I received this body lotion (32 oz) and shower gel set for Christmas last year and they've been my staple ever since! The consistency of this lotion is just perfect - neither too heavy nor too light. It's also moisturizing enough without being greasy. My skin tends to be on the drier side, especially during the winter, and this lotion has helped my skin stay nicely moisturized :) It has a fresh, clean, pleasant, very light floral scent, which sits very well with me because I'm one who can't stand heavy scents at all. The scent kinda reminds me of baby powder. This was my first ever bottle of Philosophy and I've come to really love the Amazing Grace line. The price is quite steep for me but I find it worth the splurge as this body will last me for awhile from using it daily. I will definitely be re-purchasing when I run out! :)

i don't believe this has any firming properties, but the scent actually lasts longer on my skin than the edp.

Ok so I've read reviews here all the way back to 2009 and I'd like to make a note about the chemical scent: Yes it's lotion, and chemicals SETTLE over time. As in, while the bottle sits around, it's chemicals shift to the bottom of it. SHAKE YOUR BOTTLE. The scent will be different and the "chemical" scent gone. Not sure why no one ever thought of this.

Second, this product contains some of the same ingredients as Rodial Boob Job, there is a reviewer who discussed this a couple pages back. My friend who recommended this product has been using it on her breasts and it works very well to firm them up. That being said, I'm sure this product would work well on breasts and probably buttocks, but I just bought this yesterday so I'll have to update my review later on.

So far, the moisture holds very well, and yes it is not greasy at all. The scent is a clean one, like just just dried laundry, with a slight sweetness.

I always buy this from sephora when I get a gift card because it's so expensive. this is my favourite lotion. my favourite scent. Very nice creamy consistency. Not greasy, just perfect. The scent lasts all day. I always get compliments when I wear it. The only cons are the price and the pump. The pump doesn't work very well. The trick is to unscrew it then pump.

I have the large pump bottle of this! I just love it! Myskin always feels so nice when i use it,,I think it smells great too..fresh and clean! Sometimes I have diluted it with an unscented lotion but only if its super warm out or if its before bed. I have worn AG on and off for about 10 years ( wow a long time!) Now I only buy the smallest bottle of the perfume and the largest of this lotion. The scent stays with me all day :) Beautiful!

I love this lotion! 6 weeks ago I broke my ankle and had surgery and now I'm in one of those walking boots. The skin around my ankle and half way up my leg was so dry I couldn't even shave. I tried and it was like the razor shredded my skin and it bled and bled. Skin was so dry that I could peel it off. Finally I can stand to touch my foot and move it around some so last night I used this lotion on it twice. It's amazing the results I got. The dry skin is completely gone this morning and the skin looks soft and moist. I just ordered the body wash and lotion for my daugher in law. I think she's going to love it as much as I do.
I will always have this in my bathroom.

Thoroughly surprised at all the great reviews of this. I bought it solely for the supposed firming benefits, not that I need much firming, but I figure my body skin deserves some of the same care that I lavish on my face. I didn't even notice that it has a scent worth talking about until I saw the reviews here. In any case, it's not sticky or greasy, but it doesn't moisturize all that well either. And the pump doesn't work so well. I need to pull it up after each and every time I push it down. Annoying.

Yet again suckered into buying a Philosophy product. I LOVE the smell of Amazing Grace. So I bought this. When you apply it, it smells wonderful and leaves your body soft and fragranced. An hour later and you can't smell it at all. Grrrr. For the price, I want to layer it and smell it (albeit subtly) all day! So disappointed. I've given it three lippies as it's pretty good body moisturiser but to be honest, I could buy a Nivea body moisturiser for a quarter of the price. Disappointed by Philosophy again.

For the actual lotion itself, it's great, feels silky, absorbs quickly, and isn't too thick or thin to be used all over the body. The formula is on point.

However, I won't be purchasing again. It makes me smell like an old lady. This scent is probably not appealing to teens or young adults; it's very floral and old fashioned.

I have been using this product for about 5 years. I started with the Baby Grace body lotion but it quickly tired of it so switched to Amazing Grace. I can’t attest to the firming effects of this emulsion but the scent is gorgeous and has super staying power. The scent will last from the time I go to work till I get home. Plus I like the way it rubs off on my clothing and leaves a soft scent. I only use it as day lotion because I don’t find it moisturizing enough for overnight use. I love it so much that I bought the AG hand lotion for the office. The scent is slightly different from the body emulsion but it still smells great and it’s very moisturizing. The limited edition Summer AG Firming Body Emulsion is great too, its like AG but with a summery twist.

