I have really oily skin! Whiteheads and blackheads are common, but so far once using this product they have all decreased significantly. I love the way it cleans my full face of make up, even my supposed waterproof mascara comes off a bit when washing my face with this product. It smells great, feels wonderful with the microbeads, and it doesn't hurt when its near my eyes; so I scrub a little bit on eyes to wash off my eye make up.

It does a wonderful job with getting my face make up off and most of my eye make up off as well. Keeps my skin feeling fresh and has definitely helped control my acne; even though I don't break out often.

In the end, it cleans my face, takes off make up really well, fights acne, but the packing stinks! I just have to be really sure I close it well and store it sideways so the product doesn't leak out!

I been a fan of the Clean & Clear daily pore cleanser for years, every since I was 22 and I'm 27 now. I use to have black heads really bad after using this product I have absolutely no blackheads in my face, it's true the packing is poor quality, the product coming out and being messy but other than that I absolutely love this product I mean everything has it's downfalls.. I use this as apart of my daily facial routine.. I clean with this in the morning and sometimes i use my facial cleaning buff when I want that extra clean feeling and it feels sooo amazing.. I'm now working on a new regimen for my face but I will not change from clean & clear as my morning/daily cleanser .. I do want to try cetaphil I've heard good things about it... but overall this is a wonderful soft product it does WHAT IT SAYS it cleans the pores and also it got rid of all my blackheads, I did see where people was saying that it said it get rid of all the make up... No where on my packing does it say that or maybe I'm reading wrong lol . but yes I will continue to use this product hands down!!! :)

I've been using this cleanser for more than a year now. I think it's the best cleanser I've used, but I don't feel that it's good enough. I went on Accutane a few years ago, and that helped clear up a lot of the zits I got (would never get many, but I would always have one or two that were HUGE), and wanted something to clear the zits I'd still get occasionally.
I find that this product helped, and I love the price and that I can find it anywhere (Canada doesn't have all the cleansers available in the States!). I'd buy it again, but I think I'll also try something new.

This was my first cleanser ever. I first bought it when I was in 7th grade (I'm a junior in high school now). I didn't get much acne back then, just one small one that dries up in a day, but I decided to buy it just because.

I like the smell. Anyways, I love the microbeads. It gently exfoliated my face, and it was gentle enough to my young skin. Sadly, when I was 13, I didn't know that much about skincare, so I had this cleanser, but I didn't use a moisturizer at all. I develop itchy small bumps on my face, but it was my fault. Not the product's, but I did quit using it for a few years until a few weeks ago. Those bumps disappeared after using moisturizer from the same brand after a few weeks. The weird thing is I went through one full bottle and a half before stopping lol.

I saw the same bottle (old packaging) I had when I stopped in my medicine cabinet and decided to give it a try. I've been scared to exfoliate my face because over the years, my skin became sensitive. I have no clue why. But this product didn't cause me any problems! I use it everyday, and it never over dries my face. It's gentle for my easily irritable skin, and I still love the smell. I actually finished what's left from a few years ago, and went ahead and bought myself another one.

I started breaking out out of nowhere earlier this year, and I find that this cleanser helped with my acne scars a little bit, and it also cleared up my face. It wasn't bad acne, just small ones, but they would appear like 3 at a time, and it was frustrating. I think I just really needed a good exfoliating. The dead skin cells on my face probably caused my breakouts.

I dislike the packaging. Too flimsy, but I learned an easier way to open it without wasting product. I turn it upside down so the product is away from the cap, then I open the cap and gently tip it forward into my hand. But I don't mind the hassle that much.

Price = cheap
Packaging = quite good
Would you buy this product again? = NO
Why?
Firsst it makes my face so smooth, but in the next morning,my blackhead whitehead and acne become worse,
I thought it's a purging process, and it's successfully turn my mild acne into moderate acne. Well after I stop use this,my skin back into normal, just some comedones and small acne. Thanks God for stopping me using the product so it's not destructive with my face

Not a bad cleanser at all. While I don't wear a lot of makeup, it does a good job of cleaning my face without stripping it. I had been using Burt's Bees Acne Cleanser, but found that it was not cleaning my face well enough, particularly during these hot summer months. This has been a good step up. The small exfoliants are a nice addition to the cleanser, which has a light, not offensive, soapy scent. All in all, I think this is a good basic cleanser, especially for the price. I'm finishing my second bottle of this stuff and I really have no complaints about this product except for the packaging. It lets the product spill out really easily!

