I had blemishes from acnes which lasted for months covering my cheeks. I tried sebamed, it was great, but my blemishes disn't fade that much. Then my sister recommended me to try this and just in days my face was recovering. I only use the facial foam. It's really a miracle, i'm so happy my skin is coming back to normal :). It's pricey for me but i guess its gonna last a few months since u only need to squeeze out a pea size of product for the whole face, so it's worth it! But i dont like the packaging, the lid isnt strong enough so i have to place tha tube upside down so the product doesnt leak out. :( but this is a good product, after a few weeks if my skin gets better i'm DEFINITELY gonna repurchase :)

i've used this product for 10 years with good results, i have very sensitive delicate skin, this was recommended by my derm. it's very inconisistant from one tube to the next, one tube may be soothing and great and the next will dry every ounce of oil from your skin, Now i'm looking fo a new cleanser, very disappointed in a product i loved.

This one didn't work for me, and there was really nothing special about this cleanser to spend $30 on again. My skin is combo/dry and I have mild breakouts. I really like the Toleriane ultra moisturizer, and I thought I would try this. There's nothing about this cleanser that is moisturizing. Yes, the texture is creamy, but I actually found it made my skin a bit dry. It didn't fully remove my face makeup. Also, for a "pure" cleanser, I was surprised that it burned my eyes! I used it up completely, but I wouldn't purchase it again. It would be good for someone with super oily skin, but if you have dry or sensitive skin look for something else.

A few months ago I got a nasty case of contact dermatitis. I'm still not sure what caused it. At the time I had been using Clinique Acne Solutions line for 3 years and all the acids in it were aggravating the dermatitis so I had to switch to something more gentle to let it heal. That's when I found this creamy delight. With Clinique my skin had gotten blotchy, not just with acne, it was getting a little discoloured in some places, I was using the 3 step line + mask + acne solutions foundation and really it wasn't clearing up my skin. This cleanser, along with the Toleriane Fluid moisturizer, has let my dermatitis clear up without irritation and my skin colour has come back. It has relatively low ratings on EWG which makes me a super happy camper since I've been trying to get myself back into healthy mode. I notice some people on MUA complaining that it makes them squeaky clean and hands feel funny. I only ever noticed this the very first time I used it. I used a little too much product and not enough water. Since then I make sure to put a lot of water to dilute it and haven't felt funny from the soap. I love it and hope anyone on the fence about the product will give it a try. I use the Fluid moisturizer in combination and make a 1:3 ACV:concentrated green tea toner and my acne has improved tremendously. It's great for combination-oily skin.

Excellent cleanser that has lasted almost a year. I use barely a pea-sized amount in the morning as a facial wash. It's a very mild product and would probably not remove makeup as well.

This has been my go to cleanser lately, I recently went through hormonal and cystic breakouts (at 30 years, it was on par with my teenage breakout years!) with early wrinkles forming and was desperate to revamp my skincare regimen. I discovered Avene's retinal line and my skin has been doing great with it but the only thing is my skin is a bit more dry on my cheeks to the point it is starting to flake but still continue to have an oily t-zone. I went through Dior purifying with crystal iris (too pricey and too much fragrance), first aid beauty (didn't like the oatmeal smell but was moisturizing), fresh soy cleanser (too drying and smells weird), origins checks and balances (my old fave), and Avene cleanance (leaves my skin too "tight"). I came across reviews here saying it is "foamy" but creamy at the same time and tried it for a week and i feel it is the best for my skin currently. I love that it is absolutely fragrance free (first aid beauty claims this but you can totally smell the oatmeal) and that it keeps my skin at a balance and never feels "tight" after washing. I would say that it is on par with Origins Checks and balances in that you only need a very small pea size amount (so a little goes a long way) to make a good foamy, plushy/creamy lather which i absolutely love AND with no detectable fragrance. So for those who cannot stand the peppermint smell of Origins, this is the best (it is also SLS/ Paraben Free). Also, this is pricier than the Origins one but 20% off drugstore/ulta and also cheap rates at amazon helps with that. Overall, one of the top cleansers i have used so far and it gets high marks by Paula Begoun and she hardly recommends products in her reviews.

