I really wanted to like this colour, because when I saw swatches, it really did look beautiful. But it just does not show up on my eyelids AT ALL!! Okay, granted I do have discoloured eyelids, but I don't think that is the problem, since I can usually get most other colours to show up. I just find that it's more glitter and less colour, so by the time I feel like I've picked up enough product to get a decent application, there is just a fallout mess. I have this in my Naked 2 palette, and it is the one colour I have tried time and time again to use, but every single time, it's just been the same glittery mess. I am dark skinned, NC42 for reference, so maybe the colour itself isn't for my skin colour to start with, but the fact that I cannot for the lift of me get it to show up?? Seriously, big disappointment.

This is one of my all time favorite neutral eyeshadows.Shimmery taupe shade looks great with MAC fairylite pigment on browbones and mac teddy eye kohl or just by itself. I just hope UD doesn't d/c this eyeshadow.

This is my HG eyeshadow. It lasts forever. Over my primer I get at least 8 hours from it. There is absolutely no fallout. The color is so complimentary for my green/grey eyes and it is something that can be worn with most light eye colors. It is also versatile, I wear it to work, day trips or going out at night without a problem. I often pair it with a rose/gold color and get many compliments on it. This is by far my favorite shadow and I believe it is worth the price.

I am usually a palette girl because I like having a selection and sometimes individual ones can just be too much product for me. That being said, YDK (along with some other mac brown/golds) is one of my only individual eyeshadows. This color is absolutely gorgeous. I wear this alone or mix to make a brown smokey eye. It is perfect for daytime and nighttime which is why I enjoy it so much. There is no fallout and the perfect amount of sparkle/shimmer. If you're into more of matte e/s then I do not rec this for you. It is a little pricey but I have yet to find a drugstore alternative that matches it perfectly, until then I will continue to buy!

This is absolutely beautiful and is awesome with my blue eyes. I have worn this color every day since my original purchase a year ago, and I have just recently hit "pan" on this. I get very bored very quickly with eyeshadow until now. I use the UD primer and then this shadow, and the color stays true and last through the whole day. I find it applies perfectly with hardly any fall out. I receive alot of compliments on how my eye color stands out, not how my eyeshadow stands out, which is my goal.

Absolutely gorgeous. I prefer matte eyeshadows over shimmers, but this is one shimmery shade I'll never shy away from. Versatile light browny bronze, a regular go-to in my collection. Wearing it right now! Brightens me right up. There aren't many UD shades I would happily shell out $18 for, but this is one of them. Too bad I can't see myself ever hitting pan with this, haha.

Favorite ES, use almost everyday. I was first introduced to it when I purchased the Naked 2 palette 3 months ago. I've used it so much that I am almost out of it already and will be repurchasing the single eyeshadow. It's the one eyeshadow I can pair with just a brow highlight and I'm good to go. Definitely recommend.

Won't need to repurchase as there is plenty of product. Very pigmented and smooth and long lasting. Love UD eye shadows!

I love UD shadows in general, but this is one of my favorites. It's a beautiful silvery, chocolatey taupe. It's very shimmery, almost too shimmery, and there's some fallout (minimal), but I can't justify taking a lippie off because the color is just so beautiful, it's a dream to apply, and it lasts all day. It's similar to Sidecar (in the Naked pallette), but with way less glitter and fallout. One of my favorite go-to looks is YDK on the lid, Twice Baked in the outer V and along the lower lashline, and Sin or Sellout in the inner corner and up to the brow. Love it!

I am a blue eyed NW10 (NW20 when tanning from a bottle).
I love this shadow! Beautiful for any eye color : )
DUPE ALERT! I recently purchased an Essence eye shadow single called "Party All Night" from Ulta, and although it looks far more metallicy in the pan than YDK, I swatched them side by side, and yes, they are 99% the same, especially once blended out. If you are looking for a very affordable dupe of YDK, please purchase this shadow.

Where has this shadow been all of my life? I was running late for work about a month ago and I didn't have time for liner and shadow, so I just grabbed this and swiped it on. Perfection. No need for liner because this perfect, shimmery neutral made my blue eyes pop. I have seriously worn it every day since then. The YDK I had was one of the older formulations (in the "token" compact), so I bought the new version to try it out. I don't like the new version nearly as much - it seems to have a lot more tiny copper shimmer that falls around my eye. So I've been stalking eBay for the older YDK's and snapping them up at an alarming rate. Because - HG.