I just started using this cleanser, but so far I love it! I have noticed a HUGE improvement in my skin. Before I would have a problem pimple and just as it would start to clear up s few more would come up. It was a never-ending process. Now I get less problem pimples and this face wash helps to clear them up. It also does a pretty good job of removing my makeup. Plus, it doesn't dry out my skin, and I find that a lot of products do. The only reason I an giving this cleanser a 4 and not a 5 is because it does not help with eliminating the oiliness of my face, but I am willing to deal with oily for a great cleanser, as I have always been oily anyway. Overall, love and would buy again.

PRICE: moderate to kinda expensive (about $7.50)

PACKAGING: terrible! the tube is the squeeze kind and i feel like it is too flimsy. the product is also petty liquidy so it is very messy.

CLEANING POWER: i felt like it didn't really clean at all. i was looking for a deep cleanser (pore cleanser), and this product was very deceiving.

SIDE EFFECTS: i have combination skin, i felt like it dried out my cheeks, forehead, and chin very much, and kept my nose kind of shiny. it also enlarged the pores on my cheeks (near my nose). it also made the skin around my nostrils rough

PROS: smells nice, did leave my skin a little smooth (except my nose)

BOTTOM LINE: Terrible product, it was a waste of my money. i will NEVER EVER buy this product again, it didn't do anything a cleanser was supposed to do!

This is an OK cleanser.
Pros:
~the beads in it feel good
~really cleans all the oil off my face
~not drying
Cons:
~If I have a full face makeup on like Revlon Colorstay it will not come off with this cleanser I have to wash my face 3x to get all the foundation

I've been an avid Neutrogena person all my life, but I only went out to buy this after seeing ratings on MUA.

I was upset that it doesn't have any acne medication (salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide), but it's been doing an okay job of keeping my face clean.

Doesn't leave my skin dry, but doesn't do any miracles of any kind; no pore shrinkage or acne vanishing going on.

However, a feature that irks the HECK out of me is that IT SPILLS SO EASILY. all over the place if it's not clicked into place all the way closed. So it goes without saying that I've lost more than a little bit of product from carelessness.

I've never had that happen to me while using the Neutrogena scrub, but besides that, I think it's a very meh product all around. It's great to have to make sure that I'm not over-exfoliating from only using the Neutrogena scrubs, but a little disappointed for a 4 star rating.

I love this cleanser. I'm already nearing the end of my third tube! I was initally attracted to it because it earned a 'Paula's Pick' rating on Beautypedia. I use it morning and evening with my Olay Advanced Cleansing System brush and it gets my skin clean, refreshed, and ready for my other skincare products. This cleanser does not contain any irritants that will inflame your skin. Also, this cleanser isn't meant to take the place of your exfoliants. It's just meant to give you a little more help in between, which is great for people like me with oily and clog-prone skin. I will agree with other reviewers that the packaging is a little flimsy and annoying, I try to counteract this by squeezing out the product when the bottle is turned at a 30-40 degree angle and then snapping the cap cover back on, as this eliminates product from dripping onto the lid cover. For reference, I am a Retin-A Micro user and this cleanser works great for me. I would definitely recommend it to anyone out there in a similar situation, or just anyone who is looking for an inexpensive, non-irritating cleanser that cleans the skin well.
NOTE: I notice that the size of this product keeps getting smaller - it used to be 156 mL, and now it's only 148. What's up, Clean and Clear?!

