I really like this foundation. The texture is a bit thick, but feels light on my face. It provides nice coverage and glides over my dry spots nicely. By the middle of the day, my face can start to look a little shiny with this foundation. However, all I need to do is apply a little translucent powder and i'm good to go.

I really wanted to like this product because it was my first time with liquid foundation. I bought this because Lorac had this foundation on sale for 10 bucks..thought I should try..and it made my skin breakout =/ theres no spf..so bummer. not oil free.Doesn't stay on the whole day..so a bit disappointed..wouldn't buy again. I bought M4..color was a bit too light for me..usually an nc30 in MAC.guess varies on skin types. wouldn't buy again

This foundation is great for me. It has been my foundation (for the past 6 months) - After Tarte Smooth Operator let me down on my second tube of Facade - it was darker and with skin as fair as mine even a little tiny bit more pigment is too much. Anyway...LORAC satin makeup proved to be a saving grace. It has a light skin-like texture that works well with my soon to be 40 skin. No irritation, in fact it seems soothing to my Rosacea. The lightest shade, M1 is a nice yellow-based very fair shade that is light enough even for me. I apply it by dipping a clean q-tip once in the otherwise unsanitary bottle and dotting it on then blending with a foundation brush. The packaging and lack of sunscreen are not great - but it is such a great shade and texture for me. As others have mentioned it is sheer but can be layered or used to tint a moisturizer for a very sheer effect. I use it usually as a TM followed by Aromaleigh Glissade for the SPF – the two products give me a nice polished but still natural look. NOTE: I think LORAC has discontinued this foundation. But I see the replacement has a good SPF. It's called LORAC Breakthrough Performance. I guess I'll try it if I'm unable to get more of the Satin.

This is a very nice smooth sheer makeup. The color range is excellent for fair to medium tones. I liked the fact that this is supposed to be soothing for the skin, doesn't clog my pores, and when my skin is completely clear, makes me look even more flawless. I bought m5, even though I would have preferred m4, but they were sold out of that color. Still, b/c it's a sheer makeup m5 still looks very good. What i like about these colors are that they are more yellow toned than many of the foundations out there. I would like Lorac to come out w/ a foundation with moderate to full coverage in the same color scheme. Even though this doesn't have SPF, i like that so that when i'm photographed, it doesn't flash white, plus I'm religious about wearing a good sunscreen underneath anyway.

Not sure if everyone knows, but there are 2 sections for the Satin makeup, so you might want to check out both for all the reviews. I have tried the oil-free foundation, loved the shade selection/ matte finish, hated the coverage. Had to try the satin too. As others have mentioned - good PPP color, terrible packaging (wide-mouth bottle). It's so thick that it seems like it should be creamy, but it's not. Very thin and sheer. It smoothed on nicer than the oil-free, but still had rough spots and sat on top of skin without sinking in. My skin is too red/ freckled/ blotchy to pull off such sheer makeup. I mix it with light face cream for "no makeup" days. Then it sinks in and makes me look glowy and rested, but all my imperfections still show. Once it's gone, I won't repurchase. I love the color, though. It never ever turns orange or changes color, so the lippies are for that.

I'm an oily skin gal that purchased this b/c of a SA recommendation. Not bad. I can't wear it in the summer when it's more hot and humid. In the winter I wear it over an oil control powder. I love the texture and it gives me a velvet look that is nice. Would not repurchase since I have to blot but I don't look oily more of a sheen.

Absolutely Perfect ! I love the consistency and texture. I have tried almost all the major brands, but there's nothing like this. The best part is you can dilute it with water for sheer coverage.( none of the other foundations allow you to do that) they turn oily and look ashy if you add water.

A great base. It's very sheer but still able to conceal any redness or uneveness. It doesn't look like makeup at all. I've found it to just give the look of perfect skin. I'm using this in M3 and have finally found my HG foundation. Perfect color match.

This is nicely moisturizing and leaves a satin finish, hence the name. Coverage is light to medium depending on how you apply. Colors are pretty good but limited. No fragrance but does contain chamomile if you're sensitive. I am only giving this 4 because it still left a slight powdery finish on my N/D skin and was noticeable on my skin as far as texture, if fact stayed a slight bit tacky so I don't think I'd buy this again. For my skin there are better options.

I like the way this looks so dewy soft and satiny on. It feels smooth and creamy and I was especially drawn to it because it's made for sensitive skin. I love to use it with the L1 Luminizer. This is not something I would use if I want to have more of a matte finish, but definitely enjoy wearing on a daily basis for a dewy, healthy glow.

One of the best foundations out there, this is great as a foundation or complexion enhancer. Light to moderate coverage and a dewy glow, this is easily blendable and long-wearing. I'm on my second bottle!

I am a PPP, and this is the best foundation I have ever tried. Perfect shade, perfect consistency, and awesome coverage! Fragrance-free, too. The only downside is that the packaging is awful...the liquid is so thick that you have to shake the small glass bottle pretty hard to get the makeup out. Worth it, though, if you have pale skin that needs coverage. Definitely try this product!!!!

i am VERY picky with my foundations, and was happily surprised to discover this! the MA talked me into it, and i just bought it on a whim, not really expecting much.

boy was i wrong! i love it so much...i was a little concerned that he told me to go with the satin instead of the oil-free, b/c i have normal to oily skin that is sensitive. however, it did NOT clog my pores, and left my skin literally flawless and glowing. i get so many compliments when i wear it, i've started wearing it all the time.

it has great coverage but is not too thick or heavy. on good skin days, you just need a little bit on your forehead nose and chin and blend it out. otherwise, slap it on and don't worry about how your skin looks underneath!
