Nice packaging and lovely scent.
Day 2 of use and really liking this product!
Have been Using Clean and Clear Essentials moisturiser for the past 2 years and I found it to be too light and not moisturisng enough.
After recieving a few samples of day and night cremes i decided to try a thicker formulation.
I love dove products so I figured i would try this, and glad i did!
Innexpensive and great quality. Highly recommend!!

This is nice. My skin has an oily t-zone but it is winter so it's a bit dehydrated right now. I do find this can make me a little shiny in my nose and chin area but it's fine everywhere else. I really don't find it overly greasy for a cream with SPF. It has a pleasant scent and does not flare up my dermatitis. This is just what I wanted, a cheap, hydrating, non greasy, no frills moisturizer with SPF in it. The glass jar is attractive if a bit unhygienic... doesn't bother me though. Nice one Dove!

Been using this moisturizer for 5 years. My skin reacts to everything I put on my face so I have to be very careful. I always look for a moisturizer with SPF for the day so I am ready for the sun and everything else! I apply this every morning before my day starts and my skin is feeling great! Whenever I apply it to my face, my face lights up with redness showing circulation and that I'm ready to begin the day! My skin feels moisturized and light. I love this cream's texture! It's hard to find a daily moisturizer and this is it for me!

Cheap; worked well at first, but my face now is oily after a few hours. Good for preventing windburn and for outside winter activities.

Overall I'm, very pleased with this product. I have generally oily skin but I experience dryness from time to time. This product makes my skin feel hydrated and smooth and doesn't make me overly greasy and shiny like so many other suncreens do. The SPF is also a bonus and it doesn't irritate my skin like some other chemical sunscreens do. The price is also great at around $8. I would repurchase.

I wanted to like this product. I really did. At first it worked lovely for me. It made my skin smooth and it gave me a nice glow. I loved the fact that has spf. But afterward it made me break out in painful, red, acne. I gave it a 2 because it worked good at first. I'm still searching for my HG moisturizer. Unfortunetly this isn't it.

After trying numerous moisturizers with SPF on my mid 50's dryish skin, I have settled on a process of PC Hydrating Treatment Cream under this Dove product. I apply the PC cream wait 15 mins then the Dove. This way I get the good ingredients in Hydrating Treatment Cream followed by a gentle SPF product.
Here in Australia only the active ingredients are listed on the Dove box,I don't really know what else it contains.(Advice please MUA girls)
With summer approaching I think I have at last worked out a process to protect my fair, sensitive skin which did not like Peter Thomas Roth Max SPF30 or EL Future Perfect SPF15.Both not hydrating enough.

My HG would be PC Hydrating Cream with SPF, yet retaining the original texture etc.

Dove costs around 12AUD

The only reason I tried this was that one of my friends gave me hers. She mistakenly bought it without realising that it is not really intended for young skin. I tried it on my arms and legs and found it was very moisurising, smelt pleasant, and had a nice texture. Next I ventured to try it on my face. It didn't feel too greasy going on and made my face soft and glowy. The only problem is that my skin gets greasy after a few hours. Overall my skin seems a lot more plumped and hydrated, but I'm starting to get a few clogged pores which may be due to this. I really don't know what rating to give it because it is cheap, nicely packed and pleasant to use, and contains spf, but may have the potential to clog pores.

This moisturiser is okay apart from the slightly greasy feel it gives me for the first few minutes after I put it on. For this reason, I wont be buying this again, as it made me realise that I prefer a lighter , lotion texture for day creams anyway. I also dont like the its packaged in glass as it makes me afraid that I will drop and break it.

I've been using this for 3 weeks and I like it. smells good feels good and not greasy. I use it with my Jane oil free foundation and it gives me good coverage all day without cloging my pores. Also no breakout of my face but I did use some on my neck and I broke out the next day.

I use to be a big fan of dove products until I used this. Ok, I may be exaderating since thats not the only reason, but I still have to say I'm quite sad that it didn;t turn out to be good.
At first I LOVED this, I raved about this to all my friends. My skin felt much better and looked gfod too. Big mistake, after about a month, it completely turned around and bit back. My skin went blochy and dried out. I only gave it a two because it was VERy good a first and has a decent price tag. Otherwise I would say its a 1.

Besides that, I found out that Dove tests on animals which is jaw-dropping. Pure dissapointment.

I have very dry skin and as far as that's concerned, this creme is amazing. I'm not crazy about the packaging and I'd prefer a higher SPF. My problem with this is what Aslim mentioned, that it rolls off if you rub your fingers against your face! It's bad enough if I'm not wearing make-up, but putting foundation over this was a nightmare.

Not bad at all for a very inexpensive cream. It is kind of greasy going on but does absorb fairly quickly. I only use it on my dry patches and have had no breakouts. It is a decent cream with SPF for a very reasonable price.

I have OILY skin, and am constantly blotting it throughout the day. (Seriously, my pores are like little oil faucets!)I tend to over-compensate for the oiliness by using somewhat drying cleansers. This cream, Dove Essentials Day Cream, is GREAT for the tight feeling and flakiness i can get after washing my face. I use it on my undereye area and cheeks, sides of my forehead. Like another poster said, a little goes a long way, i use it sparingly. Has a lovely light scent, comes in an attractive glass pot, price is waaay reasonable sitting next to all those over-priced $20 moisturizers in the drug store. UPDATE: Now that winter is officially over, this product is a bit too creamy for my oily skin. I found it most effective from the Jan-Mar months.

Sinks in, doesn't feel a least bit heavy, and didn't clog my pores or cause any allergic reactions. Both my sis and I use it.

I take what I read on the ewg.org site with a grain of salt, but when I read what they had to say about this cream, I did give Dove some second thoughts. Plus, this stuff always leaves my face very shiny, and when I tried to put makeup over it, this cream seemed to roll off my face and form little balls. I also had redness around my nose, and broke out on my cheeks. Since I stopped using it and started using another moisturizer, the redness and bumps are gone, and my skin looks great.

This makes my face feel nice and soft and gets rid of my dry skin. However, sometimes my face gets really shiny as a result.
