This has a really nice fragrance and it seems to be non-drying. I like that. It doesn't lather though and takes a lot of product to get any real suds. I think the argan oil is why it has such trouble lathering. It does not leave my hair clean feeling and it feels like it needs to be rinsed yet the water runs clear. I have only used this about 6 times because I just don't like it and gave it to my husband to finish up. He must like it as he has nearly finished the whole bottle. I went back to the Garnier Pure & Clean 2 in 1 instead. I think my hair is simply too fine for this product, but I'm sure it works wonders for someone else. I wanted it to be me.

This gave me horrible acne... it took 2 months to get my skin back to normal with extra strong PRESCRIBED acne cleanser..... It made my hair greasy on the top and dry at the ends :(

if i could, i'd give this product a -4......

This is the best shampoo I have ever found, and I'm stocking up on the big bottles against the inevitable day this gets discontinued. I have really long hair, past my butt, and I only wash it once or twice a week. With this plus Herbal Essences conditioner (forgot the name - orange bottle, anti-frizz?) I have no more tangles. Ever. It's freaking awesome.

It clearly doesn't work this well for everybody, based on all these unimpressed reviews, but boy do I love it.

I don't have olily hair at all, i would say its mostly dry but once i used this shampoo with its conditioner as well my hair became greasy in a matter of hours. my hair looked disgusting and literally looked like a cow licked my head, would not recommend this shampoo or any of the sleek and shine products since they seem to make hair really oily and shiny and thats coming from a person with dry hair. try something else.

I stopped using this product back in 2007 and forgot why. I was in the market for some new shampoo and the smell of this made my buy it again. I quickly remembered why I stopped using it when I noticed I was losing way more hair in the shower than usual. I know people lose hair and I often shed when I am stressed but this was way more than usual. Once I stopped using this product and switched back to my usual shampoo my hair immediately stopped falling out. It smells great but that's about the only thing. I will definitely not repurchase again!

I am sure that for some people Garnier shampoos and conditioners are great. I am not one of those people. I extremely dislike this brand. It makes my hair greasy faster than most. It makes my head really itchy with extended use. I want to like it because it is better for the earth and no harsh stuff, but it just makes my hair bleach. I have tried it two different times and both were not successful. Also, the smell is bad. Too fruity and floral. Doesn't smell like clean hair. I do like the Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner. It is good to use when comming in from the ocean and hair is dry. Smell is still not desirable.

Eh. I don't buy into the hype these days about argan oil. It seems like a ton of companies are now including this ingredient in their products. How?? This so called sacred tree only produces x amount of oil per year...and there are only so many trees...that only grow in Morocco. Josie Maran is the first on the block to create her products with argan oil, and she sells hundreds of products. I dunno. Back to this shampoo....

Made my hair really really tangly in the shower. Which was sooo weird because I *thought* when something is labeled "sleek and smooth" it should do just that. When I rinsed it dry, my hair felt squeaky..like I washed it with detergent...I followed with conditioner but avoided my roots and when I went to blowdry, my roots felt damaged and dry.

Sorry Garnier, the only thing good about this shampoo is the fragrance...it was refreshing to smell something other than the dreaded signature fructis smell.

I've always had problems with frizziness in my hair. After using this product for 3-4 weeks, I've noticed a significant decrease in frizzies. I wash my hair every other day and the sleekiness of my hair really does last until I wash my hair again. The product claims it can last 3 days, but I have not tested this length.

As for shine, I wouldn't say this is the best product for that. I don't notice a huge difference in shininess in my hair. Combining this with a product like Moroccan oil would give you REALLY nice results though. And considering how affordable this product is, I think you get a lot of bang for you buck.

Also, this shampoo smells SOOOOOOO good. It's a refreshing fruity scent that leans sort of towards green apple, though not quite. Even better than I remember from other Garnier products I've tried in the past.

OK, so I am a BzzAgent, and I received samples of this product to test out...I am pleased to say that Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo and conditioner are fantastic products for their pricepoint. After using these products for a few weeks, I have noticed that my hair is extremely well-nourished, and I have little-to-no frizz issues at all.In the past, I have been a fan of the Living Proof no frizz line, but with its hefty pricetag, those are not products that are easy to budget in every month. Sleek & Shine works just as well as the Living Proof; in fact, the Sleek & Shine is much more conditioning and has a better scent as well. The only issue that I have is that I prefer to wash my fine, brittle hair once every three days, but the super-conditioning nature of this product means that hair tends to look a little greasy the evening of day 2 (it still, however, has no frizz!). All in all, Sleek & Shine is a great product, and it will be replacing Living Proof in my shower from now on.

Great product! if you don't see results you did not let is sit long enough, let it sit for about 2 mins after scrubbing into your hair with water. then wash out. and i would also recommend also using the sleek and shine conditioner afterwards. also let that sit but not for too long because it could turn your hair greasy when it dries. dry with a blowdryer and use your heat protectant of choice and style accordingly.

I got this as part of a buzz kit and I just thought it was okay but I didn't think it was anything remarkable in any way. My hair gets alittle frizzy and I saw no difference in the condition of my hair but it does smell nice to me.

I used this product for several weeks and liked it well enough at first. Unfortunately it builds up on your hair (like a waxy coating) and makes it even more unmanageable.

I loved this in middle school, it left my hair soft and light and smoothed. But when I started bleaching my hair, this didn't give it the moisture it needed. I would recommend this for virgin hair, or hair that doesn't need a lot of moisture, but not for colored hair.

This shampoo was not for me. I have very dry and processed hair, and one of my friends suggested this line to me. The first time I used it in the shower, my hair felt hard and was even more tangled than it had been at the start. It took ages for me to feel like I had washed it out completely, and even then, my hair just looked terrible. I tried using it for about three weeks before I had to give up. If possible, I think it make my hair frizzier than before. I'm sure it works for some people, not not for me.

Ick. I have no idea how a shampoo could possibly leave my hair feeling slimey but this one does. So gross. I don't know if I gave the rest away or threw it out but I refused to finish the bottle. I'd rather have a cleansing shampoo and make my conditioner and styling products do the defrizzing, thank you very much. ICK.

Like another reviewer said, I also used to use this shampoo/conditioner for years & never realized what it was really doing to my hair. It made the condition & texture of my hair terrible. I had lots of breakage & hair fall out in the shower. This shampoo/conditioner actually made my hair frizzier and more damaged than my hair really is. My hair was unmanageable & dull from using this. What really made me realize how bad this was for my hair, was when I decided to change my shampoo/conditioner & I was stunned. My hair made a total transformation just from stopping use of this shampoo/conditioner. There's nothing about this that made my hair sleek or shiny. I still have pretty full bottles of this left in my cabinet, & it's been at least 4 years since i've used this. I also want to add, it smells okay in the shower, but after your hair dries it leaves a bad after smell. I don't know how to describe it, but it smells nasty. I don't reccommend. It will ruin your hair if used long term. & the bottles are kind of a pain to open in the shower.
