I've gone through 9 or 10 of these pencils (using them all the way down to the nub, not losing them) and have worn Brown Copper faithfully, as my everyday eyeliner, forever. For literally years.

It's really easy to apply, but I have to make sure I have a fully loaded eyeliner brush or else it picks up what I've already put on and I get gaps in coverage. Also, I noticed that some reviews have mentioned that it lacks staying power.

With my last pencil, I noticed that it seems to slide off my eyes and disappear a lot faster than I remembered. I've relocated to a different climate, which might be responsible for some of that, but I'm wondering if the product formula was changed and affected its staying power? I can't wear eyeliner on my waterline, so it's my upper lashline where I see it smearing away. Usually by the end of the day I have very little color left.

I still love the consistency for application and the deep brown color looks great for fair skin that can't handle a harsher true black.

This is a med-dark brown liner w/copper flecks. I think will look great on any eye color and definitely brings out my brown eyes. Texture is smooth and creamy, doesn't tug. I didn't have problems w/staying on my waterline, maybe 6 hrs w/a primer. Definitely want to check out other colors from LM.

Though the formula is such that product migration occurs, this shortcoming is more than compensated for by (a) the uniqueness and complexity of the colour and (b) the precision lining facilitated.

I love the color of this pencil and the ease of application, but it has absolutely no staying power. After about two hours it just disappears on me, even if I use an eye makeup primer. Very disappointing; will not repurchase.

Beautiful brown with copper flecks in it. It reminds me of Urban Decay Bourbon but the staying power on this pencil is far better. It gives a soft, smokey finish which I love.

I'm a die-hard black eyeliner kind of girl but lately wanting more of a natural, tanned beach-y look and so after much deliberation, went with this. While this look is decidedly undefined in comparison to a black, it's a soft, brownish copper that gives a sleepy, warm look to any smokey eye without weighing it down with too deep of a color. This, sadly, barely shows up against my skin tone but smudged over a black eyeliner and over my lids up into my crease it offers the effect stated above (warm, sultry without closing my eye up with a deeper tone). Wish it was just a tad darker and longer lasting, thus 4/5. These are very special pencils and look extremely flattering on, especially when smudged out. Unfortunately staying power is minimal and that drives me bonkers because I'm constantly retouching. This, out of all her other kohls, wears the best IMO because as it is so close to my own skin tone, it looks more natural when it wears off as opposed to the darker tones where it becomes more obvious when they wear off. Must use with primer and black pencil to at least tightline. Would repurchase. Am going to try MAC Teddy and compare to this.

Edit: Tried MAC Teddy and fell in love. Teddy seems more heavily pigmented and warmer, it shows up stronger against my tan and lasts longer as well. Putting the LM Brown Copper back in my drawer until winter when it may show up stronger.

Age: 56 & Over   Skin: Dry, Fair, Neutral   Hair: Brown, Wavy, Fine   Eyes: Hazel

This gorgeous medium-dark warm brown eyeliner pencil has a lovely, subtle, copper-bronze shimmer, making it more interesting than most. It is dark enough to give good definition, while the subtle shimmer brings out the colors in my hazel brown eyes. It appropriate for daytime and office settings.

Besides its lovely color, it glides on smoothly. I am usually disappointed with liner pencils. They're either too hard and hurt! Or they're too soft and smudge right away, looking messy.

The texture of the LM eyeliner is soft and creamy, yet it is easy to use and control. I can make the line fine or thick, with no tugging on the sensitive skin around the eyes. I can get in close to my lashes for a subtle look or build it up if i want a darker or thicker line. It is smudgeable if that is what you like, but it also holds a good line if you don't smudge.

It is a standard wood pencil, not automatic, so it can be sharpened to your taste.

It is now my everyday liner. The price is a bit high, but the quality and beautiful color make it worth every penny!

Before I lost it a couple of weeks ago, I used this pencil everyday and loved the way it looked. When paired with the LM Bronze Gold color pot it REALLY brought out my blue eyes. I agree that it has staying power and that it lasts a long time. I was only about halfway through it and had had it for about a year (I think). Awesome product, would definitely buy it again.

Love the color, great payoff, makes hazel eyes pop but no staying power. Smears within two -three hours unless set with a similar colored eye powder. For almost twenty dollars I expect more. Will not buy again.