UPDATE 3/16/2012:
So I recently found out that this cleanser actually isn't a basic cleanser, after all.
It doesn't remove all my makeup, despite that I said it did in my original review (see below). It removed most of my Revlon Colorstay Foundation (and all you guys know the staying power of Colorstay), which is pretty impressive actually, but I need to cleanse twice in a row, followed by a toner, in order to fully get rid of Colorstay.
But I found out that it actually GETS RID OF BLACKHEADS. After a month of twice daily consistent use, it got rid of 90% of the blackheads on my nose, which left behind some visible pores, but who the hell cares? I'd rather have a pore-ish, smooth nose than a bumpy, black-dotted nose.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
This is your basic facial cleanser.
And when I say "basic", I mean it. There's nothing special about it, but there's nothing bad about it either. The ingredients seem safe, and there aren't any crazy guarantees or anything like that.
That said, it does what it's supposed to do: cleans your face.
But it also gets rid of makeup. Seriously. I don't even need to use a makeup remover anymore (except for my waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner), because this cleanser just gets rid of it. All of my foundation and eyeshadow and stuff just wipes right off along with the oil and dirt on my face.
However, I was hoping this cleanser would do more for my skin. I have oily skin with moderate acne and a lot of acne marks, and this cleanser did nothing for it. It didn't clear anything up, but it didn't contribute to anything either.
So, I suppose I should be thrilled, but I'm not. Like I said, this is just a basic cleanser, and "basic" really isn't an adjective of any of my makeup or skincare products.
Would I repurchase? No; I'll keep looking.

The reason why I'm not giving this 1 lippie but 2 is because at first this actually liked my skin. I only have one MAJOR complaint!!- i bought this about 3 months ago hoping to find my HG cleanser, i found this. Looking at the ingridents i was thinking this would be good, since it was oil free and contained lactic acid. Then about a month ago i figured out my skin type on my face started to change, IT'S SO MUCH MORE OILY!! my skin before was normal sensitive, now oily sensitive. i constantly have to blot my face during the day which is time consuming and annoying! it's also awful since i wear glasses and they constantly slip down my nose. not re-purchasing ):

I am not sure when exactly I started using this product religiously but I think it was at least ten years ago and I have never looked back. I have used all different drug store brands or face wash as well as more expensive brands like pro-active and this one just tops them all in results and the price is an added bonus. I love the microscrubbers bc they clean and exfoliate in the gentlest way so that my skin gets clean, not irritated or dry. I also find that there are no harsh ingredients in this cleanser otherwise bc the microscrubbers do the cleaning without it. Never in my life did I think with my bad acne I would find a product that I could stick to that would keep my skin overall consistently clear but this does and ppl tell me all the time how nice my skin is and whats my secret...well Im pretty sure this is it since I have been getting those compliments for years and only recently that Im getting older have I added other things to my skin routine. Amazing wash at a great price! Wonderful product!

I absolutely love and consider Clean & Clear's Sensitive Skin Foaming Facial Cleanser my HG, but I love trying new products and based on Paula Begoun's recommendation and the awesome reviews on MUA I thought I would give this cleanser I try. After one use I totally fell in love with it. I personally don't use it for make-up removal, but always use it first thing in the morning to cleanse and prep my skin for all my lotions, potions, and make-up. It lathers beautifully and the soft small beads exfoliates my skin. My skin feels clean, smooth, and never dry or irritated. Love this cleanser, have repurchased it numerous times, and it's my 2nd HG from the Clean & Clear line.

i love this product! i've tried a few cleanser already and this is the only one that actually takes my foundation off and my eye makeup off without struggle. it has little baby beads in the formula not big enough to make it a scrubb but it does help exfoliates.

the only down side to this MIGHT be that it dries my chin out. maybe its the climate that im in because its winter and i do live in a dry climate area so idk if its the climate or the cleanser... but i've never had dry skin before until recently. i use it every time i wear makeup

In the past I had used this stuff for years, it was just considered ok to me since it didn't completely clear up my face but didnt make it break out more either. But up until a couple months ago it just dried the heck out of my skin and my skin just looked super irritated and broke out cause it was dry. So I tossed that and now use aveeno ultra calming foam cleanser and that seems to be really gentle so far and doesnt dry me out.

My friend uses this and she has the most flawless complexion I've ever seen...but that could be genetics haha. I tried using this and I really really liked it (except for how much it dried my nose out- my skin peeled off in layers on the sides of my nose for some reason!) at first, but I'm thinking the whole 'deep cleansing' action brought a lot of gunk to the surface and I started breaking out really badly in places I never broke out before (my forehead and the sides of my chin), which is the only reason I wouldn't buy it again. It's a really good cleanser, exfoliates gently (very fine, round beads) but thoroughly and didn't leave my skin dry or tight feeling (with the exception of my nose). I wish it came in a pump bottle though- I find the formula a little too runny for a flip-cap tube and I would always end up using way too much. I just wish my skin would have agreed with this cleanser!