As others have noted, this is similar to MAC Satin Taupe. YDK is definitely more dramatic in terms of shimmer ratio. Satin Taupe is a shimmer, whereas I would call YDK a semi-glitter shimmer. YDK is a cool-toned, taupe with silver overtones on my bareskin. Sometimes I put a chocolate brown cream base underneath and layer YDK on, which really makes the taupe pop. Very pretty and works well as the lid shade with my daily brown cut crease eye.
Took a lippie off for heavy fallout in application and relatively poor wear throughout the day. I don't believe in spending extra money for primers, and without a primer this starts to melt off about 5 hours into the day. But I have this problem with all shadows, so I'm not too mad.

I got this in the naked2 about 5 months ago and officially hit pan! What can I say, this and sin are my all time favorite shadows! It's a perfect brown to put in the crease to smoke out a natural look or it works fine on its own! Slight fallout from use but it's not a big enough problem to care about. I like it in the new UD formula, I haven't tried the YDK in the old formula.
It's worth the price in the naked2 but 18 dollars is a lot, it's worth the full price if you can't get a deal for it.

I've tried both naked palettes from urban decay and swapped the 1st and returned the second. From naked1 I loved half-baked, but I rarely used the rest of the colors and from naked2 I loved YDK, but I hated the quality of the shadows. There was recently a sale on Hautelook and I got YDK bc I knew I'd use it here and there. The color is a beautiful cool taupe-y shade on me. The quality however, sucks! It's just like the palette form, lots of fallout!! ugh. I will used it bc its a lovely color, but I will be holding a napkin under my eyes when I do so I don't end up w sparkles all over my cheeks. I wouldn't repurchase at full price, but since I got it about 50% off, it was worth it.

One of my all time favorites. I am very pale and have a hard time finding flattering all-over lid colors that actually show up on my skin. This is gorgeous, very hard to describe. I got it in my naked 2 so I'm rating it as moderately expensive (it's a good deal). I wear it all over, with tease (grey/brown) blended into my socket bone, then busted blended onto the outer v and into the crease and bootycall in my inner corner. I do find that blending this shadow out very well is key to preventing creasing, but then again everything creases on me if I'm not careful. With primer potion and correct blending, this lasts all day on me. Just don't use too much. I can't describe the color- it's just the right amount of shimmer and very flattering on my blue eyes.

This eyeshadow is gorgeous. It's a shimmery cocoa brown. It's hard to describe the colour but it stands out from other browns. It's very flattering and I imagine it to be flattering on everyone. I would definitely recommend.

This is a stunning, cool-toned taupe shimmer that works well as a crease color to add definition. Other reviewers claim that there is no fallout, but I beg to differ! The shimmers seem to collect underneath my eye upon applying it and they migrate to my face if I don't wipe them off with a tissue. Fallout aside, this is an amazing shade and it applies smoothly with a rich color payoff. You can expect it to last 12 hours without creasing when worn with UD primer potion, which I highly recommend! This color came with the Naked 2 palette and I'm getting close to hitting pan on it, so I plan to repurchase on its own. Great shade for blue eyes!

By the sheer amount of eyeshadows I own, including palettes, I never would have thought that I would have a favorite (I am quite indecisive). I loved it so much in my Naked2 palette, I bought another single of YDK!! Goes to show how excessive I am, but I NEVER, EVER buy 2 shades at once. This shadow is just so utterly PERFECT. Not overtly warm or cool, the texture is just like buttah. This shade is very shimmery, and upon close inspection, there are finely milled particles of golden microglitter incorporated into the formula. Don't let it turn you off though; it's so finely milled, it sticks on and looks like shimmer, quite unlike UD's famous "Cowboy" shades and etc. I have never encountered a formula like this before, despite being labelled as a shimmery shade. Alas, no fallout whatsoever. I own many taupes, but because of its neutrality, it is great for any occasion. Everyone should definitely try this, and I will keep repurchasing although I don't have to for awhile!

This is the best eye shadow I own! I have been using it for a while now and it is so perfect I can't live without it! I usually use this one on my lid, baked in my crease and then I beleive its mac blanc under my brow. I always get tons of compliments!
