Seems a lot of women don't like this product, but I do. I use it as a wintertime moisturizer-sunscreen -- in summer, I use a higher SPF unless it's rainy and dark.
I like the texture (smooth, spreads so easily, light); the color (lovely pale peach); and the feel of it (is that the texture again? Oh, well!). The jar is beautiful too, though that's not really important.
I am an older lady who still has combination skin. I don't slather on a large amount of this product, and I alternate on different days and use other products.
Hey! Just found out that Lancome's discontinued it. TYPICAL!

I like Lancome face cream because they really deliver results.
To be honest, I am a lazy girl! There would be 2 or 3 weeks that I did not put any cream at night, resulting my skin a bit dry.
But when I use Lancome face cream, within a week, my face feels hydrated and supple. But i feel the cream is a bit rich, cause having using it daily for 3 weeks, my t-zone starts to shine.
Overall, i think lancome face creams are good! =)

I am so incredibly grateful that I did not pay for this product. I got this as a gift with purchase. Actually, I have recieved it several times as a gift with purchase. Words like `Prime`and Òptimum`really instill confidence that it will in fact moisturize to the best of its ability, but no, this cream is oddly frugal with the actual moisture.
It has come to be in two forms; a squeeze tube that caused product to come flying out at the speed of light, and a bulky glass jar that made up for in beauty what it took from the environment (eye roll). The colour is pleasing enough, an angelic cameo pink. The odour the same. And I am sure it does what it says, but if you are a dry skinned lass, this is not the moisturizer for you!

Have just started using this but wanted to comment on the lovely texture. I actually like highly fragranced products (nice ones, not ones that smell gross) and I do love this about Lancome in general. I love the feel of this cream, it's rich and I always feel that when dealing with dry skin, rich is best! Will update with results.

This is my first high-end product which I used several years ago. I finished two jars of this cream- but still didn't see any of the promised results. In fact- I was so dissapointed that I didn't buy another expensive skincare product until 5 years later. Personally I believe that Lancome equals L'oreal in a fancy package and some extra zeros on the price.

I am not a fan of this moisturizer. This promises to even skin tone and prevent the first signs of aging. I tried this for several weeks and did not notice either. This cream seems a bit heavy, and once applied, seems to ball up and peel off my skin, as several other reviewers have mentioned. Every time I've worn it even after exfoliating carefully so the product will absorb, it seems to "sit" on top of the skin and flakes as soon as you rub the area and/or try to apply foundation. For this reason alone I stopped using the large sampe jar I received in a PWP. On the plus side, however, this has a lovely fragrance. I would not buy again, but might try the lotion to compare the effects.

I was very disappointed with this product for the sole reason that it started to flake off like a skin peel shortly after I applied it to my face.
I noticed a previous reviewer also had the same experience.
One of my male coworkers noticed it peeling off my face and thought it was dandruff! I will not buy this product again.

Basic day cream with SPF. Nothing extraordinary about it except the price. I didn't find this to be any different from a lot of the much cheaper day creams available in drugstores; reminds me a lot of Oil of Olay's Complete Day Cream with SPF. So if you really love this product just get the Olay instead and save your money. I expected more from Lancome. I'm all for luxury brands -- that's not even my issue. It's just that if you're going to give me a luxury-standard product, I'll pay for it and enjoy it. But if you're going to give me a mediocre mass-market product with an outrageous price tag, I'm not having it. Will certainly not repurchase and will definitely not recommend to anyone.

I do like Lancome products and this one is no different.
I've been using Primordial Optimum Visibly Correcting Moisturizer with SPF 15 now for about 2-3 months and have found that every time I use it at night I wake up with visibly smoother, more vibrant and rejuvenated supple skin. I'm in my early 30s and 'have' a few very fine lines that have appeared after a big weight loss, but this moisturizer has helped tremendously in ironing out almost all of those naughty lines.
I've already repurchased back-up stock, as this works fabulously with my MAC primer and Lancome foundation when I wear it during the day.

I have been using this for 1.5 weeks and tomorrow am returning it to the store to exchange for something else.
I have sensitive skin, and the SA told me this would be fine, esp as my skin is very dry and has the first signs of aging.
It makes my skin feel uncomfortable, caused a few patchy blotchy red areas, and leaves a film on my forehead.
The container is pretty though :o)

Got this as a gwp. It is very moisturising and would be great for someone with really dry skin but I encountered a small problem in that after applying my make up on top that it kind of rolls off in lumps!! I can lightly rub my finger on say my forehead if I had an itch or something and it looks like my skin is rubbing away!!! eeuugh!
For this reason I would probably use this at night for a moisture surge (so long as there is no SPF in it which I don't know as I don't want to overload my skin with an SPF at night when I don't need it!) I expect the Night version would be good. Having said that it does give my skin a nice glow, put it on this morning as feeling a bit yuck and skin a bit dry (not enough water!) and it's nice on my combo skin, not oily (yet!) but if I rub it looks like my face is about to fall off!
Packaging sucks, not very hygenic but nice consistency.

I really wanted to love this product, and although this does moisturize nicely on my dry sensitive skin, it just didn't perform: my fine lines were not affected in the slightest, which makes this a nice, expensive moisturizer.

I enjoy using this cream very much on my combination skin. It has a nice gentle scent and great consistency - creamy, but not too thick. My skin is soft when using this and it doesn't shine! Almost every other cream with SPF makes my skin super-shiny so this is a huge plus for me. Overall I like this product, but I believe the price is very high so whenever I can get it at a discount or with a GWP I will certainly repurchase.

I brought the jar type instead of pump lotion. It works great for my normal to dry screen. Makes my skin so soft and smooth, I finished the whole jar without any break out or irritation. It does have a fragrance smell, I like it, not strong. It's kind of pricy though.

I'm 33 and my skin is reasonably clear, almost no lines, but lacks vibrancy, a little dehydrated, but oily on the t-zone.
Primordiale Optimum is a moisturiser with SPF 15 that's targeted at skins seeing first signs of agening. I've been using this for a month and I found it pleasant to use, didn't break me out, absobed well and provided a good base for makeup. I can't say I saw any dramatic difference to my skin, but it did the job. Personally I find this quite pricey for what it is (a standard day cream), and I'll be continuing my search for something better.

I don't if it's the product or the salesperson fault that this product did not work well for me. I am 27 years old and wanted to start using a good moisturizer. She said this would be great for the first signs of aging. I have a very oily t-zone and this product caused me to break out.

I got a small GWP tub of this cream. After about 1 hour of having it on my face I broke out in a horrible rash on my cheeks and chin!! I still have the rash - and very irritated and unhappy skin. I can use all the major skincare brands with no problem - this is the first product I've ever had a reaction to. Highly fragranced, silicon product. Definitly not for poeople with even slightly sensitive skin and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. Poor quality at an unreasonable price. Blech! Would give it zero if I could.

I use this on my eye area and on my neck. I'm very oily so I don't use all over my face. I really like it. It's a good under eye cream and my neck looks smooth. I will not repurchase because I'm looking for my HG.

I love this stuff. I have pretty oily skin but it still works for me. It has noticeably diminished fine lines around my eyes and has made my skin tone much more even. I noticed a difference after about 2 weeks I think. I can even go without foundation now-something I would NEVER do before. I've tried Clinique and Philosopy moisturizers and this is by far the best. There is a very light pleasant fragrance which could bother some people. The pump bottle is awesome because you can unscrew the top to get the last of the product out. Will buy again for sure.
