Having tried the mist, I thought the lotion for Amber Romance would be just as good. To me, it sadly is not. From the warm, vanillic gourmand in spray form, the lotion leaves my skin smelling like baby powder, a poor imitation of Johnson and Johnson’s original with a strange rotting caramel note somewhere from the depths of candyland hell. I blame skin chemistry. Bummer; I wanted to layer but do not relish smelling as if I am a permanent denizen of the nursery. Great lasting power though, and since I have normal to oily skin on my body, the lotion is pretty moisturizing for me. However, be careful in hot weather, as this may be too cloying. Less is more in this case for sure (in terms of fragrance). Notes = black cherry, English cream, milk, and sandalwood.

Love the smell - I'd describe it as musky with notes of vanilla for sure. Overall very comforting and classy, non-offending scent. Plus pairs nice with most perfumes and fragrance mists. Moisturizing quality is great - absorbs well and has great lasting power. I think it's my favorite VS scent so I would highly recommend.

This is definitely my favorite scent from VS! I remember when my aunt first started wearing it and it smelled soo good. She bought me some for my bday and I was like omg this is great. It smells so good and makes me smell amazinggg. (: If the rating could go higher, i'd give it a 10!

Amber Romance has been around a long time, but I barely discovered it. It's heavenly! I don't really feel the lotion moisturizes very much, but the smell is amazing. My new fave!

I received this as a gift and I totally forgot about it until recently when I was cleaning my room. It definitely has a very musky, vanilla scent to it. I only use this after I shower and it smells really good, especially when the scent starts to wear off. I would purchase a bottle after I'm done with this.

i read all the good reviews of this on makeup alley and had to buy it!i first put it on my hand and i was really dissapointed i was like oh...this is it? but anyway i carried on and drove to work and kept thinking what smells so nice?it was my hand! one you rub this in it smells beautiful so warm and comforting and quite strong too which i like!i definatley would re buy this!

I first smelled this on a lady who sits behind me in church. She is such a pretty, classy woman that I asked her what she was wearing and it was this!! Of course I went right out and bought a bottle for myself. My 15 year old daughter stole it from me so I had to get another bottle. You know a fragrance is a good one when it can span the generations like that!

Blehh! Smells weird and WAY too strong. I bought it & wore it the next day at school and this girl beside me was like "What's that nasty smell?" I smelled my wrist & I knew it was me that smelled like crap. After, I tried layering it with my Vanilla Lace body spray to see if it would smell better, but it ended up smelling like baby powder gone wrong. The day after, I exchanged it for a Mango Temptation body butter, which smells A LOT better.

I have always LOVED this scent..... I really like vanilla lace as well but its too foody and my husband isnt a big vanilla fan..

I like amber romance because its a soft amber, with a tiny hint of vanillaish so its perfect for me and my husband likes it too : ))) It also lasts a long time, all day long!

I got this from my mom she owned a bottle but I used up most of it.. Really love this smell . Has like a very good scent it's really mellow that's how I can explain it lol. It's so calm nice soft. it's great smells delicious and doesn't give you that headache atleast it didn't to me would definatley buy again :)

This comes the 12th out of the 12 scents available these days. I don't usually go for woody/musky/oriental scents(like the body shop white musk) and Amber Romance is all that...It made me nautious. If you like Chanel No.5 type of scent, you might like this.

My mom and I are obsessed with this. We stock up on bottles of this like nobodys business. I always get compliments, but I try to only use a little because a little goes a long way. Too much of it can be too strong but it is def my favorite!

I bought this as a gift for my sister, and I had to go and buy myself a bottle! It gives off such a great smell, and is not too overwhelming, although you do have to remember that a little goes a long way. It leaves your skin smooth and very nice smelling, I would definitely buy it again.

One of my favorite scents. Layer it with the body spray and it lasts all day. Blend it with Wild Scarlet or Pure Seduction for a custom scent (Blend one as lotion and the other as spray). Great prices when you can catch it on sale.

I really like this smell but I don't love it... yet. I'm the type of person that goes from smell to smell and I love all of victorias secret garden.. vanilla lace being my favorite. But I do wear this and so do my older sisters and they love it. : )

VERY nice! It is strong, but for me, that's a good thing.........I can actually smell it! AND, it lasts a super long time(almost unheard of with so many other lotions)! It isn't very moisturizing, as it's a light lotion(not sticky), but the lasting scent makes it worth it! I've even applied a fragrance over this and all I can smell is the lotion. GOOD STUFF! Be nice if a powder came with it. Also, I don't get "old lady" with this as some others had mentioned. For me, it's a sweet and creamy amber. Very pretty and soothing.

This is one of my favorites from the Victoriria Secret Garden Collection: I have been using it more time than Vanilla Scent. I have tried other scents from this collection but this one is my staple lotion scent. I feel spoil every time I put this lotion in my legs and arms. It doubles in my case as a fragrance which is good. It moisturize the skin does not let it feel stick or greasy. Is softly scent but this scent can carry on your skin for a bit more than an hour. So if you layer it with the gel, body splash and edt you are set for at least a good 4 hours.

It has some vanilla and musk touches in this lotion.
