This was definetely the worst bodycream/butter that I ever tried! Scent is yummy, but it tastes strange sugary, doesn't absorb on skin at all. Left bedlinen dirty.

Feels disguisting!!! It's oily and greasy, with a grittiness. Although it smells nice, like vanilla cupcakes, it tastes strange....I do recommend this and I would not purchase this again. In fact, I'm probably going to stay away from the Dessert line in general. The body products are oily, the perfumes are artificial and cheap smelling, and the lip glosses are too sparkly and silvery. If I was in my early/mid teens I might have enjoyed it, but not anymore....

While I have to agree with some reviewers that there are a lot of drawbacks to this product - it's very thick and greasy, takes ages to absorb and the smell might be too sickeningly sweet for some - its moisturising ability is fantastic and for me, that's the most important quality in a body cream.

For those who don't like the smell, it doesn't linger on your skin long anyway and for those who don't like the texture, just use it at night as a hand/foot cream. Almost all of the ingredients are natural and all are well-known for their excellent properties as moisturisers.

I have to admit, it's really impractical as an all over body moisturiser since it takes so long to absorb into your skin - this is why I initially stopped using it. I have recently started using it as a foot cream at night as my heels have become extremely dry and my feet have never been so soft! The great thing is the softness really lasts too.

So I would highly recommend this cream for problem areas or dry spots rather than as all-over body cream. Best to use at night if you don't want sticky skin!

Ingredients: Water, avocado oil, shea butter, cocoa seed butter, glyceryl stearate citrate, coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, vegetable oil, vitamin E acetate, flavour, sodium saccharin, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sorbic acid, methyl paraben

So before buying this I read the reviews here and decided it was probably junk. But then I saw it again in store and decided what the heck, I'll try it. I am so glad I did! My sweet butter is not greasy, oily, gritty, seperated, or anything else previous reviewers have listed below. I'm beginning to think it may really depend on how the suppliers stored the products. Mine is a wonderful scent, incredibly moisturizing.. and yes, it does taste good! It's a silly little novelty, but hey, my husband doesn't complain!

Like many other reviewers here, I bought this because it was on sale. I really liked the smell, but unfortunately it is very oily and doesn't absorb too well. The oil in it has separated out more and more the longer I've had it, and the pleasant vanilla smell has become kind of Play-Doh-like.

These products are intended to be sweet and edible, and they have saccharin in them to make them sweet (so beware if you want to avoid artificial stuff). So, since the stuff leaves your hands greasy for hours after putting it on, it will make everything you touch sweet and vanilla flavored. For example, if you make a cup of tea and happen to touch the rim of your tea cup, your tea will taste like vanilla body butter. Gross.

I've been trying to use this up on the dry skin on my elbows and knees, like you'd use olive oil. One plus I can think of: the jar is nice and sturdy, I want to re-use it to make my own sugar scrub with this recipe I found.

Yuck! While the smell is appealing--like cupcakes--the texture is completely off-putting. Extremely greasy, with sugary-feeling gritty bits in the mix. I used it on my legs, and it left grease spots on my lounge pants. I do not recommend this!

I love this. I keep it in a cool dry place, and it has not seperated. It is a bit thick and greasy when I scoop it out, but it quickly absorbs leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth, and smelling and tasting sweet and cakey!! I am so glad all the Dessert Beauty Stuff is on sale now (discontinued, I think!!) since I get great treats like this, cheap!!!

This is pretty gross. I actually really like the rest of the Dessert line, but this one is just sick...it seperates and is VERY greasy, even on the driest of skin.

If I could describe this in one word it would be:NASTY. It super greasy and it stinks, I didn't leave it on long enough to even try to find out if it moisturizes or does whatever its supposed to because I couldn't stand it. It's like rubbing cooking oil on yourself, except it costs 10 times more. yuck.

So....Let's be up front about this. I'm a little bit of an idiot for buying this. It was on sale, so it took the edge off. I get it home, and EW. Have you ever thought about what might happen if you put a box of Krispy Kreme donuts in a vat of oil, and let them stew there over the course of about a week..(coming back every once in awhile to stir it, come on now- let's not be irresponsible!)- and at the end of that week, stir it once more for good measure... and you dip your hand into it, and you realize what happened? You made Sweet Butter. Honestly, it is such a gross product to use. It's very oily, and you can actually smell the oil. After all is said and done, and it finally decides it's time to sink in.. it DOES moisturize very well and leaves your skin feeling pretty good.. But the entire process leading up to that moment is so grotesque I can't possibly see myself using it again. I threw it away. Ick.

I, like all others, saw visions of fluffy whipped frosting when I saw this product. Which it is not, when it arrives. My husband gave this to me for christmas this past year, and at first I found it very oily and greasy. But, after storing it in the fridge, like many suggested, it was much better. I have extreeeeeeeemly dry and itchy skin, and nothing I have tried has moisturized it well. But this does. Yes, I admit, it does take a while to absorb in, and I don't use it everyday, maybe 2-3x a week, but I just put a little time away when no one is home so I can walk around in the buff and let it absorb. Is the only thing so far that I have found that makes my skin soft!

UGH. I think I got this for $5 and I'm upset I wasted that much on it. It's sticky, gooey, messy and doesn't absorb well. It's like a sticky body oil. The smell is okay, but the texture is not at all what I expected - it's almost grainy, I thought it would be creamier. When mine arrived via UPS from Sephora, it had all melted and then hardened on one side of the round container it came in. I had to warm it up by leaving it on the top of my computer for a few hours just so I could open the thing without fear of it getting everywhere. Really disappointed in this product.

Greasy, greasy, greasy... Thank goodness I only paid 10 bucks for this stuff on clearance at Sephora because I would've been HIGHLY upset if I had paid more. This is nothing like what I expected. I almost threw it away until I found out from the fiancee that it does leave a nice taste behind. So I won't keep it for every day use, just for days when I feel like staying in and tasting sweet hehe...

I love this product. When it came in the mail, it did not look like the picture at all like everyone else had said. The oil and other ingredients seperated, so I just mixed it with my finger, and it does look like the pic. I also keep it in the fridge so it has a firmer texture.

It smells delicious, and when I put it on it warms up, making the product feel very luxurious. It moisturizes very well, and it doesn't stay greasy on me long at all. By the time I'm ready to leave the house in the morning, it has soaked in. It leaves a lovely light scent behind, and makes my skin taste sweet, my SO loves it. I will be repurchasing.

Ugh..I really wanted to like this, but I can't. First, it has the consistency of a oily cream soup. Second, it smells nothing like buttercream to me (maybe I got a dud?) I can't even describe the smell-almost like Playdoh. It's actually not THAT bad of a scent in the jar (but still nothing like I'd expected), but once I applied to my skin-yuck!!! It's VERY greasy and took over an hour to completely dry. Once dried, it actually smelled more pleasant, but still nothing like I'd hoped. When I get a foody-scented body lotion, I want to open the jar and relish in the delightful smell, and feel like a goddess as I'm applying it-that's half the fun of food-scented products to me. No wonder they marked this down from $42 to $10-I guarentee 96% of people who buy this stuff return it. And that's exactly what I'm doing.
