It does more than the average toner, it's a bit more than mild/gentle. It does cut through all the dirt/grime/oil but it will not cut through all the make up.
It is relatively cheap and it didn't irritate my skin at all. It actually soothed and cleaned my skin.

Um, I don't know why other reviews complain of stinging or inflammatory reactions, but this was not the case with me. I guess it depends on each skin type. My advice is don't completely rule this out...you won't know how good or bad it is unless you try it for yourself.
I really love this toner to bits which is why I gave such advice. You may find that you adore it too. The smell is botanical and pleasant, the toning lotion itself is very very gentle and soft on the skin. You also get a fair amount so it will last you a long time. My no. 1 fave about this is that there it is alcohol-free so it doesn't dry the skin out. I have never had problems with this and for that reason I can imagine myself buying this over and over again. It has proved to be a nifty reliable ol' thing. Works for me even when I have bad acne - that proves how gentle it is. Love.

I purchased this at TJ Maxx for about $3, and it is wonderful. I love how soft it leaves my skin, and it removes everything very gently. Very pretty soft rose scent. I would repurchase if I saw it again and ran out. Doesnt leave my skin tight, but does leave it feeling very refreshed and cleanse.

I love gentle toners so i was bound to pick this one up. While it features rosewater and chamomile and alcohol free, to be completely honest, i find this exactly the same as using plain rosewater. Given that, I think I would much prefer to use rose water when I take a look at the strong list of chemical names even though Natio does try to boast about it's natural ingredients. I'm not anti chemicals. bring it lol I'm just an avid believer that any company that emphasizes on "natural" should have an ingredient list that doesn't require a chemical dictionary.
So while I thought $8 was cheap for a nice sized bottle, $2 is even cheaper for 3x the amount at my local spice market.

I bought this as an experiment to see if I could wean myself away from my Clinique Moisture Clarifying Lotion. I like the sound of Natio as it's all Aussie, all natural products, but first time I used this toner, it stung a lot and my skin went red. My skin is usually a little dry, and I put that down to the salicylic acid in my face wash and perhaps the lack of moisture in my moisturiser...I this toner for about a week, hoping that my skin would get used to it, and while the redness did not occur, I found I broke out. I think I'll reopen this when my skin gets a little older and the blemishes subside and I start needing a gentler toner.

I saw all the good comments on here and decided to get this. This toner is really effective at taking off any residue on my face and the rose fragrance it has is very nice. I also thought this was very good value for money considering how much you get for the price - so I can use it quite liberally^-^ It doesn't seem to help or harm my existing acne. What I don't like, though, is despite its "gentle" label, this makes my skin sting/tingle very mildly. It doesn't bother me too much but I would advise anyone with really sensitive skin to use with caution.

Have had this toner for about a year or so. Just ran out of my clinique clarifying moisturising lotion (no.2) so I needed a substitute until my strawberrynet package arrives!
I put this one my face and immediately it went bright red around the t-zone. My skin felt like it was on fire, and normally I don't react to many products.
I found it quite odd because generally I do like natio products!

I love Natio because their products all smell heavenly and the ingredients are generally quite gentle. This is no exception. Honestly, it's hard to find a really bad toner since it's such a simple product. This isn't too pricey and you get a reasonable size bottle, so it works great for me.

I have a fondness for NATIO products for their quality. This toner did not let me down as well. I like it that it is alcohol free & takes away any MU residue. An overall good product~

I've been using this for more than a year now. As the name suggests, it's very gentle (and quite refreshing - especially in summer). But that's about it - unfortunately it didn't do any miracles or wonders to my skin.

This is a particularly good toner for mature skin (30s and over) and is very reasonably priced.Natio describes it as a gentle, alcohol-free, plant-based lotion containing rosewater and chamomile to smooth and firm and a blend of natural essential oils to help purify and tighten pores. It promises to improve the skin's 'breathing' process and balance the skin's natural moisture level. As well as being used as a toner it can be splashed on 'to refresh your face at any time of the day'.Well, I'd rather use a spray to refresh my face and I use this as a toner only, after I've removed my makeup in the evening. Does it smooth and firm? If 'smooth' means it removes every last trace of makeup, yes, it does. No, I can't say it firms my skin. My pores stay more or less the same but they're not a problem area for me anyway. I'm sure my skin 'breathes' after use because there's no gunk on my face! And it certainly makes my skin feel dewy and moist. There's no doubt that this is a lovely product. Its scent is divine. I can't think of a nicer toner, frankly, and I'm quite happy to forgive it for not performing all the miracles promised!
