Will not use anything else. Perfect for my skin. Anytime I use something else I end up regretting it. Although it is expensive it lasts for 6-8 months. Worth every cent! Been using it for years.

I used this product for years and absolutely loved it. I like that it is a gentle gel cleanser that cleans my face without stripping it and doesn't add any heavy cream or oil that would clog my pores. That being said, my spa was out of stock about six months ago so I bought a St. Ives peach gel cleanser at a drugstore for $3.99 and I found it lasts just as long and is just as effective as my $75.00 bottle of Dermalogica. I like this product but will not purchase anymore.

NOTE: I have dry skin that is prone to eczema when I don't take care of it well. My cousin gave me this as her boyfriend works at Myer and receives items discounted and prior to this, I used Cetaphil's Oily skin cleanser. Yes I have dry skin but it worked well however made my skin a little dry. ANYWAY on to the Dermalogica cleanser. This thing is amazing! I use it every night in the shower to wash my face and I squirt half a pump into my palms and wash my face, rinse, then squirt another half a pump and rinse. This really gets rid of everything on my face - although I usually only wear sunscreen on a daily basis and when I do wear makeup I wipe it off before washing my face. This thing not only effectively cleans my face but it also doesn't leave my face super dry and "stripped". I also feel that it has reduced the number of pimples I get (however I'm not prone to pimples naturally so it may or may not be because of this). All in all, this cleanser is fabulous and people with dry skin - don't be afraid to use this! (may not be suitable for those with extremely dehydrated skin).

I have oily/acne-prone/sensitive skin but it is also dehydrated, so its always been really hard for me to find the right skincare.

After using a sample sachet of this cleanser, I was immediately impressed and I knew I had to buy it. I had been using Artistry's Balancing Cleanser for over 3 years which worked well because it was gentle but did nothing special for my skin otherwise.

Special Cleansing Gel is a clear gel that foams up with water. I wet my face and put a pea-sized amount into wet hands and turn it into a foamy lather, then I apply it to my face in circular motions for a minute to get a good clean and rinse off with water.

My skin is left feeling really clean but not tight whatsoever, my skin feels hydrated which is what I love about it compared to anything I've tried before. It really does have that 'cooling' effect, which helps the redness from my breakouts settle down.

It has a very natural scent to it, a slight bit of lavender and something else I cant put my finger on but its a very pleasant scent which doesn't really appeal to me but doesn't turn me off either. I bought it in 500ml, which comes with a pump that makes it really easy to dispense the perfect amount of product. Dermalogica is an expensive brand but for the price of their large bottles you really get a lot that will last 1 year+.

So far with continued use my skin has really turned around from what it was and is finally looking more calm and clearer! Really happy I got the chance to sample this product as I've found a great cleanser for my skin type.

Simply THE BEST CLEANSER Ever known to man!
This facial cleanser totally rocks! I love how it thoroughly cleanses my face daily and doesn't make my face swell up, break out, or tight by any means. The ingredients are great and the results are awesome. I love how great my face looks and feels after using this gel. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!

Definitely my HG cleanser: This, in combination with the PreCleanse and Daily Microfoliant, are my new cannot-live-without. My skin has stopped breaking up completely; this cleanser is not harsh like most, does not dry my skin like most use to, but still fells cleanse and soft. Spectacular!

I love this cleanser. It is the only wash-off cleanser that works for my sensitive combo skin. The trick is to use very little product (less than a pea-size dab), foam it up with your hands and then wash your face with the foam. Not with the gel itself! By using SCG like this, it is the best cleanser ever. Removes dirt and makeup very effectively. Sometimes I might double-cleanse with this cleanser or with Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse. When I use SCG my skin is dewy, soft and healthy. When I try other wash-off cleansers my skin tends to dry out.

I'm almost done my first bottle of this product and I have to say I'm quite satisfied. I use this cleanser on a daily basis with my clarasonic. I like how it doesn't tighten my skin (doesn't strip away moisture) and it foams up just to the right amount. I also like how the fragrance is mild and isn't overpowering.

