I really like Hipnotique. I find it works as a simple sheer matt wash and also paired with a darker crease color and eyeliner for a more evening look. It is one of only two aqua blue colors I own, the other one is almost the same but with lots of shimmer. I like this on my coloring, FFF neutral, although I imagine it'd be beautiful on someone darker.

Would repurchase but not for a while, as I use this very sparingly mostly for daytime looks.

I like this shadow on the lid paired with Deep Truth int he crease, and Unorthodox and nylon in the brow. Very pretty look

I think this eyeshadow probably looks best on darker skin tones since it is relatively light. It worked okay for me being a MMM. A light paint is essential under this eyeshadow... probably like MAC's bare canvas or maybe even pixel (oooh! that sounds good!). It also looks great paired with something with more zing like parrot e/s or fade, and probably bright pinks and purples too. It's basically a very matte light seafoam color. Pretty in the pot, but can be iffy for some skin tones.

Hipnotique is a very bright soft aqua with slight shimmer. I don't reach for it often but when I do it doesn't disappoint. The satin finish I find a little harder to work with, but I'm able to pack it on and the end result is worth it. This is a great spring/summer color.

For some reason I love this very pale, sky blue color. It is semi matte but has a beautiful sheen to it so that it doesn't look boring. This and enchantress lipglass are my summer look this year.

I went down to the CCO today and this color just stuck out among the rest. In the pot it looks like an aqua color but on my eyes, it looks pretty much like a robins egg blue. Usually I can't pull off blue eyeshadow with my blue eyes but this color really makes them pop.

I'm really torn on MAC eye shadows in general. I love the colour selection, and they do have lots of unique colours, like Hipnotique, but the quality of the eye shadow itself is lacking. Hipnotique is a gorgeous light aqua/ sky blue hybrid with very light shimmer. Unfortunately, this one takes layers and layers to get adequate pigmentation, then four hours later is begins to crease and fade away (just like my other MAC shadows.) My $1.99 Wet 'n' Wild eye shadows perform better than this. I got this at the CCO for $9.25 I give Hipnotique a four for being a beautiful colour, and in theory I would repurchase because of that reason, but do wish that MAC shadows were of higher quality.

Hipnotique is a soft aqua colour with shimmer. It looks really pretty on my blue eyes. The Satin formula goes on smoothly, and has good staying power. I will repurchase this colour. Me: N1/NC15, blue eyes, blonde hair.

I have found a new love, this is the very best e/s to use as aliner, really makes you eyes pop, dramatic and elegant at the same time.

This is a light tealy blue which makes it great for brown/hazel eyes, which I happen to have. I use this as a wash, it normally takes about 2 layers for the color to show like it is in the pot (and thats w/ a base) but the color once on is well worth the extra sweeping motion! (for u lazies out there lol)

This is my first MAC eyeshadow and I have to say I really like the color. The staying power is all right-it's not the best in the world. However, the light aqua blue color is what got me. It looks really nice on my brown eyes and I can layer it for more color or apply sheerly for just a hint of light blue. I'd repurchase it, although I might instead try the Seascape quint from Dior because it has some interesting colors as well.

This is my favourite eyeshadow from the hipnotique collection. An aqua teal, this is not normally the colour I would go for but it is so pretty and springish that I had to! It looks great in the crease with deep truth on the lid and as a liner for the smoky look or around the other way for a daytime look. I normally wouldnt think this would suit my blue/grey/greenish eyes but it brings out the blue so they dont look so grey and blegh!. I like this with enchantress lipglass.

A really gorgeous minty/aqua greenish color. Its lighter than Aquadisiac w/out the glitter. Once applied it looks really similar to Brill w/o the frost. It works so lovely with Deep Truth! I love this e/s so much!

This color *really* didn't work for me. I was expecting it to be a light baby blue, but it's not at all. It looks like a light seafoam green shade in the pot but it goes on BRIGHT (at least on me). No matter how lightly I tried to apply it, it just looked awful on me. I had to return it.

I wasn't planning to buy this on my Hipnotique spree, but I just couldn't pass it up after seeing how pretty it looked with the other colors, and it seemed perfect for Spring! Looks more green on me than in the pot, but a beautiful color nonetheless.

I really like this shadow...and usually I dont go for teal, mint green, blue green type colors. If I had to describe this could I would call it a baby teal or mint. I love how blendable and easy to work with its satin formula is. Generally colors like this only look good with brown eyes but it really plays up my blue eyes. Also its GREAT in the crease. I'm impressed.

As a blue-eyed PPP I usually steer clear of bluish-toned eye shadow. But I'm feeling more daring now & venturing into experimenting with more colors. This is sort of an aqua-blue mixed with mint green. Goes on very sheerly & even has tiny sparkles in it. So pretty for spring & summer. Love it with Deep Truth.

I just got this e/s yesterday. I have lots of MAC eyeshadows. It looked an awful lot like Aquadisiac. When I compared the two, they were almost identical, except Hipnotique does not have the large chunks of glitter which is nice. LOVE this color! I was already in love with Aquadisiac too.
