For reference: nc25-30, warm and yellow
This is a gorgeous warm bronzy brown color with a tiny hint of gold. Texture is buttery and smooth. Makes my brown eyes pop. This is the type of eyeshadow where you can just swipe it over your lids, blend the crease and it would look like you tried so hard.
I love pairing this shadow with warm orange-y shadows like "texture" and "saddle". Definitely would repurchase!

This colour is really pretty, it's kind of like a golden bronze. I found it easy and smooth to apply and no fall-out. But when I was out I looked in the mirror and I was a bit disappointed to see that it didn't really show up, you couldn't really see it too well. I have such muddy-looking dark skin always, NC30 in the winter but I have a tan most of the time because I live in a hot and sunny place, so much darker skin most of the time even now when it's not summer. And it doesn't really show up when you have such dark skin, it's about the same shade as my skin when I'm tanned. So for those of you who complain about being paper white, you don't know how lucky you are: you can wear most eyeshadow colours and they will show up on your skin and really pop. I can only wear the darkest shades if I want them to actually be visible.

This is the first MAC eyeshadow that I've truely love and have bothered to write a review for. I love love LOVE this shadow.
I bought this shadow as it is a very good Urban Decay Smog alternative. I would say UD Smog is more buttery to apply and goes on the lid deeper compared to Tempting. However, that being said, it is very easy to build up the shade using one colour for a smokey eyelook.
The brown in this shadow kind of moves with you if that makes sense. I swatched it on my hand at a counter before I bought it, and everytime I moved my hand I felt like the shade looked different at different angles.
I wear this on my outer 2/3 of my lid, and my bottom lash line with MACs All that glitters as a wash prior. Love it!

This is my HG eyeshadow. I just love it. It's a bronzey brown. Usually, I wear Tempting alone all over my lid with just a bit of mascara and a swipe from a MAC paint pot underneath it to make it stay. I have pale, rosy skin and blue eyes for reference.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Fair Hair: Brunette, Straight, Fine Eyes: Brown
Love this shade, great on the lid/crease, I love this for a brown smokey eye as its not to dark and harsh. This is not a gold shade, when swatching it you will see that it is a muted metallic brown type shade. Can never have enough neautrals :)

This is the first lustre eyeshadow I actually liked enough to keep from MAC. I wear this in my crease or on my lid, and it looks gorgeous either way. It does not contain too much shimmer, and its not chunky. It provides a nice wash of color that gives me a beautiful pop to my lid. I like the fact that it doesn't look muddy in the crease. A very nice color to have.

Very average shimmery brown color on the warmer side (though I did not find it to have red in it). The texture of the shadow was not soft and did not apply nicely. It was gritty and scratchy. When I buy an eyeshadow, it's going to last me for years, so I don't mind spending twice as much on a shimmering brown from Burberry or Edward Bess, etc, that is going to last. Totally mundane imo. I like MAC, but this was a pass.

Personally I don't particularly like this shadow very much, it is a very average colour for me that I have used once or twice since I got it several months ago. It looks really brown and shimmery in the pan but once it goes on my skin it comes off a bronze colour which really annoyed me. Also the fallout it annoying and I was hoping to see some of its gold undertones but I didn't get anything like that. I have applied using several different techniques but it still remains slightly bronze on my skin no matter what I do, so for now I have given up with it. It also needs building quite a lot to see any of the pigmentation and doesn't last the whole day even when I used my HG shadow insurance. Would not buy again nor would I recommend.

Blendable, layerable if you want a richer smokier look. Great bronzey, gold, taupe color that goes well on my medium/fair rosey skin tone and with my green eyes. I have had this shadow for a few years now and kind of forgot about it until today. I just put it on in the outer v and under my eyes, with Shroom in the inner corner and brow. Brown liner on top lid and in waterline. Very quick look and not overpowering, yet it gave my eyes a very sultry look. Love it. It applies with such depth and silkiness and really is one of those eye shadows I call "transformative". Just does something to your eyes that other colors do not. Would highly recommend to anyone.
P.S. I didn't have any fallout problems with it. I think you have to apply this one in layers, because if you really load your brush up with it to apply, you could have some fall out issues.

I am a blue eyed NW10 (NW20 when tanning from a bottle).
This has so much fallout! : ( Also, I am disappointed in the shade. I was hoping it would be more metallically and shimmery, instead, it's more of a brown than any type of gold.
DUPE ALERT! I swatched it aside my Milani Powder Eyeshadow in Caramel Brown, EXACT DUPE for MAC Tempting. Even though Tempting looks more shimmery in the pan, it applied the same shade as Milani's Caramel Brown looks in the pan. : (