I will continue to buy this over and over. A little truly does go a long way with this vigorously foaming cleanser. Does what a cleanser is supposed to while containing no dyes or fragrances. My only complaint is that the tops of the packaging tends to always break on mine somehow and I'm not the biggest fan of the smell but it is not very strong and I got used to it.

This is absolutely the best foaming cream cleanser that I've tried so far. For those who have not tried foaming creams, they are the types that you can find from Neutrogena's deep foaming cleanser, and loreal's white perfect foaming cleanser.
They will always make your skin feel very tight after wash and the skin was left a film of squeaky cleanness. People who are new to this will attribute it to dryness but i think it is not this way.

This Toleraine cleanser does a wonderful job in gently cleansing skin, it foams up really well, a tiny bit goes a long way and the best thing is that it does not have any fragrance. I uses this as a second cleansing step after using a oil cleanser to remove my makeup. This cleanser left my skin soft and clean. It also leaves the skin feeling tight but not overwhelming, if you don't like it, the tightness will dissapear after you apply toner so it's ok. It also calms redness on my face. My face will normally become red after washing with cleansers but this made my skin remain in a normal skin color which is pretty amazing.

I did not develop any acne after using this, showing that it does do a good job removing excess makeup residue from the face. Will definitely repurchase

Regarding to misslu990's break out attributing to the cleanser, the break out is not caused by the cleanser but because that the skin is too reliant on the benzoyl peroxide face wash by acne.org. Once your skin gets used to the BP, it will be very hard to quit it and your skin will freak out once you stop using the BP face wash.

I got this cleanser as part of a gift. This product is awesome! A little goes a long way and it gives a rich lather that leaves your face squeaky clean. Even so it's gentle on my oily/sensitive skin and it's fragrance free! I'd buy this again but I don't have that kind of money to spend on a cleanser....

Oh why must I try new stuff when what I have already works for me? I recently was looking on the ewg website and came across this cleanser because of its good rating. Decided to try it on a whim and used it the next morning. A little goes a long way seriously because this stuff foams up like crazy. Even though my face felt really clean afterwards my face also felt sticky and weird. This broke me out and I had these annoying red bumps all over my face. I also had clogged pores under my eye area that really bugged me. Once I washed my face with my normal acne.org cleanser my face no longer had that bumpy texture to it. Btw my skin is oily sensitive and acne prone. I have to be careful about what i put on my face. Sad to say this cleanser is not for me.

This face wash is part of the Toleraine line, yet I find it oddly drying. It foams nicely, but is difficult to use with a Clarisonic, because it foams up into your mouth. A little goes a long way, so it's a relatively good deal. I think it would be even better if it were in a pump, because the cleanser is quite liquify and flows out of the tube quickly. My skin is currently looking better than it has in a long time, but I don't really feel like I can singularly attribute it to this cleanser.

This is an amazing cleanser. I have allergic, sensitive acne-prone skin. This cleanser was recommended to me by my dermatologist and I have to say I was very impressed. It helped with my acne, and my skin did not react to this product at all (I have a lot of allergic reactions to other hypoallergenic products). After using it for a couple of weeks I noticed the redness in my skin was much improved as well. I do find it a little drying, but overall it's kind of a miracle cleanser. I've never found anything else that is less irritating or as gentle. It's great at removing oil and makeup so you don't need a toner after using.
I've been using this product for about 6 years on and off, as I like to try new things. However, I always return to this product because it is so gentle, fragrance-free, and has improved my skin redness and acne. It's definitely worth a try!

