I love this! I am NC 20, yellow undertones, and have pigmented pink lips. Because my lips are pigmented and Hue is a glaze, this lipstick is perfect on me because it tones down the pink in my lips big time leaving me with a nude-ish/slight pink color on my lips which is nice because I therefore don't look like a walking zombie! I love love love it. Will def repurchase. Creme d' Nude I like too, but that is more opaque so it's more for when I want a very nude lip with no pink undertone. I def couldn't do Creme d' Nude everyday for work, but Hue? Absolutely!
Also, I don't find it drying. Maybe it's just my lips? But I find it quite smooth. Way better than my mattes which I also love but I need to always make sure to put chap stick under. In terms of lasting power, it doesn't last too long, no, but I don't care. Because it's easy for me to apply a touch up, I'm not bothered by that.

This is the perfect daytime lipstick for any season. But I Absolutely love this for a spring days heading to the office or a day out shopping. The colour is great with my fair skin and blue eyes. This is a new favourite!

I said I would repurchase this product because I have! I bought it for the first time back around Christmas and then sometime near New Year's I misplaced it! After panicking for about a week I broke down and bought another one. I recently found the first one so now I have a spare so I can keep one in my purse and one in my stash. I really love the look of it for more natural days. Especially paired with MAC Boldly Bare lip pencil. Its perfect for an easy MLBB lipstick you don't have to worry about constantly reapplying. The formula is smooth and creamy and this lipstick is nothing short of lovely and easy

I owned this and definitely repurchased however I prefer a matte or satin finish so decided not to go for it a third time. I will say though that the color and texture is absolutely amazing just not better than a matte or satin look in my opinion. So with that being said I went on a search for a similar color with different finish and found it in Kat Von D's celebutard.

I love Hue. I am obsessed with the "nude lip look". Hue provides a nice "nude" without washing out my fair skin. I like that it has a pinky tone which works well with my red-pigmented lips. Colors such as MAC's creme d'nude are too peachy and don't provide enough coverage. Longevity is hard to judge as I am someone who reapplies constantly. My one stipulation for almost all lip products is that lip balm must be applied before every application; Hue is no exception. I wear this color daily and I haven't found a "nude" that replaces Hue's day-to-night capability. Exfoliation before application is also recommended. I rated the price a '3' just because in Canada it is ~18$ which is a little more than the drugstore brands, but still less than the really pricey lippies!

mac's super nude lipsticks never impress me, and this is no exception. no matter what i can't make it work because the color is soo pale and dead looking. i guess not everyone can look good with the dead lip look

I've never fallen in love with a MAC product (well maybe Ruby Woo in a masochistic sort of way) and I don't know why I keep coming back to them. I think it is because I feel I must be missing something because of the cult like following this brand has.
My local counter is always swarmed by collections of teenage girls in school uniforms- you need to fight your way past the school bags to get a look in, which never helps.
Anyway, Hue. This is a 'glaze' finish lipstick- I don't actually know what that means. I think it is supposed to be sheer. Hue is a shimmerless 'soft pale pink' as described by MAC. I would agree with that- I have seen other reviewers mention a greyness and I can sort of see that too. Perhaps a touch of lilac when combined with pigmented lips. Colour wise it is quite flat. This all sounds quite negative but actually I think it works very well for me. To perfect it I would warm it up ever so slightly but it's a reasonably flattering pale pink nude on me.
The formula I am not mad keen for. It feels a bit uncomfortable- but I think that it is because I am more used to really soft and creamy lip products. Wearing Hue for a while I find myself getting more used to the formula. I actually don't find it too bad when it comes to showing up dryness/imperfections. It certainly doesn't do anything to disguise them but neither do I feel it particular emphasises flaws.
All in all a fair-to-good product from MAC for me. Nothing super special in colour/texture but nice enough. I'm actually on the fence about whether I'd repurchase but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

I am an avid watcher of Megan (Ciaoobelllaxo) on YouTube and she absolutely raves about this color. After watching her for about a year, I finally decided to "splurge" on my first MAC lipstick and bought Hue. Let me just say that I absolutely LOVE the color and texture of this lipstick. It's creamy, it goes on smooth, and the color is a perfect nude pink. I almost always put lip balm on before lipstick, so I haven't had any issues with it drying out my lips. The color itself is pretty on its own but I still like to pop a lip gloss over the top. My color of choice is Milani's Coral Shimmer that's supposed to be a good dupe for Love Nectar from MAC. Sadly though, it's been discontinued. I like wearing this lipstick when I do a more dramatic eye look because it gives a little bit of color without going over the top.
I would definitely repurchase this product again.

