This stuff is the BOMB!!!! I am 42 and people think I am under 30. I get compliments on my skin all the time. I will never stop using this. I rub it on my face before bed and leave on overnight. If you have really sensitive skin this may be too strong, but it is great for me!!!

This is the first thing that has worked for my adult acne. I have tried everything...and this cleared me up! I am currently 5 months pregnant and was desperate to find something I could use and decided to give this a try as a last resort. I must say it has given me the best skin in a very long time! I still get some blackheads but in general, my skin tone is so much better!

For starters, my skin type is this: dry in all areas but the t-zone, where I break out, but not a whole lot.

This stuff is just great. Right after just the first use my skin looked way better. I kept using it and kept using it and the more I used it the better my skin got. Now I've had perfect skin for months (which I totally take for granted by the way - I almost forget what it's like to even look at a pimple). Although I do break out a leeeetle bit only sometimes during PMS.

So you're supposed to put this stuff on raw, dry skin, which at first I thought to be quite strange. So I didn't do this at first, and I didn't reap the full benefits of this product until I no longer wet my skin. But, the fact is, I think it contains some type of water stuff in it so water isn't really necessary for some reason. It's strange, I can't figure out why it's like that, it just is. Then you're supposed to massage it. I used to massage it for a long time and kinda leave it on there for five minutes, but that's not the way it works. Just slap it on your skin, kinda rub it around, and rinse off. No big deal. That's what worked best for me anyways.

It leaves your skin feeling soft, clean, just amazing. It's SO gentle, that whenever you feel your skin just a bit dirty, don't feel bad about using it. It's just that great. With the harsher acne treatments I was scared to wash my skin more than twice a day with it, so if I worked out or something I wasn't quite sure what to do. But this stuff is so gentle and amazing, it don' matta.

This is really a miracle product. Sadly enough, there is a catch. It's impossibly hard to find. Usually I have to order it through some pharmacy. And if you order it at Rite Aid, you might get the runaround, because they hold it in the PHARMACY area. Weird right? Also, it's a bit expensive if you do have to order it. $30! Insane. If they happen to have it though, only $15, which is reasonable.

Also, it says it's from Greensboro, NC, which is a tad concerning, because I live in the Triad, so I'm not entirely sure if you can buy it or even hear of it if you don't live here in NC with these local dermotologists. Personally, I heard it from a friend who had adult acne her entire life until her derm suggested this, along with the toner and moisturizer, and now it's all gone for good. This is really quite a product. Especially for someone with dry skin!!!

I bought this cleanser over 15 years ago at Walmart! Then as my disposable income increased I switched to more expensive cleansers. About 6 months ago I was back in Walmart and saw this on the shelves, so I bought it again. I love how this cleanser makes my skin feel! I can't believe I ever stopped using it. I'm not used to cleanser that doesn't lather, but I love the results. My skin is brighter, clearer, and my fine lines are reduced. For those who can't seem to find it locally, try Walmart in the pharmacy department. They used to have it out on the shelves, but last time I had to ask where it was and they had it behind the pharmacy counter. Hope this helps some of you find it locally!

I don't like that this product didn't lather. It also did nothing for my acne. The thick consistency of the product is good for shaving though, so that's what I use it for.

I have been using this product for 3 months and I'm a convert. I have glycolic acid peels done every couple of months at the dermatologist to treat hyperpigmentation, and I wanted something to extend the glow that I experience after a peel. At first I was nervous that using an AHA on a daily basis would dry out my skin, but this has not been the case. As an added bonus, my pores are smaller and I rarely have pimples crop up anymore.

Other people have mentioned that this doesn't do a good job of removing make-up, but I use Clinique Take the Day Off prior to using AG and the combination is terrific.

My only complaint is that I can't find a place to purchase this locally, but it's cheap and easy enough to buy on Amazon, so that's a relatively minor issue.

This is an amazing AHA cleanser for an amazing price. I purchased a multipack on Amazon for a total steal. I sometimes use this instead of the more expensive MD Forte cleanser and can't tell a difference. Both are amazing HG products that have made my skin look younger, softer and break-out free. Love this product and the price!

