This product is AMAZING!
I work in a hospital and infection control meant that my hands are often subjected to harsh antibacterial handwash and alcohol gel. When I started my clinical attachment, I suffered from rather severe dermatitis on my hands which resulted in some scarring. I tried many different hand creams: E45, Aveeno etc.. Nothing helped! Finally, a friend recommended this hand cream and it has worked wonders for me right from the first time I used it. It is absorbed really well into the skin, stays there (I usually only apply it twice a day) and doesn't leave the hands oily at all! My scars have faded and my hands look much better now. Definitely a HG product!

This is by far the BEST hand cream I have ever used - and I have tried sooooo many! It is a bit on the expensive side but a little goes a long way and it is definitely worth every cent.
I dries into your skin quite quickly and it doesn't leave you with a sticky feeling on your hands which I found most moisture rich creams do.
This hand cream is really amazing and I would recommended this cream to anyone who has really dry hands to ones who just wants some moisture. I am inl ove and I will buy this product forever and ever and ever... I don't go anywhere without it.

I love, love, love this product! The first time I tried it at a Kiehls store I was put off by the medicinal smell but the sales lady assured me that the smell settled off pretty quickly, which it did. I use it faithfully during the winter months and it keeps my skin well hydrated, my nail cuticles are even healthier since I've started using this cream. It is pricy but totally worth the splurge. This hand lotion is one of Kiehls best sellers for a reason.

amazing hand cream, i love the texture so much, so thick for super dry skin and very moist, enough to be a barrier hand cream and keeps cuticles and nails protected and moisturized. i wish they would take out the parabens in the cream so i could use it as my holy grail hand cream. the scent is fresh and minty, very good.

if this hand lotion wasn't so expensive, i would stock up on this product because it's amazing. haha. picked this up while indulging at kiehl's one day and loved it! i keep it in my purse every day, and the previous reviews i have read on this product are true: u can wash/rinse ur hands and ur hands still feel moisturized. the smells is neutral, almost medicinal which i have no problems with. and the consistency is perfect. ideally my holy grail hand lotion, but just way too much $$ for an every day product that i'd quickly run out of because i enjoy it that much. i do recommend this product if u're looking for a very moisturizing hand lotion that will last u through multiple hand washes

Good hand cream. It leaves my hand soft and hydrated after application. Even better, i can wash my hands couple of times without re-apply the cream. Definitely will buy again after run out.

The results I achieved in the midst of winter with quite dry and chapped hands are unfortunately only temporary. The cream does moisturize and forms a protective layer without feeling greasy, thatīs true. But so do many others. What I didnīt like is the quite medicinal smell, even though it disappears after few minutes. I would prefer it much more if the cream was unscented. I find the price too high for the results I get with other, cheaper brands - and more pleasant or no scent. So I wonīt buy again.

This hand cream is pretty great. I wash my hands 15+ times a day (working in a day care) so my hands get very dry. It does a pretty great job of keeping my hands moisturized for several hours, but it does not last all day. I need quite a few applications for my dry hands. It has a slight medicinal smell, but that does not bother me.

I am on the fence with this Kiehl's product.
It is not a bad hand cream: utilitarian, unisex packaging, availability in two sizes (got a bigger 150 ml one for Ģ19 in Kiehl's new boutique in Edinburgh), inoffensive, very weak smell but as to the performance, I still have to be persuaded by its superpowers.
It is not sticky, which is great, it does not leave marks on my nice Macbook Pro keyboard ;) but it does not seem to leave any protective residue either and it does not hydrate my cuticles well enough though at the same time it does not seem to dull the colour of my dark red nail polish as many other hand creams do.
To sum things up, I will use this ginormous package thoughout autumn and winter but I will not repurchase when it finishes.

To start off, I'll just say that I don't have particularly dry hands but I do live in an area with severe winters.
This is a no-fuss type of hand cream that does what it says it will. It is moisturizing, absorbs quickly and is non greasy. It has a light eucalyptus scent which goes away after a while. The price is a bit high but around the same cost of other high quality hand creams. The packaging is simple and functional.
Its not that I don't like this hand cream, I just prefer something that feels/smells a little more luxurious. I've been using Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams for years which feel a lot silkier and smell a lot nicer so that's just my preference. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a no-fuss, non-girly type of cream.

Ohhhhhhh this is good stuff. The Tampa airport happened to have a mini Kiehls store and I felt like parting with some of my money. They let me try it before buying. It's a very thick cream, but also absorbs very well (a dab will do ya.. you only need a pea sized amount).
I've tried a slew of hand lotions (Neutrogena, Eucerin, Suave, Aveeno, Curel...) and this is one of the best. Ironically I'd say the second best is a Suave hand lotion that they no longer make (~$3). Sigh. Yes this one is pricier than the other ones, but not by that much. I spend $14. Neutrogena/other brands can be around $8.

HG hand cream. I love this stuff. I get contact dermatitis quite often so need something really heavy duty.
It's not greasy, nor does it have a distracting or bad scent.
Yes, it is really expensive, but I am willing to pay the price as it's so good. If you suffer from extremely dry hands, give this one a go, you won't regret it.

I've used this hand cream on and off for the past year along with Jack Black's Hand Healer cream, but never realized just how effective Kiehl's hand cream is until my recent business trip to NYC. Whenever I travel to non-humid places, my skin has the tendency to get very dry from the hotel soap. To make things worse, I tend to wash my hands a lot and use hand sanitizer, so my hands were extremely chapped and dry, to the point that they felt sandpaper-like. In desperation, I looked up where the nearest Kiehl's store was in NYC, and went to buy the hand salve. That evening, I used the hand salve several times, making sure to massage the salve well into my hands. Miraculously, the next day my hands weren't chapped or dry anymore! I used the hand salve throughout the rest of my trip and thankfully it worked extremely well. I will remain faithful to this hand salve now that I've seen just how effective it iis.

Absolutely brilliant! Sinks in easily and doesn't leave my hands greasy, I even like the smell. Kiehl's generous (30ml) sized trial tube is perfect for my handbag too. A winner all round :)

Best for my dry winter hands. I like the way it smells too--kind of neutral/medicinal/olive-oily. Its hydration lasts and lasts on me; a real difference. The small tube is easy to keep in multiples at home and work. Simple, kind of expensive, and very effective.

Update: I purchased a full size for my mom, and I was suprised that she didn't rave about it, she said it was ok. I was like hmmm...so I visited this last weekend and I tried it. Um this is NOT what I had in the sample! I was like I'm sorry mom this is horrible, I totally got a sample of this and my hands were velvety...this full size is just garbage.
I got a sample of this and i tried it for the first time last night. Let me say...OMG! I felt like I woke up with a brand new set of hands and feet this morning. Amazing!! I knew this was something I just have to purchase full size because even AFTER I washed my hands and went about my day my hands were STILL so SOFT! Love it! Although its my first try, I will definatley update if there are an adverse effects. But so far none! This might be HG...

I have fair skin and reynaud's syndrome which leaves me with dry, red hands. I bought this 2 days ago and am amazed at the improvement - skin is a more even colour and texture.
The quality of the packaging is poor - I had to return the first tube as the hinge was broken. And, at this price, that's unacceptable.
But the results so far are stunning. Hope to see more over the next few days.
