I don't think any of the shimmer bricks are worth the money, including both Bobbi Browns and Laura Merciers', simply because you can purchase the same exact things from ELF, Wet n Wild and other really cheap brands for about 30.00 less. Unless you apply very lightly and in the right places, you will end up looking more greasy than glowing. Same results can be had with much cheaper brands

Satisfaction with this product depends greatly on what you want to achieve with shimmer. If you like more dewy looks, Benefit's High Beam is a much better option. A light brush of this complements more powder blush colours very well, adding dimension to them and making the colours lighter and more radiant. It is not too pink and it could work very well with most natural looks. A good side is that it is a multiuse product, as most of the colours could work well as eyeshadows, e.g. they can brighten up your look greatly if you place them over the lid. It is also long-lasting. A number of warnings:
- do not go for this if you have dry mature skin, especially if you have wrinkly undereye area, as it can sit in your lines and attract unwanted attention (also valid for large pores around the cheeks that you would generally like to cover rather than enhance)
- do not go for this if you are to be photographed, especially with professional equipment, or if you are conscious that your skin might look glistening on the upper cheeks
- do not go for this if you hate cool looks as it might appear a little frosty and if you are generally looking for something very naturally looking, especially in daytime
Packaging is too bulky and seems fragile, so you always need to be careful when carrying it around.

This is one of my all-time favourite products! It is great for faking the radiant well-rested look. Next time I'm going to try Pink Quartz.

This is my first shimmer brick and I have to say I was a little nervous spending this much on just some glitter. I was SO wrong. This is a beautiful product.

The shimmer here is not glittery or overly sparkly. You will not look like a 6 year old playing dress up. As a highlighter it is beautiful and catches light and makes you look bright and awake even when you aren't (all night studying, exams, and hangovers are fixable!)

And I do have to say that the product really lasts. It is fairly pigmented in that a a few swipes does the job and I have yet to make a dent in my product. So for what you are paying you are getting a bang for your buck.

The only complaint I have is that I worry when I transport the brick that it will break and ill have my beautiful shimmer brick turn into messy shimmer dust!

I have neglected this product because I thought it had too much shimmer. But recently someone showed me how to use it (with a fantail brush) and I love it more than any other product I have. It is handmade in Italy, comes in elegant packaging with a large mirror. And it lasts ages. It is a great highlighter, makes me glow!

I got a hand-me-down from my aunt. it has lasted years, and the colors still look really nice. I thought it would be more pink on my cheek, but instead it shows an iridescent color of pink, with glitters. i use this to top my matte blush-on and it looks great on every color.
it might be good for eyebrow highlighter too.

For what you get, the price is not half bad. I have had mine for a year now and still have not run out!

This product really brings out the cheekbones. It brings a glow to the cheeks with a slight hint of pink. For me, it is like a blush.

Apply too much and you might find yourself looking too shiny especially for photographs. Just apply the right amount and you will be looking stunning all night long!

I got this product when it was on special for Mother's Day on SN. I absolutely love this product. It makes my face glow and works very well. If I can remember correctly, I got it for around $30AUD. My skin is NC25 and it really makes my face look a lot healthier

I love this product! I confess, I bought it untried because it was so beautiful. I was surprised that it wasn't much of a blush, but wow, it made my cheekbones pop. A twentysomething at work commented how bright I looked (in a good way), and husband noticed the difference right away.

I use it sparingly on my cheekbones and browbones because it will look frosty if over-applied. I run my finger over the whitest bar and combine it with my concealer to brighten it up. It will accentuate wrinkles on older gals, so I check it in sunlight. I'm using all the shiny stuff while I still can.

I keep the foam packing square in it because it's fragile, but the clasp broke on the compact (my only complaint).

It is a good highlighter and very effective. however I have very little use for it because I can not use it anywhere where my skin is dry, because it accentuates my flakiness where I would not normally see it. So I only wear it on my nose, chin and upper lip. I also can use it on my brow bone but I dislike shadow this frosty. I quess this reall is not for me.

