looks black, and applies opaque black in just one coat, though I usually do 2 anyway, it's a good staple to have in your collection

Truly surprised at how good this polish is. I used 2 coats, even though one is sufficient. This actually lasted a few days without chipping, which is literally unheard of with me. A great, cheap polish.

OMG!!! I needed a cheap black polish to put another polish over-I paid 99 cents for this polish.

This polish was as good as, if not better than, ANY polish I've EVER used. That includes, Dior, OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Chanel, Lippmann, etc., etc.

It went on smooth and glossy-GREAT formula-I could have used one coat, but I added a second just because I'm not good with polish brushes. It was glossy and shiny without a top coat!

No idea about wear, because it was on a plastic fingernail (which usually gives me trouble with other polishes).

Don't think just because it's inexpensive that it's cheap, because it's as high-quality as any polish out there.

I came here to say exactly what carbonmonoxide said. Why would I buy any other black polish?

FYI, in a pinch, if you need black glass plugs (for your lobes) and don't have them, you can use this polish to paint another color plugs to make them black. Works like a dream although I wouldn't put nail polish on the insertable area, only the front face. And like any crafty things, don't try it with something you couldn't bear losing if it went wrong. But it worked great for me.

This is the only black polish I will ever purchase. It's cheap, dries really fast, and is opaque in 1 coat.

Best black polish I've ever tried. Great, intense pigment and it wears well. Super shiny, especially with a good top coat and all you need is one coat. Dries crazy fast too! I love all of Sinful's colors. Would definitely purchase again and for only $2 at Target I'd be crazy not to!

Simply gorgeous. With just one coat it looks shiny and perfect. It dries pretty fast too, and with the right topcoat it lasts days.
I've been wearing black nail polish for years, and this is simply the best one of all the ones I've tried. Plus, it's cheap and the packaging is alright. The only bad thing I can think about is that it's not that easy to find here where I live.

I love it i did find that it will get thick if you leave the cap off for too long. I'm not much of a back nail polish person but i do use it for my nail art .... so far so good.

Very thick, and gloopy, and extremely hard to use. I paid 4.50 Canadian, which is very pricy. This nail polish took me 4 coats to get it opaque, and is really leathery when dried. I won't purchase from this brand again. What's worse is that it kind of stained my nails a bit. Def not buying this ever again.

[edit] I tried this nail polish again, but I used a base coat which helps nail color to adhere to your nail better, and it helped quite a bit, it sticked so much better to my nails, and this time I needed only 2 coats to get it fully opaque. It still was leathery, but a top coat helped that.

Requires one coat and this is PERFECT. So cheap, my go-to black nail polish. These dry ridiculously fast too!

Best black ever. Applies in one stroke. You only need one coat of it. Very very black-no hints of gray or brown, can be embellished with other colors, dries quickly, and the brush applies well. The only problem is that it lacks the little metal balls in it so that it is mixed up properly.

this is one of my favorites for everyday wear. It's a nice, opaque black, only takes a coat or two and you're done. Black is one of those colors that is hard to find like this, for me anyway. It seems that a lot of the time they're really sheer and it takes forever to get the right layers, plus, it's super cheap. :)

Great 1-coat opaque, smooth black; however, cannot function as a layering polish because it chips off within a day or two. The Sinful cap/brush is very slippery and not terribly ergonomic, making fine brushstrokes a little difficult at times. Sinful polishes also lack "balls" to help the polish mix when shaken. 2/US$3 on sale @ Walgreens.

I wear dark and black-based polishes a lot and this particular brand and color performs as well as any brand I've tried (Orly, OPI, China Glaze, Rimmel, etc.) This is a true black and covers in one coat, for real (barring application mishaps). I buy this over and over again because it never disappoints. If you want black, you got it. For, like, around two whole dollars. Add a decent topcoat and the stuff wears like iron. Even without a topcoat, the finish is deep, true black, and shinier than most. Can't beat it.