Maybe it's the combination of removing all traces of make up and using the clarasonic together, I find that my skin is a lot cleaner afterwards.

I would recommend this product to others and would rebuy!

It doesn't irritate the skin or strip it from moisture. However it can't remove even light makeup completely and is hard to wash out from skin because it's quite concentrated. It smells of plain soap which isn't pleasant but isn't horrible either. I've been using my sample on the mornings and don't plan to buy it.

I ran out of my Korres White Tea cleanser the other day and Ulta was all sold out of it and I desperately needed a cleanser. I tried this out of curiosity and I've been using it for two days now I believe. It is wonderful. I love the smell, I love the foam, I love everything about it. The price isn't too bad in my opinion. I haven't noticed too much of a difference in my acne or my oil production since I've only been using this on my face for a couple of days now but so far, so good. I would recommend this to at least people with oily skin. Not sure about people with dry or combo skin but definitely oily skin, this will work on it very well.

I bought the whole set of this brand after hearing how good it is for acne prone skin. the normal/oily kit: Special Cleansing Gel (1.7 oz), Multi-Active Toner (1.7 oz), Active Moist (0.75 oz), Skin Prep Scrub (0.75 oz), Total Eye Care (0.1 oz), Skin Refining Masque (sample), PreCleanse (sample)
I did not dare to try the sample!
Dear God, I really wanna go back to the counter and ask for my money back.
After 2 weeks diligently followed this regiment, I got a full blow acnes. Not the usual type I already had, the type that my doctor said due to cosmetic allergy which means they come in thousand all over your face!! I tried to convince myself it would work after sometime, stupid me, all the sign were there: peeling off skin, redness, pore look like wrinkles....I took me a whole month with doctor treatment to recover.
This is so far the worst product I ever use. The whole set of it.
Better stay away, girls!

Gentle, non-irritating, non-drying, and you get a lot for the price. A little goes a long way. I use this with a muslin cloth, and my skin is perfect. I like to try new skincare products all the time, but this is one I've been sticking with indefinitely.

When I first started using this product it made my skin dry at the areas around my mouth, skin started flaking. This wasn't very nice, but now I'm glad I didn't give up on this thing!
I continued using it even if it had the not so wished effects on my skin (seems kind off stupid now when I'm writing it), and after a week my skin wasn't flaking anymore. So now, only the pros with this product remains; I love the cooling feeling and soft lather!
I don't think the smell is to bad eather. Smells lavendel, I think.
Overall, it's a great product. The price is rather high, but a little goes a long way.

It's completely average. It doesn't make it any worse but it certainly didn't improve or clear my complexion whatsoever, which I was disappointed about because I heard so many great reviews about it. It's pretty gentle, smells OK, but isn't a wonder product. Definitely not worth the price.

Since I work at a wholesale distributor that is contracted with Dermalogica, I had our sales consultant skin map me to this cleanser. I love it! I was previously using Purpose by J&J, which I never really had a problem with, but I wanted to start a routine with items from the same brand.

I use Precleanse before SCG and it all gets the job done. I use probably a dime size amount or less of cleanser. I've never had dry skin or broke out from this.. it's just enough to regulate my skin. I like that it's scentless, too. I follow up with Antioxidant Hydramist from the Age Smart line and the Active Moist as a moisturizer to combat my oilier parts.

I had high expectations for this product but it is a bit of a let down. It has left my skin very exceptionally dry, itchy and rough. I normally have oily but soft skin so this can only be down to the product. I had my skin mapped by a skin consultant so my package was tailor made. Plus i am coming out in spots again very unusal for my skin. The product is very expensive and is not value for money. I will not be using it again. Very disappointing as a lot of my friends use the product and have provided very good reviews aside from the pricing issue!!

I cannot live without this cleanser ever. I've suffered from both occasional pimples as well as dryness and this keeps both at bay - it never dries my skin out, and it cleans my skin thoroughly. I've tried every cleanser available from every brand and I will always go back to dermalogica.