My sensitive skin loves this FRAGRANCE FREE cleanser. The gentle non-irritating formula cleans so well, my pores are never clogged. I've been using this for four years. My facial skin has been in the best condition ever. I use a dime size amount to clean my face every morning in the shower. The product lathers to deep clean the pores. It does not strip moisture nor does it leave an oily residue. My face feels so clean afterwards, looks clean and fresh. When I began using the product, my complexion was combination. I had some redness and dry skin around the outer chin, oily in the nasal folds and indentation between the lips and the chin. After using this product for six months, my face "normalized" and looks great. It has continued to be good for four years - proof to me that it is a staple in my skin care regime.
I do use the FRAGRANCE FREE Toleraine Dermo Cleanser in the evenings to remove makeup and residue.
My sensitive skin reacts to products with fragrance, so these two cleansers have been gentle, non-irritating, and really have improved my skin. Clean skin is the first and best step in facial care - so effective cleansers are really important to me. I don't need fancy ingredients in the cleansers, they are to remove dirt, makeup and residue and prepare the skin for the fancy treatments.
My experience indicates this is a great cleanser for sensitive skin types as well as combination, normal skin types.

I have extremely sensitive, allergy prone skin and can only use very gentle, fragrance free facial products that are not too harsh or stripping. Finding a face wash that fits that bill has been very challenging, this product being my current favourite and the one I have had the most overall success with.

Due to my skin's sensitivity, I have a pretty conservative wish list where face washes are concerned: I don't want it to aggravate my skin and to act as a mild, non-abrasive/scrubby exfoliator to use once or twice a week (in conjunction with my normal makeup remover and washing my face only with water most mornings.) This cleanser ticks those boxes.

Even though it is formulated for normal to combination skin and my skin is sensitive leaning towards dry, I have had good results. My skin looks a bit brighter after use, is not overly stripped of moisture (though I do need to moisturise right after), and it doesn't make me break out. In the winter/central heating period it can be a bit too harsh for me, so I wind down use to once a week or so. The best thing about this product is that it is fragrance and paraben free, so I will continue to purchase until LRP bring out something even better.

This is a perfect cleanser for oily, sensitive skin. It is a great makeup remover--I tested its ability by cleaning my white makeup brushes with it. Makeup just melts off and my brushes are soft and white. As far as skin, this gives a lot of foam with a tiny amount of product after rubbing it between your hands. It dissolves makeup and oil off and rinses clean instantly. No smell, no irritation, no extras. This can be drying if you use too much product or if your skin is not oily. I also find it works better in hard water, which I have at home.

This is my HG cleanser. It does not sting the eye, removes all makeup, foams nicely, has no smell (good for me due to my sensitive skin). After washing, your face will still feel moisturized as this cleanser does not strip away the moisture off your skin. Love this product!

I have reactive, sensitive, oily skin with large pores and acne problem. Basically my skin is horrible and I constantly try to keep it in check and balance.
I feel like i tried everything under the sun there is and at this point I know what works best.
La Roche-Posay is one of few brands I keep using with great results and Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser is my HG cleanser I can't live without.
Keeps my skin clean but never irritated. Takes of all makeup too.
This cleanser is very delicate, foams great and never dries out my skin.
Great product. Highly recommended.

I picked out this cleanser because I wanted a fragrance free face wash that foamed but did not have any sulfates. I got my bottle in July and there is still a good amount left even though I use it 2-3 times a day. This stuff foams so well, you really just need the teeny-tiniest amount!

I was previously using Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel and one bottle of that lasts two months. In the long run even though the LRP is twice as expensive since one bottle lasts at least six months it is definitely worth the price!

Overall I am very satisfied with this product. My skin is very, very sensitive and this cleanser does not break me out or give me any types of rashes. That is pretty much all I can ask for in a cleanser! The only thing that I don't like is that it is quite drying and my skin gets super oily a couple hours after I wash my face. I tried a sample of LRP's Effaclair M mattifying moisturizer though and that seemed to help some with the oiliness.

This gets off all my makeup even without pre-cleansing! But it does leave my skin feeling very clean, almost tight but not dry. I do need to take care to moisturise with this though. It's too cleansing to use it when I don't have makeup on. My skin is normal/combi-dry.

I just lather it up with wet hands and spread it around on dry skin. It feels very creamy and plush on the skin.

It's not bad. I'll probably repurchase if I can't find something less stripping.

This doesn't break me out at all.

This is the only product from the Toleriane line that I like. It lathers very nicely, and cleans without being too drying or irritating. One of my favorite cleansers, works well on acne prone skin. Love that it's unscented too.