I love this moisturizer! For me, it's an instant pick-me-up. Scents can be ultra subjective, and I just love this because it smells so clean, not perfumey.

It's almost like I just came out of a dryer!

Texture-wise, this goes on smooth and absorbs well. Not greasy and I love the pump!

I wanted a scent that kind of smells like Ivory soap. Really clean and fresh. This is it! It smells clean and fresh, but warm at the same time. Just the way I'd like to smell! I bought the big lotion. I'm kind of debating on the perfume. Something about the smell was a bit off to me. I've been searching for my signature scent for a long time. Perfume usually gives me headache if it's too strong so Amazing Grace is perfect for me.

UPDATE: I still like it but it seems really perfumey now. The smell fades away when I put it on but when I smell in the bottle it's really strong. I love it on my skin though so I just make sure I don't put it on my neck so I don't get a perfume headache.

UPDATE UPDATE: WTH? This stuff is to perfumey and too strong! Even with me not putting it on too close to my face, it's too strong and gave me a headache.

I LOVE this lotion. I buy the large set of lotion and shower gel with the pumps off QVC. That's the best deal I've found.

The smell is light and fresh, I get many compliments on it. It feels moisturizing without being greasy, has a nice feel to it. I don't believe it does any firming, but that's not why I bought it.

I usually wear Jo Malone perfume, so it doesn't really match with that, but it's light enough that under clothes, it won't collide or over power another perfume. Without a stronger fragrance competing with it, it has enough scent that people close to you will notice. It is nice with the matching perfume when I want to smell fresh with a light fragrance.

At first I hated AG, I thought it smelled like some powder that you find in your grandmother's bathroom. But I have never had so many strangers come up to me and tell me how good I smell as with AG, it's almost a little creepy! I succombed to it as my signature scent, it's fresh and clean and yet still feminine. The body emulsion is just wonderful, so rich and moisturizing. I am on auto-delivery for the 32 oz bottle of this and the shower gel. Sometimes I don't even bother with the fragrance, and even then when someone comes in close for a hug they comment on how good I smell!!

i got this as a gift and so when i first smell i did not like it at all! the smell was really funny and just seemed unpleasant. so i decided to use it anyway because i needed a lotion and boy was i surprised. although it still smelled funky when i first applied it after a little while i noticed that the once awful smell became something totally pleasant and great! i honestly love using it and it is a great lotion. the only reason i wouldn't buy it again is because i know lotions that are much cheaper and can do the same job as this one can.

Wow, I am one that is surprised with this lotion. At first sniff, I never would think it was for me, but thought I'd just give it a try based on all the wonderful reviews I read on Sephora about the scent lasting all day. I don't really want to wear perfume at times and rely on my lotion for scent. I am so pleased with this lotion, the scent turns into a nice clean fragrance that is just right - not too heavy yet just enough that it is noticeable. It really doesn't do anything for the firming but it is a great lotion that has not given me any negative reactions (some things are too strong or have an ingredient I must be allergic to). It is now my favorite lotion! I like to purchase directly from Philosophy because they have wonderful free gifts/ promotions all the time! I will tell you though to beware of the giant 32oz specials that they sell on QVC or Nordstrom's beauty event - it seems to be a diluted product or different formula because with those the scent is definitely weaker and does not last at all.

This has been a summer staple for me. Purchased the super sized at QVC over a year ago during one of their Holiday shows and it sat on my counter! I'm so glad I starting using it because it has become one of my favorite lotions! It melts right into my skin and leaves a beautiful silky shine with out being sticky. I love to use it right after I shave my legs because it leaves my legs perfectly hydrated!
Next time I will not buy the Amazing Grace version of this HOWEVER, I would purchase the PURE Grace- non fragrant version...when I use this I feel like I have to put on amazing grace perfume (which I love, but a girl's gotta have variety). And, I would like to have a lotion whose fragrance didn't mix with my other beloved fragrances. Now I just have to wait for Philosophy to have another Holiday show to get the great price on the pure!! I'm a fan of Philosophy firming body emulsion!!

I wanted to like this lotion since I've loved most of the philosophy products I've tried. However, I don't like this at all. First of all, the lotion formula is fine. It's moisturizing and just a tad greasy, which I like for my dry skin. It doesn't firm at all, how could it, but it's not a bad lotion. However, the scent is pretty awful. It smells like a mixture of old lady and sunscreen. I normally like sunscreen smells (imagine more of a chlorine smell, not anything tropical) but this is just gross. Add in the old lady, and this lotion is unbearable to use. Don't buy unless you know for a fact that you like this scent or you'll be disappointed.