I have been using this product for about a month now and it has become an essential part of my regimen. However I don't use it alone. I use it before using my Benzoyl peroxide cleanser from the acne free system and I find that this cleanser does a good job at prepping my skin before using the BP cleanser. It enhances the ability of the bp cleanser and helps it to fight and prevent acne better. Neither cleanser is as effective alone (for me).
Pros- great exfoilator
-helps fade blemishes
-speeds up healing time of new pimples

Cons-doesnt leather
Doesn't leave you face feeling clean
-defective pump bottle (well it could have been just the one I got)

I have only been useing this for 3 wks I have the 3 step system. I am acne prone. I have made major changes to my routine so I cant say what is stopping my pimples for sure. But I am useing the 3 step system with pan oyxl and I hardly dont get any pimples now. I will update if anything changes but so far I think this is a great product I do have slight flaking and I use exfoliate every 2 or 3 days. This doesnt make you peel to the point that you cant go outside or anything. I think this is a great product. So far so good very happy so far. I can tell I will run out of the cleanser faster then the other two products that it came with and I think this is the best product and the most important of the system. I think you could get away with only useing this and skipping the other two>>I love this for shaving my legs also and stops those little pesky shaving bumps after i shave my bikini area

my boyfriend has stolen this product from me! he had mild acne (which got under control using derm-prescribed medication), used neutrogena and st. ives products, but still had problems with the large pores on his nose. dirt and oil would collect inside of the pores and solidify, making his nose dark, bumpy, and shiny. i bought the Aqua Glycolic set (complete with toner and lotion from amazon.com), and he started using the cleanser. after a few weeks of use, his pores completely shank and cleared out. his nose is now totally smooth, though the pores are still visible. still, given what the before was like, the change is amazing!

-1 lippie because the product doesn't remove eye makeup. in fact, you're supposed to avoid the eye area, which necessitates using a separate eye makeup remover either before or after cleansing.

I have been using this product for about a week now and have noticed that it has helped with my breakouts. It causes my skin to lightly exfoliate day after day, resulting in smoother and clearer skin. Hopefully it will continue to do its magic.

Update: ive been using this cleanser along with the toner and switch between the face cream, and a vitamin E cream for the past few months now. i still absolutely love this line. however, it really has not done much to control my breakouts. i did not get it for that purpose tho. i got it to brighten my skin and fade hyperpigmentation, which it has done an AMAZING job. not even long term use of tazorac evened my skintone to this extent. it is helping by fading post breakout marks quicker than normal. no redness or dullness to my skin. i do have my breakouts that im dealing with, but instead of one pimple causing my whole cheek or surrounding are to be pink and irritated, its just one dot on my face. the surrounding skin is near perfect. going to derm this week for antibiotics.
origianl post: WOW! awesome stuff! ive been suffering from on and off again acne for almost an entire decade. I recently completed a course of accutane, which stopped the breakouts in their tracks, cleared up my complexion quite a bit, and dimished my oil production. but several months after finishing my course, i started noticing my skin becoming dull, oil production increasing and my skin was beginning to become a bit of a problem again. I had also became extremely concerned about hyperpigmantation and lingering red marks. manuel exfoliants never did a thing for me, except irritate my skin more.

several clogged pores later and a few occasional mini breakouts, i was getting pretty bummed out again about my skin, and just didnt know what to do next. short of another course of accutane. i had heard around that glycolic acid was helpful to some, on preventing acne, aswell as a total skin renewer. so at the pharmacy picking up an unrelated Rx, i just happend to grab this cleanser and the face cream. this was a little over two weeks ago, and my skins clairity and glow has just taken me by complete surprise! i was extremely excited about the quickness of results, with the gentleness of the product! cannot wait to continue and see how my skin looks after finishing my first bottle!

have also used recently as a shaving cream in conjunction with the moisturizer afterwards, to eliminate razor bumps. this has also worked fabulous in that department too! with very little sensitivity.
just picked up the hand and body lotion today, and will use for a bit before i review that. awesome awesome awesome!