I have two of these because I heard that they don't travel well. So, I have one in the office and one at home. I LOVE IT. Pretty much apply it the same way everyone here does: on the cheekbones, on the apples of my cheeks, the v of my upper lip, and top of my brows. Just make sure that you use very little. I use my ring finger to swipe across all the colors and lightly blend into the areas. You should really try a litte on the apples of your cheeks. Smile and swipe your ring finger across the shimmers and pat and blend. When you smile, you'll see a glow that makes your smile that much more beautiful.

I bought this wrongly; thinking it was the Rose Shimmer Brick compact. This is lighter than Rose. It does not create the same rosy glow. It does not work as well on my medium Asian Skin tone. I think it would look great on someone who has a fairer skin tone.

Pros:
* Lovely soft subtle colours
* Works as a great highlighter
* Comes with a mirror

Cons:
* Expensive

This is my favourite highlighter thus far for work and evening looks. The colours are very soft, subtle and very natural. Perfect for looks that aren’t trying to be obvious, such as for work in an office.

I love that the powder is so hard, because that means none of it goes to waste, you only use what you need. Absolutely no fall out.

The only draw back is how expensive these are. I bought mine a little over a year ago for $60AU. Most likely has gone up in price by now, but the good thing is one will last me a very long time. I don’t really see myself having to buy another one.

Apply some on your cheek bones and jaw line for a polished and finished look.

For reference: my skin tone is N4 in MAC, and the Pink Shimmerbrick is perfect for me.

good colour. a nice pinky sheen
but!
i have dry skin and if you have THE TEENIEST AMOUNT of flaky skin, this highlighter WILL highlight that flake of skin also.
you must exfoliate like crazy and have a very hydrated face for this highlighter to look its best.
plus you must clean it off like crazy for it to not clog pores

also, i would have liked the colours to be less similar....they each look different i the compact but they all look the same on..

also, the particles aren't as finely milled as i would like them to be..

I made a giant bobbi brown haul 2 days ago, and It was a lot of money! This was about 40 CAD. Again...expensive. Butfrom bobbi brown, what would you accpect? So I use it to highlight, usually I put it over a matte blush to make it shimmery and to highlight my cheeks. Great product. Great pigmentation. Will buy in other colors again!

What a waste of my money!! This shimmerbrick is quite pale & looks white on my olive skin-tone. I paid $85AU for this & I won't ever re-purchase!! I've found better shimmer compacts/shimmer blushes that are cheaper & do a much better job than this. I seriously don't understand all of the rave reviews about shimmerbricks - to me they're a dud!!

My mom got this for real cheap at some small Korean cosmetics store. I'm so glad she did. Whenever I come up to visit her I hoard her shimmerbrick. It's a very light shimmer of white and pink. At first I didn't think it did anything for me until I took a picture in the car with my phone. There was this beautiful subtle glow that I never get from my usual blushes. I only use this to highlight my cheeks, chin, and t-zone.

As beautiful as it works on my cool olive skin tone, I want something a little less white. I'll probably try out pink quartz. Still I love the shimmerbrick!

I have 3 shimmer bricks and this is my favorite. I apply it as blush and highligther on my cheekbones . The one I don't like very much is the packaging.

I apply the Pink Shimmerbrick just very lightly across the tops of my cheekbones, after applying bronzer and blush, and it's the perfect finishing touch for my face. I have a somewhat olive/lightly tanned complexion, so it provides just a light hint of pink. For me, it provides more of a dewy, lit-from-within glow than actual pink color on the cheeks, which is really what I wanted this product to provide. So, I love using this! But I will caution, one should use a very light hand with this or it could easily look garish and tacky. Definitely will re-purchase - if I ever run out (it seems I use so little that it may take me quite a while before I need to buy another compact.)
