This fragrance falls into the same cateogry as Coco by Chanel (the original Coco, not Coco Mdemoiselle) - a warm spicy-woody Oriental, perfect for cold winter nights.

Just to start with. The first time I wore this fragrance in the office I got two compliments in the first 15 minutes. The reaction to this fragrance by individuals around me were absolutely astounding.


Sheliane is considered to be a spicy oriental but it is not oriental in the classic sense (meaning overpowering, strong and something one has to be careful with). While it is spicy and the notes will reflect this, due to the added note of Lemon and Orange the fragrance remains fresh and is not at all cloying. I find myself enjoying this from the first spritz until I get home at the end of the day. The lasting power is amazing and makes the fragrance a steal for that price point.


While the notes listed can be intimidating for some, especially those not use to orientals, they are so very well blended that the fragrance works smooth and delivers the right punch of liveliness and youth. Some orientals when badly formulated (Guerlian has a few by the way ) can make one appear ten years older or rather gives off the smell of near approaching death. Sheliane is not too much but just the right amount of spice and flare to make this scent a perfect oriental which is office/career proof.
