This must work for some people but it doesn't seem to do anything for my hair. The only time I see a difference is if I use this while my hair is still damp and then immediately blow dry. But I've got an insanely dense head of hair and I prefer letting it air dry a bit. For that reason, I prefer Biosilk over this serum. The number one drawback to the Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum is that it makes my hair get greasy really fast. Without it, I can stretch hair washing/blow dry/straightening to every three days. With it, I have to wash my hair every day and that was starting to get damaging to my hair. I will not be repurchasing this.

I have naturally straight hair but i really like the super skinny serum because it gives my hair a more sleek, shiny look. It also helps when trying to scrunch your hair(:

I have very dry, frizzy, breakage-prone hair. I was really hoping this product would tone down the frizz but it did nothing but give my hair an obnoxious smell. It smells just like "Cucumber Melon" from B&BW that was all the rage when I was in middle school. Anyway, I tried this product so many ways, one drop, several drops, on dry hair, on wet hair, everything in between. Nada. No frizz reduction, no shine or softness. Biosilk is 10X better. I am greatly disappointed with Super Skinny and I will not repurchase.

I love this stuff! I apply it after I blow dry my hair, but before I straighten it. I don't blow dry or straighten it everyday, so I've had the same bottle for three years now and still have a good bit left. Anyway, this stuff makes my hair super silky and shiny. I'm not sure if it protects against heat - I don't think it does. That's why it only gets a 4. Also, you have to be VERY careful not to apply too much because this product is pretty greasy. It smells really good though - like a fruity, fresh scent. I would repurchase, just because I haven't found anything better than this.

I have been using this product for almost a year now, and have not seen any changes in my hair. It claims to make your hair soft and smooth and less frizzy, but for me this cream does nothing to my hair. Too expensive to continue purchasing.

Just got this product at a hair appt. the other day my stylist suggested it for me. I LOVE it! Very light-weight, non-greasy, and really moisturizes and smooths your hair. As directed I apply to damp hair about a quarter size amount and work through my hair and it works great!

I love this serum!!! This works perfect for my hair. I have pretty thick, long wavy hair that tends to frizz easily and doesn't like to stay smooth. I noticed a difference immediately during blow drying! My hair was thicker, smoother, shinier and it took half the time to dry! I also like that it's in a pump and it's easy to see how much you have left. It smells like candy watermelon, but it isn't overpowering. I had to use more than just one pump on my hair because it's so long and more on the dry side, so I use two pumps. The bottle will still last a really long time, so definitely worth the price. I could use just this, blow dry with a brush and not need any other product to straighten my hair. (not perfectly poker straight but straight instead of my natural wavy) I would not recommend it to someone that has thick curly hair or just really thick hair, it would probably just make it bigger.

This product is amazing. I have thick, naturally blonde(but highlighted), wavy/curly frizzy-ish hair. This product is absolutely amazing. It cuts down on the frizz and smells absolutely amazing. I use it after I get out of the shower at night (starting with the ends). If I straighten my hair the next morning I don't use it again, but if I scrunch my hair; I use it.
I wet my hair so it's a bit damp, use my scrunching spray, then this amazing product. My curls dry on their own. At school, I keep a mini-bottle of in my locker which I use throughout the day if I get a little frizzy.
I recommend getting the mini-bottle at Ulta's for $5 if you do not want to invest in the almost $20 bottle. Though, it is highly worth the price.

I have extremely long (i can almost tuck it into my jeans) hair, I've been growing it out for modeling purposes for years, I have rainbow colors in it (sparing, but definitely present) but apart from the colored bits its wavy/curly, medium brown and really really thick and sometimes frizzy,
i use this product almost every day, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, but its is my all time favorite go-to product, it smooths my hair, smells amazing, makes it soft, shiny and manageable and really adds some moisture to it which is needed due to my colored hair, its also very good for straightening (which i don't do often because it adds a good two inches to my hair from lack of curl alone). everyone should try this product!

