This product needs to come back to costco... It works well, leaves your hair feeling fresh and clean. The scent lingers for a while afterwards too and is very calming.

Awesome shampoo at a bargain price

I am on a mission to find the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair. I tried the dove conditioner hoping it would moisturize my thick wavy hair. Although it did leave my hair moisturized and seemingy healthy, it isnt amazing. I would buy it again, but it isnt perfect

This product exceeds its price. The shampoo makes my hair very soft and that doesn't usually happen until the conditioner is put on after. I love love love Dove. I just wish it didn't have Sulfate in it.

After falling in love with Dove's Grapefruit Conditioner, I purchased this shampoo to go with it. This came in the new white pyramid bottles with the very flimsy lid. The first two times that I used it I was thrilled, but then the itching set in. As of right now, I am not sure whether it's the shampoo or the conditioner that is causing the itch. And my hair color faded quite a bit, so frustrating. I'll try to use it every now and then, but won't be repurchasing. Update 4/04/11: Scalp itching, shampoo now in trash can.

I've tried a lot of shampoos ranging from the cheapest drugstore brands to salon brands. This is my everyday shampoo. My hair is always chemically treated (with perms...the Asian kind and not the 80s kind) and so even though I have oily hair, I need the extra moisture for my fried hair. It can be a bit heavy if I use it everyday (and I usually have 3 shampoos in my shower that I switch between), but for the price, this one is the one that is always in my shower.

I agree with Kathy, Dove is my favourite and works best on my hair while I found Pantene-Pro V to be aweful..and I gave it so many tries.
Dove really leaves my hair nicely moisturized (it's very fine and gets dry easily), without too much let in it to weigh it down, and the smell is the best. I like Garnier Fructis too but I really can't stand their smells (I hate the fruity stuff).

It wasn't the worst shampoo I ever tried but it doesn't seem good. The first day it was nice, then I tried it again and I don't know if it was from combing my hair to much after or what but it got really poofy and gross. It did leave me hair soft, but it DID NOT get out the tangles (I have shampoo/cond in 1). My hair was soft but there were still knots. My hair is long/wavy/thick by the way. It does smell really nice though.

This is my HG shampoo!

I love DOVE. I switch between Dove's Moisturizing Shampoo and Condition with my higher-end Nexus Shampoo.

Unlike terrible Pantene Pro V - Dove actually does condition your hair and makes it lively, soft.. the product never weighs down my hair (as Pantene does, leaving white flakes). Dove also detangles my usually problematic long hair and makes it easy to comb through.

Great price, but is always sold out at ULTA when I'm there. I just buy in bulk at Costco.

One day i decided to add mousse to my hair... So at night i decide to wash my hair with this shampoo. I scrubbed and cleaned my hair fairly well, but the following morning my hair still smelled of the mousse. Don't get them wrong, it does make your hair shiny and healthy looking, but no way does it get it clean. Now I only trust dove products to moisturize.

I loved this shampoo at first. My hair felt clean, soft, smooth, smelled great, and was fairly easy to style. As I started getting close to the end of the bottle, I realized how much I hate this. The 1/4 moisturizer Dove raves about builds up in your hair and weighs it down so much it wouldn't hold any kind of style. My hair always felt heavy and greasy, it lost it's shine, and felt discusting. Dry and greasy. I stopped using it a while ago and switched back to an old HG L'Oreal Vive Hydra Gloss, and my hair still doesn't feel as good as it used to. Would I buy this again? No. I'm slowly learning Dove products are all turning out to be horrible.

I like the smell of this shampoo and it lathers up nicely, but it left my hair frizzy and the color looked dull. I also ended up with acne on my scalp after using it several times. I would definitely not purchase it again.

After having my second baby, the hormones in my body had changed and affected my hair a lot. It became dry and brittle and hard to manage...such a difference from my usually healthy hair. I wanted my old hair back and tried all sorts of salon brands and drugstore brands...Pantene used to work so well for me and that didn't help either. I finally gave up after a couple years of trying until I saw this Dove Shampoo and conditioner on sale at Costco for 1litre, only $4.97 CDN, and decided to buy it since it was cheap. I noticed a difference after the first time and by the second and third time, I was hooked!!! It restored softness to my hair...it feels so silky and added shine back to my hair! It is so much better and I am so relieved to find this shampoo and conditioner and it's sooo cheap, what a great buy!!!

I bought one of those 40 oz shampoos from Costco - didn't cost much for the size, about $8. The shampoo makes my hair feel really soft and somewhat smooth. There's just one problem ... It makes my already fine hair finer, causing it to break easily and fall out =|
The scent is fine, typical Dove scent, but I would never buy this again ... It makes my hair so thin!

I love this, the matching conditioner, and the leave in spray. As a matter of fact, this is the best drugstore product I have ever used and I've used most of them. I've also had the luxury of trying many salon brands. I'd say this rivals Redken for me which is my favorite salon brand, for a few reasons. I love the fresh scent this has, the cost is pennies compared to Redken, and this delivers every time with no buildup. I used to use the light blue cap Dove which I think they discontinued and I tried some of the other ones. The only one I really liked was the yellow bottle citrus one but this one is so much better. And the spray leave-in has saved my long, curly, yet fine hair. I used it after a shower, on dry hair, and just to refresh it. Wonderful stuff. I gave it a 4 on packaging only because it might be nice if I could get it in giant size and with a pump. I don't plan on trying anything else now. I'm finally happy with a hair product!

This is the only shampoo and conditioner that works for my hair. I have fine and a lot of times frizzy hair and for the first time ever, my hair looks good every day and it's so shiny and smooth. Does not give my hair volume, but I don't care because I can finally run my fingers through it. I've used a whole bottle already, back to the store to buy some more.

This is terrible. It's not moisturizing at all, it dried out my hair, even with a small amount. I didn't want to let the last bit go to waste, so I used it as bodywash. I won't repurchase, and I am sure not to try other Dove haircare products again.

I love Dove! They make great products and I love how their goal is to make every woman feel beautiful. This shampoo is thick and gives a nice lather. The smell is very uplifting, and I'm not even using the "Energize" one. I'm taking one lippie off because After going through 3/4 of the bottle I started to notice my skin flaking a little. I'm not sure if it's because of the shampoo or what, but I'm going to change shampoos for a while and see if it helps.

Worst shampoo ever. Really dried out my naturally shiny hair.
I would never buy it again in my life.
