First off, this is actually called Blue HawaiiAN. This scent has finally driven home to me that I at least cannot trust scents based on memory. I remember spraying this on my wrist about 5 years ago and loving it because it smelled like a blue SweeTart. Now it smells like very watery fake pineapple. This isn't the only perfume that just hasn't worked on me the way I remembered - I don't know if my nose has evolved, or if my chemistry has changed or what, but from now on any scent I remember fondly but haven't worn within 2 years gets a new test drive before I buy. In any case, Blue Hawaiian suffers from the same pitfall as all other Demeter fragrances - the scent is gone within 30 minutes.

This is probably one of my favorite Demeter fragrances. I love the tropical scent. It reminds me of the beach. However, be prepared to spray this over and over on your wrists because it has no lasting power whatsoever.

Boo! This smells so so so delicious and I bought it thinking that it would be just the pick-me-up I needed to combat the dreary winter weather, but the gorgeous smell lasts all of about 2.5 seconds. And then POOF! It's gone. I ended up returning it because I was so disappointed.

Very much pineapple..but fresh still, with a hint of coconut. A bit too much pineapple for me though...but overall its a nice tropical scent if you like pineapple.

I bought this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, I love the heavy pineapple and sweet notes. It's girlie and playful, and while I probably won't run around sporting this in January around the barn, I would totally blow the dust off of it for a hot tob party in. Goes great with my Pink Lemonade - so layer it up and make it more fun and intriguing. - the swarm of men around you will be happy to play "Guess this scent!"

I am convinced Demeter's products are not consistent! Blue Hawaiian smells like pure canned pineapples on me, and you know what? I like it. It's fantastic. Additionally, it's the only fragrance that doesn't "turn" on me. It fades a little but doesn't smell funny after awhile, and unlike other Demeters on me it lasts forever! Certainly not what other reviewers are saying!

Smelled it at Victoria's Secret and I loved it! The pineapple scent is to die for. I bought both the lotion and the perfume and it seems to last a lot longer when I wear them together.

OK for a few wears but to me it's very one-note and after a while you're thinking "Why DO I want to smell like a pineapple?" And then it's just kind of weird.

I love this fragrance. I love that it smells just like pineapples. Sadly, it doesn't last very long. I probably wouldn't buy it again just because it doesn't have the staying power.

Definitely smells like a tropical drink, if not exactly curacao and rum. But the pineapple? For sure. As with every single Demeter I've ever had/tried/come across, I have enough fingers on both hands to count the minutes till this one fades. Fun, though.

I purchased this scent only because it came with Hawaiian Surf but this scent didn't really capture me. It definitely smells like pineapples but I don't know anyone who wants to smell like pineapples. I tried to give this perfume away to several friends and no one wanted it. I just don't think the pineapple scent is really in. But maybe someone likes it? Though, I did layer this scent with Hawaiian Surf and it seemed to make it a bit bearable, but overall, I wouldn't buy it again.

I just returned this, my first and last Demeter purchase. I think the name sold me on it, because once I got in the car and sprayed it on, I immediately was thrown back to my junior high Avon-wearing days. This is cheap -- and it smells like it. I also bought their Laundry scent, that was just as bad.

This is one of the stronger Demeters in my opinion. While the lasting power is not great, it does last a bit longer on me than some of the other varieties. This scent is fun and fruity, a great summertime fragrance.

I agree with another reviewer who said this scent makes her thirsty! Smells like a pina colada, yum! My only complaint is that it has NO staying power whatsoever. About two hours after spraying, it's gone!

Sniffed this in Sephora and thought it was yummy. Went to show a friend and realized it smells exactly like canned pineapples. Um, nice, but not what I want to smell like. Too bad since the sample-sized bottle was really cheap ($10) and really cute.

This was a GREAT smell!! Smells exactly like the Pineapple Paradise candle from Yankee Candle. It makes me want to hop in my car and hit the beach!I just wish it would last longer. Overall great product!

Can you say pineapple Jolly Rancher? This is what this smells like to me. Extremely candy and fake. I have had better luck with the other Demeters before, but this turned out to be a complete miss. If you want authentic pineapple succulence go with L'Artisan Ananas Fizz or Aquolina Ananas Body Milk!

I have not been duly impressed withany of the demeter kahalas..... most don't seem to live up to their names and few invoke Hawaii .... Blue Hawaii is a fairly generis "blue" scent like ocean water etc. there's lots of scents out they're like it and they're called "ocean" or "cool water" etc. Nothing special......
