I love using Celestial under my makeup. This is a pretty heavy product in my experience, so if you have oily skin it may not be a good choice. But on my dry, flaky patch prone face, this product is perfect. I apply a thin layer to clean skin, toned skin, and it never feels greasy. My foundation blends beautifully and smoothly over my dry patches and my face feels comfortable and moisturized all day. There's a slight sweet vanilla scent too, like vanilla extract, which I love.

This used to be my absolute favourite moisturizer. I love the consistency of it, the smell (think light and creamy vanilla and almond yogurt)... However, when I stopped using it, I noticed my break outs cleared up. Be careful as this moisturizer has both cocoa butter (comedogenic) and fatty alcohols (not bad, but some people break out because of them). Other than that, this is a perfectly delightful moisturizer for sensitive skin, and smells amazing!

Apply this with a light hand! Its consistency is very thin, but the stuff itself is very moisturising. I shouldn't be reviewing this since I have extremely oily skin and it leaves me with a wet sheen on my face - but I recieved a sample of this when ordering online, and despite it not being for my skin type, I thought that it was a decent product.

The smell is quite nice - nuts and vanilla. Use this sparingly. It calmed a little bit of redness on my face - sunburn mixed with a red glow that has been with me ever since my face began speeding up its cursed oil machines.
Oily skinned people, steer clear of this product during the daytime, unless you like looking like you've directly applied coconut oil to your face!

I was excited by the idea of using all natural products, and I eagerly bought LUSH's 9-to-5 cleansing lotion, a small chunk of Coalface, and this moisturizer. All in all, I was quite positively biased before I started using it.

Likes: The smell is a bit yogurty, a very pleasant vanilla.

Dislikes: It does go on feeling a bit oily, hence I would only need to spread a daub of it very thinly over my face. The container is a bit inconvenient, I would much prefer a lotion-style or pump-bottle container, and this made a bit of a mess in my suitcase when I travelled.

I've been using it for about three months, and I attributed my irritated face to the climate (I had also just moved), but after I went back home for the holidays and I was forced to use a (different) moisturizer until I got back, I realized that this moisturizer was actually the one that had been inflaming my face. As such, I will not be buying this product again, and I do not recommend it.

Great moisturiser! Looks like a thin consistency in the tub but you only need a pea sized amount for the whole face because of how thick and rich it is. I recommend using as a night time cream as it lets it sink into your skin. Sometimes I only use this under my eyes at night times because it is so heavy and use a different light weight moisturiser on the rest of my face because it is getting hotter at night in Australia.

I'm on my third Celestial tub now and there are a few things I wanna say about it:
First, anyone saying it is a light-weight moisturizer has no idea what they're saying. The consistency itself is thinner than it seems, but after putting it on it is a heavy moisturizer. I can't put this product on in the morning because it just leaves a film of oil that makes any makeup you put on afterwards unbelievably shiny and unable to sink into your skin.

The best way of using it is sparingly and at night - almost like a night-time treatment. In the winters of Canada, this product is an absolute must. I dab it on very dry spots like around the nose and eyebrows and sparingly use it around the rest of my face (sometimes thinning it out by putting it on a damp face). I almost always wake up with a baby supple face that doesn't require moisturizer to put on my makeup. I'd also recommend to let the moisturizer sit a bit before you sleep...The oils on the moisturizer build up faster on your pillows and I've woken up a few times with a big pimple on the side that I slept on...Rather than wash my sheets twice as much as I usually do I just read a book in bed for a bit.

Celestial is a light weight moisturizer. It smell like vanilla bean and very moisturizing , doesn't feel thick and heavy on the skin. Celestial is very mild with the least ingredients in this cream. Celestial is great for sensitive skin, combination dry skin, but not for very oily skin. I bought for my 17 years old daughter also. She very happy with Celestial cream.

Love this! My skin is dry on the cheeks and oily in the t-zone (acneprone on chin and cheeks) and this works great for me!

My skin is dry, sensitive, and slightly prone to acne (if I don't treat it right).
I don't use any make-up (EVER), so I don't know if you could use this moisturizer underneath your make-up!
I really like this moisturizer. I does what it says, it gives my face moistuire without uppsetting the skin! And a little goes a long way, so this will last me forever, which makes celestial very inexpensive!
However, it does leave a layer of oils on top of the face (the thinnest layer..) which the CONTAINER says it will do! This is good for my really dry skin, protecting it from harsh weather and such.
If you don't want that protective layer, just take a towel and lightly pat the oils of. My skin feels supersoft and smooth after i've used this.
I give it 4/5 because of the thin layer it leaves on top of my skin.

Pros:
- really cheap
- a little goes a long way
- good for sensitive skin
- gives face moistuire
- Doesn't make my face break-out.
- easy to wash off (just use water)

cons:
- not for oily skin
- might leave a thin layer on top off your face
- takes a while to sink into the skin
- probably not suitable to use underneath make-up

I'm so glad I gave this a go! It is a gentle and promising moisturiser that glides on, keeps the skin plump and moisturised without an oily sheen. It's excellent for my combination skin. Also, the scent is very light I picked up hints of vanilla bean. I like this even more than my Avene Rich Hydrating Cream now.

While the tub is fun to use and cute I think I might prefer the cream in a pump bottle for hygiene reasons and for a consistent amount to be dispensed every time I use it.