Let me start off by saying.... I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun to improve my ACNE. AG and some patience have made huge improvements. I have been an avid user of the AG Cleanser for quite some time now. It did great things for my skin, brightened, clarified, reduced hyperpigmentation. To say the least, I was pleased. In my great search for it to improve my breakouts, alas.... I was left unsatisfied with my results. After using this cleanser periodicly throughout my quest, something drew me back. I liked everything it was doing except for the breakout busting. It wasn't until recently that I saw the system being marketed online, that I thought maybe I should try the entire system to see how it helped my acne. I have struggled for years, since my early twenties as well as a pregnancy skin disturbance as well. I told myself that I didn't have anything to lose. So I did it. I love all of the products AG puts out but have finally found a system that works to improve all of the acne aging hyperpig. downfalls that come along with adult onset acne. I found that this routine worked best:

splash with water in morning
Cetaphil Lotion every morning and night
Broad Spectrum Sunscreen
DHC Deep cleansing oil
AG Cleanser
AG Toner and Cream (every night, except 2x per week I use my Retin A Cream)

This Routine has saved my skin, and with patience, trial and error, AG has been the ticket to FINALLY getting my skin in check. Wahooo! It has been a long awaited, tried and true routine that works for me. Best of luck with AG if you decide to try it. The best advice I can give you is to play around with the AG products... mix and match, switch up when they are used, and LISTEN to your SKIN.

Update: Since I am pregnant with my second child, I have discontinued the use of Retin A and continue to use AG products. They have seemed to help out with the hyper pigmentation that comes with the joys of pregnancy. The hormonal acne still comes and goes but I am still a devoted AG user.

This is one of the worst cleansers I have ever used. I read the directions and massaged it into my face and left it on to soak in and it did sting a bit. This does not clean my face. My face still felt oily after using it and when I toned my skin the cotton ball picked up a lot of residual dirt. I used the rest of the cleanser as shaving lotion.

Love this product. I found it on drugstore.com when they did their Aqua Glycolic sale for around 11.00. It's usually around February. I like the cleanser - it's soft enough for my dry skin...although I usually have to use my eye make up remover as well to get all the mascara off. Not really sure how much it's helping the wrinkles and such, since I'm 29, but I figure it's a good preventative action. My mom, who is 60, had great success with the Arbonne anti-aging kit, but when concerned with the price tag, my mom was suggested this line by her dermatologist, and it has maintained her healthy glow and anti-wrinkle properties.

This is my new "pet" product for my skin, lol. I waited two weeks before reviewing so that I could be sure this was what I'd read about. First, I'm acne sensitive and in my 40's meaning I'm experiencing these hormonal breakouts along my cheeks and chin. A breakout for me is never "just" a breakout - it's guaranteed to leave a scar due to the scar becoming deeply pigmented. Very frustrating.

I recently decided to move on from my beloved Sage Skin Care because I felt that my skin just stopped responding to it. I learned about the AG through a post here asking for help and this one is (so far!) meeting all of my goals. It keeps my skin nice and resh looking throughout the day. It keeps breakouts to a minimum. It does not dry out my skin or irritate it.

Since the product does not remove MU, I use it as a mask after cleansing. I follow the directions for the wash, which is to get your skin wet, pump once, spread it around. I have increased the time I leave it on from 1 minutes to almost 5 with no irritation - and I'm super sensitive.

It keeps my pores clean, is lightening the remaining scarring from the winter and seems to keep my skin looking very fresh. I use a 25 SPF afterwards and that's it for the day. At night a heavier moisturizer and spot treat with a 4% Hydroquinone and that's it. I can already see that the little lines around my eyes are smoothing out.

I ordered the rest of the kit yesterday, which is the body wash, the toner, the moisturizer and another non-foaming cleanswer. I'm fine with the packaging because I'd rather Merz put the quality in the product and not the packaging. This cleanser is not a foam, but a cream, which is fine. I'm expecting continued great results from this as well as from the new products I ordered. I will be review the new products two weeks or so after they arrive. I can see this being a permanent fixture for my skin.

This is my HG, along with the toner and the moisturizer. I am 30 yrs. old and all of a sudden my face started breaking out. I did not know what was causing it, probably hormonal changes due to aging. Anyway, I tried so many products and nothing. Then, due to my sister's recommendation, I tried this product and what a difference. My skin has completely cleared up in about two/three weeks. I get the occasional one or two small flare ups here and there, but they go way very quickly. Now, all I have to worry about is the left over acne scars and my large pores, which 12.5% TCA peels seems to be helping.
