This product was very drying on my skin. I liked the smell and I think this is a good product, but for myself I think it is not for me.
I found a liquid black soap alternative that contains shea that works much better for my skin and also allows me to use it to shave.
I would use Dr. Bonners in the future, but probably as a cleaning product and not a personal toiletry item.

I use this as a shampoo, and my hair has never been healthier. I use maybe a couple teaspoons diluted with lots of water, and just pour it on my head, and then scrub. I have fine and thin hair that I almost never use heat on, and this cleans my hair well without leaving residue or weighing my hair down. Would definitely recommend for similar hair types.

I love this product. My husband and I both use it as a body wash and it works perfectly for that purpose ( I swear it also helped reduce body acne as well).

I have been using this stuff more often than my regular bodywash. I love the warm scent of the almond. A little goes a long way with this stuff and it suds up really nicely. I use a just a little squirt on my loofa and its super suds. It cleans my skin nicely and doesnt leave it dry when I dry off.
I've used it as a shampoo in a pinch but it has a tendency to strip the hair yet leaves it super clean. I normally add a light conditioner to my hair starting at the base of the head and it makes it easier for combing.
This stuff has other uses such as cleaning which I havent tried yet. I do love it makes my skin clean and soft. I cant wait to try out the Rose next.

I just started using Dr. Bronner's Almond Castille Soap, and I wish I had known about it a long time ago!
I chose to go with the Almond one because Almond oil has great skin benefits.
Since I heard you should dilute it... I had an empty Dial foaming soap dispenser, and I poured just enough soap in, (about 2 squirts,) to cover the bottom. Then I topped it up with bottled water. It works amazingly perfect! It foams up even better than the dial soap did.
I tried it as a shampoo, since I read a review that it faded someones color - and that is exactly what I want to do... fade out my ends which turned black from hair dye. I love it as a shampoo personally :D I also didn't experience any tangles because I worked it into my hair very gently.
This product is going to last so long, and I'm going to be saving money and being better for my health. I'm so happy!!! (I also heard people use this soap to make natural household cleaning products, and I can't wait to try that either.)

Love, love, love. Users of dr bronners for 10 years here, and almond is the best scent for showering, self and husband agree. Smell is intoxicating to me.

I love this stuff!!!!! It smells like the original Jergens lotion. For people that say it is too drying---you need to dilute it. I know some people say it doesn't require diluting but it really does. I had a few chest and back blemishes and clogged pores from coming off bcp and tried all kinds of creams, cleansers, and natural methods to clear them. Dr. Bronner's soap has cleared up my back and chest like nothing else!

I had a bottle of this for ages purely because I loved the almond scent. I used it for everything (including laundry which did not work at all). I wasn't aware that you had to dilute this which is probably why I thought it was too harsh. I finished off the bottle by using it as hand soap, but it did dry my skin. I would definitely purchase another bottle but at least I know to dilute it now!

I thought I would like this scent but it has a really sickening after smell. I wouldn't buy it again.
EDIT: Ok to be fair, that review was because I cleaned my mason pearson brush with that and the rubber scent mixed with almond was bad. But alone, it's actually really good. Changing review to 5 stars.

I absolutly LOVE this stuff. I have a tons of problems with my sensitive skin. This fits the bill. I cant use anything synthetic. Everything causes break outs and rashes from head to toe. This soap was a god send. I found that if I dont use the citrus conditoning rise that my hair will be a goopy mess. My skin is soft with no rash or break outs. When used diluted as shampoo then followed with the conditioner diluted down that they sell my hair is fan freaking taskic. It saves me time and money because I use 1 product head to toe. With the exception of the citrus conditioner. If you use properly this stuff is wonderful. Now if not diluted like they suggest then I can see why people might not like it. So dilute dilute dilute. I always keep it prediluted in a small bottle in the shower for my hair. Then i use a few tiny drops on my Clarisonc brush on my face. Then a few tiny drops on a bath puff to wash my body. If I need to shave I use a few drops in my hand then lather on where I need to shave. Remember to use the citrus conditioner thay make to rinse out the soap from hair or your hair will seem a goopy mess. Some how the conditioner cuts the soap out to make hair soft and shiney.

Just about the best true soap you can buy. Economical. Remember to dilute, dilute and dilute. Will purchase Dr. B's again and again. I will never go back to SLS based soaps again.

I bought a 32 oz container of this stuff more than 3 months ago ($13, Vitacost), and I just recently ran out (and it was being used by both my boyfriend and me twice a day each in the shower). Don't let the runny consistency fool you, a little goes a LONG way, and it lathers like a dream. The scent is delicious - probably the best smelling soap I've ever used. Even my boyfriend is obsessed with this stuff, and he has very sensitive skin. I'm not sure how effective this would be as a household cleaning agent, but as a body wash, I highly recommend it!

So far I've only used this to clean my makeup brushes, and it worked splendidly. The smell is pleasant. I'd buy again.

I so wanted to like this line because of the total lack of chemicals.
However I think it's a horrible house cleaner (and I only clean with homemade products like olive oil soap, vinegar and soda). I only use it to clean the tile floor in the kitchen. And I don't think it does a great job, too!
I also find it very drying as a handsoap, even dilluted.
I think I'm going to use it a shampoo on my boy's hair and as body shower because I always moisturize afterwards anyway

This is the most versatile product ever. I went to clean my make up brushes today and ran out of my Sephoria brush cleanser, so I used my Castille instead. What a fabulous job it did cleaning my brushes. It works better than the regular cleansers or sprays. The all rinsed nicely and their shape remained the same. It's crazy that I can use this as a house cleaner or as a body wash. I love the almond sent, although it doesn't linger to long. I found that Castilles removes unwanted spray tan on those places where no one wants it.... Like your ankles and in between my fingers. It leaves my hands so soft, even after long exposure. This is a staple in my cleaning routine.

I'm kind of a soap freak. I usually have an entire drawer full of soaps at any one time. I keep around seven bars in my bath, one for each day of the week. I've used soaps made from all kinds of animal milks, fruit, veg and nut oils. I've ordered soaps from other countries and paid more for shipping than for the soap, just to try something different. I've collected soaps from my various travels. I've used soaps of all colors, shapes and scents. Yes, I am a self-proclaimed soap-a-holic. My favorite soap of all time was an obscure soap made by a Mormon company in Utah called Stevens soap. It was really, really amazing and I had friends send me dozens of the bars, even after I'd moved away. They discontinued it (boo) and since then I've been in search of a new favorite soap. After all the hundreds of bar soaps I've used I think I've finally found my holy grail of soap. It's this one! I especially love sweet smelling, creamy, moisturizing soaps that have quirky packaging and this one fits the bill to a tee. I couldn't ask for more in a soap. Perfection!

LOVE this liquid soap for showering. I use it w/a bath brush & it lathers up beautifully. (I got sick of bar soaps that wouldn't lather in hard NYC water & left a sticky tight-feeling residue on my skin.)
I have used this in Citrus but the scent was a bit off to me. I like Peppermint a great deal better but don't always want to feel freezing cold after a shower (good for a cool-off in the hot summer!), so as a non-cooling alternative I purchased Almond. LOVE the smooth creamy scent. Was hard to choose between this and Lavender but Almond won out. Next time I may buy Lavender, as my mom loves the relaxing scent of lavender.
I love that these soap products are organic, pure, fair trade, very reasonably priced, readily available in healthfood stores & now even in drugstores, & most of all I never have the feeling of scummy residue on my skin after showering. These soaps leave me feeling fresh & clean.
