I'm on the fence with this one...I don't use this shampoo on a daily basis anymore as I found it to be a little too drying for my scalp (especially my hairline at my temples). I see it more as a weekly treatment sort of product. I do notice a huge difference in the amount of hair I lose in the shower when using it, so there is definitely something to the strengthening claim, but that's cancelled out as soon as I slather on the conditioner... I absolutely LOVE the smell. Fresh, herbal- not all women want to smell like frou-frou-coco-paradise-berry, after all. This just smells clean to me. The bottle is kind of pretty, and though looks small, has actually taken me FOREVER to get through as I don't need much product for my fine, collarbone-length hair.

My hair has been shedding quite a lot for the past 2 months. I started noticing it because my ponytail had reduced to half its size, and i could see more scalp than usual. The quality of my hair was also not at its best and was looking extremely dull and lifeless. So i decided to try Klorane's Strengthening shampoo with Quinine and Vit B after reading some reviews. I thought it was great the first 2 weeks i tried it. Like all the other reviews mentioned, it doesn't lather at all, and the smell is very masculine ... however, it did leave my hair feeling clean and soft afterwards, and it also looked a bit thicker (probably due to the improved quality of my hair from using this shampoo).
However, my experience with the shampoo went downhill during the 3rd week of using it. My scalp started itching, i started getting dandruff (which i never used to get!), and my scalp also started getting very oily on the days when i don't wash my hair (i wash my hair every 2nd day). I didn't want to change my routine and wash every day, because that would dry my hair out. On top of all this, i also started noticing even more hair fall in the shower whilst using this shampoo, and when i brushed my hair, at least 15 hairs would come out of each section that i brushed. So i believe this shampoo had actually made my condition even worse and i've since stopped using it.
I really wished that this shampoo would work for me, because it seemed to work for so many other people on MakeupAlley. I am currently trying out a different shampoo, hopefully it will work for me.

Great shampoo. My hair has been shedding quite a lot lately due to stress and this made it look and feel "stonger/thicker". Very impressed with the Klorane line in general. Will re purchase.

I have fine and limp hair that tends to be oily at the roots and dry at the ends, sounds like a typical problem but it was surprisingly hard to find a good solution for my hair!! What used to happen was I would end up with an oily, unhealthy, weak scalp that would result in a lot of hair fall. Until I found this shampoo, this is amazing. After two washes, I noticed significantly less hair fall. Usually I would lose more than 10 strands in a wash but now I am losing maybe just 2-3 strands. I also notice my hair is thicker now and I love it!!! It does tend to be a little dry so I don't use this daily. I alternate this with LUSH New! shampoo and Khlorane Peony shampoo. I personally believe it's very important to alternate shampoos so your hair won't "stop responding" to any one. So far Im doing great with this routine and I def recommend this product. The smell is a turnoff for sure, but for me it doesnt "linger" the way it seems to with some people here. I only smell it during the wash! Anyway small con for a great product. :)))

First time I used this (I use the one for hair loss), I was unimpressed as it did not lather much and I felt like my hair was not clean enough. Even the conditioner felt like it was not doing very much. After using it for about a week, I started noticing results. My hair was not dropping as much and it was less oily. The conditioner, even though it seems like you needed to apply heaps to be conditioned (which you don't!), softens the hair and once the hair is dry, is clean and manageable. Love it :)

I think this is a decent shampoo. I tried it in conjunction with a hair loss treatment, so not sure how effective it is for loss, but it left my hair shiny, soft, and with a bit of body. On the downside, it gave my hair very little volume, and (as other reviewers have said) the smell is just awful. I am normally not fussed about scents unless they are ultra-strong and flowery, but this seriously smells strongly like shaving cream. It alone would stop me from repurchasing.

On the recommendation of others' experiences on here, I purchased it this shampoo. All I can say is how very disappointing it is.
This shampoo is very drying and has lifted the color from my hair. Although the packaging gives the impression of it being 'natural', the ingredients list is anything but with a hefty amount of dyes added to it to give it a reddish/brown shade.
Did it volumise my hair? No, it looks straggly after I use it. Just like if you were to use a liquid soap in your hair.
I would not recommend this shampoo. I prefer Kerastase volumising shampoo.

I am using my 3rd bottle. I bought this at bonus size 400ml/SGD $14.50.
Very good for my limp hair and sensitive scaple. My hair fall problems improve alot. The only thing about it is the smell - like men's shampoo. A good everyday shampoo.

It's rare that I'm impressed by a hair care product. I recently changed colorists and totally damaged my hair. I had split ends galore and hair falling out in the shower. It tangled so easily that, after getting out of bed in the morning, my hair would literally look a bird's nest--I couldn't brush it without losing it. I scheduled several deep conditioning/oil treatments at different, high end salons. At home, I tried everything, from salon brands--Kerastase, Joico, Redken, Terax, Bumble & Bumble, Alterna, Biolage, Paul Mitchell, etc.--to drugstore brands like Garnier and Main n' Tail. Anything featured in a magazine--a celeb/cult favorite, editor pick, etc--I tried . Nothing ever made a real difference with my hair until I tried this shampoo.
The first time I used it, I was REALLY turned off by the scent--like another reviewer said, it smells like men's shampoo. It didn't lather much and my hair felt rather dry afterward--to be honest, I thought I had wasted my money yet again. I applied the leave in conditioner and began to blow dry my hair--WOW, my hair was tangle free and baby soft (my hair is naturally coarse and NEVER soft). I decided to style my hair with a flat brush and didn't lose any hair! I'm not sure what makes this product so good--usually I try to stay away from anything with sulfates--but hey, it works! I've decided to buy and try the rest of their shampoos and conditioners! I highly recommend Klorane =)

I went through a bottle of this some years ago when I was losing hair due to hair colouring. By the time I was done the bottle I could see my sink was no longer clogged with hair, so it did actually work. That being said, I can find Nioxin shampoo more easily and get the big bottles when they come on half price, which works out cheaper than the Klorane and equally effective.

I bought this shampoo because i was losing quite a bit of hair and the overall condition of my hair was pretty bad: dry, lifeless etc. I didn`t like this product at first as i felt that it did nothing for my hair and my hair didn`t even feel clean after washing it. But as I continued to use it the condition of my hair improved. It gained back shine and didn`t feel as dry as before. So I would definitely recommend this as it doesn`t have ingriedients that would dry your hair out. That is why it doesn`t lather up much. The only bad thing is the smell. It smells like men`s shampoo.
