This eyeliner is pretty good. Doesn't seem to run, and stays on most of the day. I will purchase again.

I was disapointed with this eyeliner as its not cheap.Plus sides packaged and product itself is well made and it comes with a smudger on one end and a refill.

On applying the product i was immediatly very pleased it gave a nice intense black. But its staying power is rubbish!,within an hr it was all smudged and half off .

So would definetly not purchase again.

My favourite eyeliner!!! Being using it for years now! Easy to apply, great look and it lasts all day!!! Bonus thing is you can just buy the refill!! Can’t believe it’s only got a 3.3 rating – deserves a better rating!!

For a product that doesn't claim to be long wearing, this eyeliner is surprislingly long wearing! I love how smoothly it goes on, and the smudger comes in handy too.

Beautiful, dark, flattering when you first apply. A few hours later, most of it has mysteriously disappeared and what is left is smeared beneath your eye like an unflattering gray moon. Disappointing.

Makes me look awfull 10 mins after application. I look like a racoon no matter how I try.. The color is a nice black and the price is ok since you get 2 for the price of one but I don't even know what to do with my two barely used eyeliners.. Probably will give as a gift to someone I don't really like:))

Goes on smoothly without pulling my eyelid. The attached smudger makes it easy to smudge and blend, though after a few seconds it is hard to smudge. I've experienced no problems with this migrating, but I don't really have oily eyelids. It does stay on very well through a workout for something which isn't difficult to remove. In fact it removes very easily compared to many I've tried. I like that it is refillable. My price rating of 3 is due to that. I do wish I could sharpen it, thus 4 lippies out of 5.

I find that the Estee Lauder eyeliner is extremely reasonably priced and it slides on to my eye easily. Also, the eyeliner comes with a free refill, so you get two for the price of one! Plus, when switching out and buying a refill, the refill is a measly $12.50! After trying out many brands (including Chanel, Mac, Prescrptives, and Lancome) I've never really found anything better.

I got this from my mum. She bought it, but she never really used it.. So I took it from her :D So, yeah, I don't really know how much it costs :D

I loove it.. It glides on easily, and I don't need to pull or whatever (unlike the other ones I've used before).. The only problem is the fact that it smudges quite easily, and it is rather hard to remove especially if u like putting ur liner in between ur lashes (which is what I do :P)

Overall, I would prob buy it again (or maybe ask mum to buy it for me :P)

Can you say, "RIP OFF!" And this gal who gripes "RIP OFF" is a "repeat offender" buying/purchasing this eyeliner more than once. SHAME, SHAME! Lauder has some pretty colors to choose from and that's why I "caved" and purchased these. The amount of eyeliner in those TINY re-fills is what I refer to as "highway robbery." And I got "robbed," not once, but twice, self-inflicted this I know. I am not a fan of the automatic eyeliner's to begin with (red flag waving, girl ignores) and I found that even with practice using these liners it was difficult to apply to personal preference, i.e., thin line, thick line. It was to creamy of a texture for me and always smudged at the slightest increase in temperature body and/or weather. I have since long ago said goodbye to these liners and won't be looking back, ever! Thumbs wayyy down on these liners.

Bought this product because I liked the color but I should have checked with MakeupAlley first--the other reviewers are right--it smears when it goes on. It also doesn't go on evenly and is difficult to see once it is on. The only good news: it was easy to apply--didn't tug at my skin and was easy to get off (which is probably the same reason it smears easily.)

I got pushed into buying this when I went to the Estee Lauder counter. I had tried their other eyeliners and liked them so I thought that it would be the same. Boy, was I wrong! I loved the idea of the packaging and that I could buy refills and other tools to put on the end if I wanted to. I bought the charcoal and it tugged and pulled - it did not go on smooth at all. So, I went and bought the jet black refill for it and it went on like butter, which I found to be weird. But, with both of them, they smeared all over shortly after I put it on. Besides the packaging, I am not happy with this product. It should be a lot better especially for the price of 23.50.

Ok, so the packaging of this eyeliner was really nice. But one major big concern about it is that it smears really really quickly. Like 10 minutes later, it's all under my eyes already. And when I got to school, it was even worse. People were asking why I had raccoon eyes!!

i loved the concept that this eyeliner was a mechanical one that came with refills but it smears like crazy. ive had drugstore brand eyeliners that worked better than this =( very disappointed.

Perhaps my eye pencil was a dud, because I purchased it from a makeup outlet store in the Cabazon.

The application is really smooth and the color is vivid, but 10-15 minutes later it's smeared and melted off. It wasn't even hot that day. I might as well have used a ball point pen. I used the pencil to outline my top and bottom lid. The bottom lid completely smeared and the top was fading already in color.

But maybe mine was just a dud, if I read a lot more reviews that claim it has good holding power, then I'll just take this review down.

Sigh- I had a holder for this and then they redesigned the whole contraption a couple years ago to fit fatter refills. Still, there is something to be said for not having to sharpen. I have sensitive eyes. If a miniscule piece of wood gets near my lashes or onto the skin by my lashes, I am in trouble, bothered by invisible grit I try to get out of my eye, but can not see because it is too small. No sharpening leaves less irritated eyes. So this is a grail by default.

I like this liner because it glides right on and doesn't stretch the skin around my eyes. It also comes with a refill, so the price really isn't bad. My favorite color is the Plum Grey, which is hard to find. A nice breakaway from black.
