It's pretty, but the texture is hard to blend and the color payoff is quite poor. My least favorite Mac shadow I have even though when you do get it on and blended it can look amazing

I think MAC carries one the best arrays of blue shades. The entire blue to green spectrum can be found in their line.

Deep Truth is a metallic deep true blue shade. I don't find it to have any other underlying tones. It's totally and utterly blue <3

Normally am a brown smoky eye kindda girl, but I bought this since I wanted something to break the pattern and am glad I got it.

The pigmentation is good, you need to pack it though and blend it out well since it can get a bit patchy. I didn't experience much fallout with this one. And blending is just a teeny bit difficult. But the awesomeness of the color makes it all worth it. I think it's not just a shade you can easily find. Blue shades are usually hit or miss. This one's definitely hit!

I've paired this with shades like Print, Typographic and Carbon but I'm really looking forward to trying it out as a liner as well as with purple shades cuz I think it'll be drop dead gorgeous!

You can also layer Deep Truth on top of a white pencil eyeshadow like NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk...it'll just give it this wonderful dimension and brightness ;)

I am NW15 with light brown eyes and blonde hair. I like to do a neutral eye (Shroom on lid, Omega in crease) then using a wet 266 brush, I line my upper & lower lashlines in Deep Truth. Blues and purples really compliment brown eyes. I feel like you need to use it wet to get the truest vibrancy.

No matter how I used this it seemed to apply patchy and uneven. It is a gorgeous deep blue shimmer with medium pigmentation. Needs to be patted on, and would probably work best when wet. It isn't as intense as it looks in the pan.
(Wet n Wild blue had me at hello palette has a dupe of this in it that i think is better than the original).

I am completely in love with this wonderful dark blue eyeshadow. It has a frosty finish and no pictures I have seen so far can begin to describe the sparkling blue awesomeness going on in this product!

One of my favorite blues, a staple in my collection everyone should own this color. This shadow looks gorgeous on us deep chocolate women. Deep truth is a dark sultry blue but NOT black based it's ALMOST a navy blue. The pigmentation is great, applies evenly, doesn't fade & blends with no effort. This shadow is true to color from the pan to the lids. I'm Mac matchmaster 8.5.

This is a beautiful deep blue. I love the complexity of the colour and the texture is one of the better ones MAC has produced. I often pair this with MAC brick in the crease for a burnt orange/deep blue eye (fyi brown eyes, NC15). A great MAC shadow!

Deep Truth on my eyes is like a dark midnight blue i like to use it on my lid and across my lower lash line, then contrast blended into the crease for a dark smokey eye! Absolutely love it <3

Deep Truth is the truth. It is a gorgeous, dark blue with sheen and hints of duochrome. I am a yellow-toned GGG NC 25-35. I never really cared for blue eyeshadow until I saw Awilda use this. I tried to use it in a jewel-tone eye like she did. Then I smudged it in my lower lash line as a liner and discovered its true beauty.

I used to really like Blooz eyeliner but it's very dark so the blue doesn't show as much as Deep Truth. It is also a Kohl and runs. But Deep Truth makes my brown eyes sparkle and looks so gorgeous and interesting on the lower lash line.

Edit: I recently mixed this with red and dark grey and it makes the most gorgeous purple I've seen.

I love this colour i use it as a smokey eye with Contrast by MAC on the outer corners. I apply a black eyeliner on my lids first then i stipple this on and then blend looks amazing.

This is a beautiful shade of blue and it shows up nicely on my skintone. The finish is frosy the MAC artist use this as a crease color on me. The only downside is a dark and rich as it looks in the pan it's not that way on my eyelids. I still used carbon to darken up this blue when I use it on my crease.

Deep Truth is a lovely true blue with great pigmentation and easy to blend. We brown eyed girls have trouble with many blue shadows, but I can wear this easily. I went to the MAC counter for a true blue and was sold Contrast but it didn't do it for me - pulled violet. So I switched for Deep Truth and so glad I did. I use it for the "V" and the outer third of the lid and under the eye outer corner blended for a little eyeliner color. Beautiful deep true blue. One of MAC's best shadows.

This eyeshadow is a beautiful colour, formula and finish.

Not sure why blue eyeshadow has such a bad name when if its used properly it can be great. My favourite way to use this is as a blue smokey eye deep truth on the lid with contrast in the crease for a night out . Or worn on the lid alone is suitable for day looks.

Very pigmented, frost finish vibrant navy blue with lighter blue microshimmer
Cannot complain about the formula, easy to work with/blend and has a good pay-off.
Works so well as a blue smokey eye with greys

However it is quite a hard colour to pull off, it's dark and can look quite harsh

This is a beautiful dark deep blue color with a smooth formula. It is very pigmented and with the proper e/s base will last all day. I have dark brown eyes and this really brings them out. I usually use it as a liner with MAC All That Glitters as an all over wash. This e/s is not for the faint-hearted it takes a light hand and the color will show up. I'm also between NC35 and NC40 and find this works well with my coloring. A def must have for everyone.

The color itself is gorgeous and goes on rather smoothly but this particular shadow just isn't for me. One of the MAC MUAs put this on my along with Sketch, Haux, and Dazzlelight and out of all the colors, this one was my least favorite. I kept it because I could probably use it for performances but really, I would only use it on my outer-v. It is by no means an everyday color but if you can get it to work for your eyes, then go for it. It's a lovely color and its a bummer I can't rock it.

The color is pretty nice if you're into blues and the quality is good.
I bought it because I really liked the color in the pan but I have to say I hardly use it. I have very light blue eyes and I find the color too harsh for me.
If I want to go for a blue, I prefer to pick contrast which gives a nice smoky effect on my blue eyes.
Deep truth on the entire lid makes me look like a clown and for the outer v I prefer to use Contrast.
So I wouldn't repurchase it as I hardly used the one I have. However I think it would look good on hazel or brown/black eyes.

I'm a complete neutrals girl but I adored this beautiful shade so much that I had to have it anyway. There are a number of ways you can use this shade, which I'd describe as cool-toned metallic dark blue with a slight purple undertone:
- As a subtle daytime eye with a duochrome effect, put Silver Ring all over the lid (another must-have shade, it's absolutely to die for!) then apply Deep Truth to the crease line, outer corner and upper lashline. Blend like mad all over with a 217 and you get a gorgeous blue/purple/grey duochrome (triplechrome?!) effect that is very subtle at the same time.
- You can add Black Tied to the outer corner of the above to make it darker and more dramatic for night.
- You can blend Deep Truth with other MAC blue shades to get a bright youthful look. Very funky.
- Likewise, it'd look fab blended with purples.
- Make a dark smokey party eye by using a matt grey such as Print, or a vivid silver like Electra on the lid, with Deep Truth blended over the outer part of the lid/ outer v, and black smudgey liner.
Basically, despite being blue which is normally a scary colour to work with, Deep Truth is very versatile and you can also get a subtle look with it. I find it very easy to work with, its nicely pigmented but not scarily so, so you don't end up looking like you've been punched! Blends easily and meshes well with lots of different other shadows.
Thumbs up.

I have mixed feelings.

It looks beautiful in the pan but I wished it retained more of the true blue sheen when applied to the eye. It ends up looking near-black when used in my crease unless it's used with other blue eyeshadows (and still it's a dark navy at best).

The pigmentation is okay and I find it easy to blend actually. Two lippies off for the colour not being true to pan on the eye and pigmenttion.