This color works great with hazel eyes. Really makes them pop. The eyeliner itself is smooth, creamy, and has great staying power. It is pricey, but my first pencil has lasted for the past six months and is still half its original size. Worth the high price tag for the great color payoff.

This is a must have of mine. I wear it smudged to give the smoky eye look. My only complaint is that if you wear it as an eyeliner alone, it will smudge away during the day.

Overall rating: This is my other HG desert-island brown pencil eyeliner precisely because it has the attributes of the Revlon Colorstay Burnished Amber pencil (see my other review on this one) without the red undertones. So, if I don't want that undertone for some reason, I just use this eyeliner instead! Also, it is not as creamy as the Revlon, but it doesn't tug at my sensitive under area.
Price: Way more expensive ($19) than the Revlon pencil, but still the best in its color class IMHO.
Packaging: Standard wood pencil; not automatic, so it can be sharpened. However, since the Revlon one is so good, I may check to see if there is a similar shade when the LM runs out :-)
Would I buy again: Maybe (see above).

After purchasing this yesterday at a beauty event I have to say that I love it. The color is a light brownish copper with sparkle. On my dark eyes it is not as intense as my other liners, but definitely perfect for the daytime wear. The sparkle is very subtle so don't worry about it being overwhelming. This is a basic bronze to have in your makeup collection. I agree with the other reviewers about the high pricetag for the pencil, but the quality and color make it worthwhile. This is comparable to BB gel liner in Bronze and for almost the same price you get more for your money with the BB gel pot.

Absolute HG of lipliners. Gorgeous brown/copper/bronze liner that is stunning for my brown eyes. The texture of this liner is superb as it doesn't tug on my eyelids. In fact, it's super smooth and very easy to apply, and it does NOT smudge at all..FABULOUS! Definitely worth every penny. Will purchase again as it's an absolute must in my makeup bag.

This has become my go-to liner, and not just because it makes my brown eyes sparkle as if I have never known disappointment. I like it cuz it works well on its own and blends well with other liner colors while maintaining its own identity (eye-dentity? hee hee he).

Am getting away from Plum...my go-to color for many years. This is a lovely bronze. It is hard to describe, as you can see from the reviews. Brown, but way not..cooper, but more bronze..has some kind of soft shimmer. I give up.

I do know that something about the way it shines just makes by dark brown eyes sparkle.

Also am getting away from the smokey eye look I've always loved. Now it makes me look tired. This is great. Don't feel like I have to just fill in the lashes and get over it.

The glide of this liner is great! I can really get in between my lashes on top and line nicely on the upper edge on bottom.

Got Laura Mercier's smudge brush too, just in case I can't resist smuding---just a little. :)

This is another wonderful sample I received for free, but when I run out, I will definitely purchase! There isn't much to say about this product other than it's GREAT! It's very flattering to my skin tone (which is a feat in itself!) and it blends and smudges so easily that it makes a beautiful smokey look. So, you can either wear it perfectly or messy- either way, it's a hit! It's a refreshing change, especially if you don't like the seriousness of black liner (I don't have this problem myself! :)), but the metallic copper gives it just the right kick to make it special. Another favorite of mine! I definitely recommend!

UPDATE: While I love this color and the creamy texture and "smudgability" of this liner, I've learned that the "smudgability" is not necessarily a good thing... Over the course of the day this color tends to smudge excessively- my original lines get thicker and the color tends to creep into the corner of my eyes. In the bathroom at work (after about 3 hours of wear), I looked up and jumped back a little from the racoon eye affect I now had... I'm going to try to sharpen the pencil to a fine point and try to apply the color in a much more thin line to see if this helps, but will admit overall I'm disappointed with the wear time of this product and therefore, I'm taking away a lippie. :(

I loved the way this pencil made my eyes look when I first applied it, but I did not love my puffy red eyes a few hours later. I have never had an allergic reaction to any other eye makeup, and so I decided to give the pencil a second try to ensure it was the culprit. Sadly, it was. I've since found Sue Devitt's metallic eye pencils and have found them to be a good substitute. My favorite is Gold Reef, which is a close match to LM's Brown Copper.

LOVE this liner! Ihav blue eyes and tend to wear a lot of bronze, brown and copper shades. This is a bronzey brown with shimmer--nice shimmer, not glitter like the UD 24/7 liners. Soft and creamy, easy to use and control. This is something I can see using up and repurchasing--a definite HG for me. This has replaced my beloved Teddy Kohl from MAC--Brown Copper is much richer.