I cannot go a day without this product! I've been getting really into haircare lately (leave in treatments, good shampoos, keeping it detangled) because I'm trying to grow out my hair. I blowdry it every night to keep it manageable, and always apply a little bit of this to my hair before blowdrying. It adds shine, tames frizz, and keeps it more manageable. Here's how I use it:
-After I shower, I towel dry my hair and brush it out, then squeeze any excess water out.
-I apply this from about the tops of my ears down, and then rub my hands and the product that's left onto the rest of my hair.
-I apply Aussie split end protectant to the lower portion of my hair.
-Blowdry with diffuser, then sleep!
-When I wake up, I brush out my hair and straighten my bangs. Insta-shine!
I absolutly love this product. It's a little expensive, but at the place I get my hair cut, they often run buy one get one free sale, and my mom gets her it's a ten leave in treatment (which I casually 'borrow' from her most nights), so she gets me this. I'm nearly done with my second bottle, and have another one waiting for me in my stash under my sink.
For refrence, my hair is light brown, wavy, prone to frizz and oilness, and reaches mid back. This makes it look great, when it really isn't.

This serum helps dry my hair faster and I can tell the difference in my hair when I don't use it. It helps with frizz and smoothes my hair out.

I have been using this for a few years now. Works as an awesome detangler. I use it everyday after I shower, and when I do blow dry my hair, I find it speeds up the process. If I don't comb my hair (mid back length/layered), I just apply the serum with my fingers, put my hair up in a bun, and when I let it down after it's dried naturally, my hair feels silky smooth! I normally buy the full size one 1x a year when I get a haircut, so the price seems average to me. But I have notice CVS carries the smaller version of it for MORE than the cost of the full size at the salon! So it is crucial to check out prices before you buy. other then that, I love it!

i have bought this serum three times. For reference, I have 3a curls, and try to minimize my use of silicones, except for this serum. I've tried others, with argan oil, macadamia oil, etc, but this is the best. I use it after I've heat treated my hair, either with the flat ion or curling iron and it makes my hair super soft without weighing it down. of course, if you over use it, it builds up, so i only use two pumps and it's enough for my really big, thick hair. They have smaller travel sizes if you want to try it and not spend $20 on the bigger bottle.

A lot of people think this is a gloss but its not. It is a leave in conditioner than smoothes hair, shines, conditions, nourishes, protects from damage, and silkens the hair, you have to use it the right way to see the correct results. You use on damp hair and use mainly on mid shafts to ends and blow dry, then flat iron to see amazing results I promise. ! It can also be used to shave legs, as a hand gel, or as lipgloss, totally safe!! Holy grail for sure.
This is the farthest thing from think or heavy. It's lite and drys really fast. It smells green apple scented. I love it I see immediate results. One pump, a little goes a long way.

I generally really like Paul MItchel products. This one is pretty good, nothing spectacular though. It does help me when I am straightening my hair and actually has a really good scent to it. I don't like the greasy feeling I get from it which is the only thing that really bugs me. Other than that, it's a decent product in my book.

This is good but it's not the best. I used to use it before I discovered Moroccan oil, which is way better. Moroccan oil actually has beneficial ingredients like argan oil but this is just silicones. It does defrizz and it's good for straightening your hair but it's not actually good for your hair. It smells pretty good, but I love the way Moroccan oil smells way more. Also, this gets greasy of you use too much. Moroccan oil DOES NOT get greasy no matter how much you use.

I was glad to have bought a small sample tube of this serum, because it didn't work well for me at all. It caused extra frizz and my hair could not hold any curl when I used it. Totally unsuitable for my hair, but may work well on someone with thicker, straight hair.

This is another product my stylist turned me onto and I like it alot! It smells great and you don't need too much to do the job. My hair is thick/wavy so it tends to be dry after blowdrying this smooths it all out and leaving my hair smelling good and looking good :)

This product was ok. My hairdresser at the Salon gave me a bottle (We are great friends) My frizzy hair was suppsivedly going to get more wavy and straight but it didn't do much for me besides make my hair super greasy and grimy feeling.