Yeyyyy! This is my first MAC lipstick and I LOVE IT!
It is a really nice natural color that you can wear everyday! I love the smell and the creamy feel to it.
However, it can be drying on lips so I always put some lip butter underneath.
And I do have to reapply it often cause It doesn't stay on all day, but it's worth it anyways!!
Very nice color!

I am on my second tube. As some reviewers said yes in the winter this will dry out your lips so put some lip balm before applying this. I love that is has a glossy texture but not over the top. I use just superb lipgloss cremesheen gloss and WOW! a gorgeous shade. Can't wait for the summer how nice it would look with a tan look and smokey eye look love love love this shade will buy a third tube of this soon.

Love this shade for a nude look. It goes very well with my fair skin and I had no problems applying it. I definitely agree that lips need to be moisturized first!!

Great color, but poor quality. It's not drying, just the grainy texture does not apply evenly on the lips, which is a huge no no for lipsticks. No more MAC lipsticks, though the price is fair and the color range is awesome.

This would be the perfect nude for an NW/NC20-25 complexion IF it were a just tad less pink and a tad more beige AND if it were a cremesheen rather than a glaze. These two factors are key in making a perfect nude.
Like many others, Creme d'Nude did not cut the cake for me because it was TOO beige and has more of a peach undertone which does not flatter lighter complexions. Hue definitely gets higher points for keeping a pink base but it's a little too pink and layer upon layer it starts to look like Creme Cup or Snob (which aren't nudes but merely light pinks).
The glaze finish is just too sheer, which does not do justice for highly pigmented lips or dry lips. This is not very layerable either. It becomes too slippery. You definitely don't want to have chapped lips while wearing this, as it does bunch up and crack and all that jazz.
On my highly pigmented lips with my complexion, layering this just looks like a faded out version of Creme Cup, which I don't like. If only there were a happy medium between Creme d'Nude and Hue, that would probably be the perfect nud (and no, I am not going to shell out extra $$ to use both of these at once).

This lipstick has recently been added to my MAC collection. From reading previous reviews I was a bit hesitant into buying this product. Its glaze lipstick, so its not too drying on the lips. The colour is a nude, more to the pinky/peachy side. A layer of this and a pinkish lip gloss makes it the perfect everyday nude/natural lip colour. i would not purchase this again, as I could get a similar colour from another brand.

Love Hue and have repurchased as it's a great pinky nude lipstick for my fair complexion without making me look like a corpse. Departs a lovely muted pinky beige colour that is opaque, feels hydrating, and have a slight sheen that adds dimension to my lips.

I am a typical pink toned, pale redhead. I'm usually the 2nd lightest in drugstore fd. BUT I have ridiculously pigmented lips, berry colored kinda. When I do smoky eyes, it used to be the color I'd go to. As I'm reaching the end of the tube I realize that while the nude color and pigmentation are perfect to cover even my red lips and make smoky eyes stand out more, it has some serious flaws that make me not purchase it.
First, it's not a no fuss l/p. You have to exfoliate EVERY TIME before you apply or it will show every single ball or wrinkle on the lips. Second, it balls and disappears FAST. With no eating or drinking - 2 hrs max, but I usually get 1 hour and then I need to fuss with applying it again. Such PITA! I will finish my tube but won't repurchase. For $17 CAN, I'll better get Sephora G19 that smells yummy, goes on sale and stays put for a while. Oh and no exfoliating, I can apply it straight from the bullet!

Hue! I love this shade! The application is beautiful because it is on the sheer side but still very visible! I can see myself running low on this pretty quick though, so I would definitely repurchase. It's my go to nude shade and I'm NC35.
