Like all NYX powder eye shadows, I don't find this to be particularly great quality. As others noted, it is very powdery and blends away quickly.

Having said that, it is a beautiful everyday color with enough sheen to be flattering but not shiny or glittery. Very fair skin tones may find this to be a little dark. The price is also right.

All things considered, I would buy this again. A great primer is a must if you want to get any wear out of it.

I actually got this as an exchange after being let down by the other Nyx's I purchased. This was the last one and once I bought it, I swatched it next to the stores tester and it did come out differently. That's an issue since it caused me to think I would like some colors more yet they came out much worse in the package. (New formula? What's going on?) At any rate, this is still nice enough. Darker than the tester, shimmery but not as much, and not glittery thank god. I basically am trying to replace that natural brown pink smokey look that I got from Revlon Colorstay Mineral Eyeshadow. It's a little too tame but we'll see how it fares.

Update: Been using this a lot more and I like it. It's a nice smokey color without being TOO brown or too black/grey. Warm toned. Nice compliment on me.

I use Iced Mocha as my eyeshadow base - it works great swept all over the lid under dark smokey shadows! I don't really like how it looks alone - I have yellow undertones so browns can make me look a little sickly, but it works great under every dark shadow I've used. It also helps with shadows that tend to crease (even those that crease with primer). Can't beat the price and quality of NYX shadows!

This shadow is just ok. It is verrrry powdery, so be prepared to clean up your under eye area. As much will land there as on your lid. The color is pretty, although it doent have the purple tones of satin taupe, which it is compared to. If you need a neutral, inexpensive gray/brown frosty shadow, this will do if you're patient enough to build the color and clean up the fall out. If you have the money to spend a better quality shadow, I'd recommend passing on this one.

This is my first NYX shadow and I am very impressed with the quality. It goes on smoothly, not chalky, and is buildable. I am constantly on the hunt for the perfect taupe. This one has a little sheen to it to give dimension, but it is still daytime- and work-appropriate, as well as age-appropriate for me (late 40s). I also appreciate the compact packaging. For $4.99, I will definitely be getting more colors of this brand.

I only knocked one off of packaging because the clear part of lid broke.. but you can super glue it carefully. I love the color of this.. very pretty goldish brown... last all day.. the color in packaging doesn't even show how beautiful this color really is. I LOVE IT!!!

Cherry Culture is having their 40% off ALL NYX sale right now!! NYX is known for their high quality, pigmented, soft, long wearing affordable variety of color & dupes. So I picked up a backup of this grey-brown, close enough for me DUPE of MAC Satin Taupe.

I love iced mocha! It is such a pretty neutral color. I just got it a few days ago and this is my second time wearing it. It is very pigmented and really brings out my eyes. Great price too, only $5. I will be buying more eyeshadows from NYX in the future.

this is a beautiful taupe color! we dont have nyx here in NZ so i finally sucked it up and purchased it from a website. There is a lot of product in the pan and the color is just beautiful. it can be used for a neutral day time look lightly swept across the lid or be built up with a base underneath for a night time fun look. this is great!

iced mocha is a nice neutral that contains light brown with a beige shimmer.i bought this to do a neutral eyes and to go with other colors that i have.i will probably mix it with princess pink, wich is a beautifull color as well! It is pigmented for a light brown taupe,it last long, especially with the l.a splash eye base! Really love the fact that you can use other colors with it,like:purple, pink, gold, bronze, lilac, soft green, orange, dark plum, soft pink ,nude, eye shadows! Love it!

A gorgeous neutral! I have both this and MAC's Satin Taupe - lightly swatched, they look quite similar, but NYX Iced Mocha pulls a tiny bit cooler and greyer than Satin Taupe. I actually prefer that, since I have cooler-toned skin. As far as quality goes, I don't see a huge difference between them. If I had to choose between them, I'd choose Iced Mocha, just because it is slightly cooler toned so it looks better on me.

I love using this color for a light smokey eye during the day or night. Color comes out to a taupey gray color. I love wearing this in my crease with NYx pure gold or deep bronze on my lids. Def will repurchase!

After getting some NYX taupe recs from the MU board I decided to pick this color up since it was on sale at Ulta. I love it and it's a great everyday neutral to just throw on for it goes with everything. On me it doesn't pull warm or cool and I like to use it as an all over sheer wash with a dark color used as liner. Highly recommend!

FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS!!!! I never got MAC's Moth Brown but had heard so much about it - it seems to be one of their iconic shades (and so, of course, they don't release it again!!!!) I'd heard that NYX's Iced Mocha was a very good dupe and, having looked at swatches on line, I really have to agree. I think it's a much closer dupe to Moth Brown than it is to Satin Taupe (which I do have and love and would repurchase). Iced Mocha is different from Satin Taupe when you see them side by side in the pan or swatched in front of your own eyes.

Iced Mocha is pretty much what the label says - a shimmery rich greyed brown shade that is really, really lovely. The texture is fantastic - it applies very smoothly and blends well and naturally (it's very easy to blend out the edges of this shadow). Some others have said that there is a lot of fallout with this shadow but I haven't experienced any at all. Pigmentation is great and the colour is, quite simply, very flattering. These were even on sale and so, inexpensive as they are, I saved even more. Deffo a "buy again".

I've been pretty darned pleased with almost all the NYX shadows I've purchased so far (some singles and 2 or 3 trios). I only wish more of the shadows, shadow palettes and more of the products generally were available in drugstores in Canada. Stores around me seem to carry some NYX stuff but a fairly limited line...none of the lovely "I Dream of....." shadows, no blushes or lip glosses, etc. and only a limited few dozen eye shadows.

Very nice eyeshadow, quality comparable to MAC. Looks great on blue eyes. It's a pain to find NYX in my city, that's my only complaint.

This is a good eyeshadow, especially if you consider the price, but I can't say that the quality can be compared to MAC or other mid-end or high-end brands. The pigmentation is just okay, not great IMO, and there's a lot of fallout. It's definetely not a dupe to MAC Satin Taupe - Iced Mocha is much more subtle and less shimmery. I can't say I really regret buying it because it costs about 3 or 4 dollars, but I wouldn't buy it again and from now on I'll be very careful when buying NYX eyeshadows, I'll only buy colors that are not available at MAC or new colors I want to try but don't want to spend the money on (bright colors, for example). For basic colors I'll stick to brands that offer more pigmentation. Anyway, I've heard that NYX Black is really good, even better than MAC Carbon, so maybe I'll give this one a try.

About the color, NYX Iced Mocha is a darker taupe (it's a perfect mix of brown and gray) with subtle shimmer. I think it's better for cool-toned skin, light or medium. It probably won't show up on skin tones darker than NC40.

This is a very nice shadow. The color has been described countless times, but I will add that IMO, this is not a dupe for Satin Taupe. I have no real complaints with this shadow, but at the same time, I don't love it to bits. I guess it just doesn't do that much for me. I usually wear it alone as a wash, but I recently bought Root Beer, and will have to see if I like it better with Root Beer in the crease. It's the same great quality that has gotten me hooked on NYX shadows, though, so I won't mark it down for the fact that I don't completely dig the color of it on me.

People say this is a dupe for mac satin taupe but i don'agree with it. At first i was impressed with these shadows.. well, they are very pigmented but the problem is they are very chalky and there are lots of fall outs. Will always stick with MAC.
