Let me start by saying I love the smell of this conditioner, it is advertised as strawberry milkshakes and it's not a cheapy smell it is more of a mature form of a strawberry milkshake sent in my opinion my mom did not like it in her hair however because she said it was to fruity so definitely smell it before you buy. When I first used this conditioner in the shower I did not like it. BUT! I remembered hair dressers saying hair absorbs more while dry so I tried using it in my hair dry (just my ears down) and combing it through and leaving it in for a little while and then when I rinsed my hair it made a world of difference! I do not like how much of this product I have to use because it is so thin but I really do love how it smells so I am just going to use it until it is gone and then try something cheaper. Good luck!

I bought a small bottle of this conditioner as recommended by my friend who swore by this product.
First Impression: Cute bottle, has all the words written on it to keep me distracted while waiting for the conditioner to sink in. Awesome smell, smells like vanilla and strawberries that seriously can last in the hair for the entire day.
Application: I felt like I needed a large pump for it to condition the lower part of my hair. Left it on for a minute and two and it is easy to wash off.
I'm still undecided whether to get this product again, as it is quite expensive for a small bottle. I have used conditioners that seem to soften my hair better. This product works on and off for me, sometimes it feels awfully dry but sometimes my hair does feel smooth. oh, and have fun flipping your hair because it smells awesome!

I love, love the smell of this- it's like vanilla mixed with lanolin, and it lasts and lasts, but that's where the love ends. I used this alongside Godiva shampoo bar, which is meant to be conditioning on its own, and the two products together completely dried out my hair. My hair is curly so it is usually a bit dry but after using these products it was straw... I'm glad I only bought a small bottle. On the other hand if I could find a perfume that smells like this I'd be happy.
The two lippies are for the fragrance, if that was removed it would only get one.

I have been using this paired with LUSH Fair Trade Honey Shampoo for the last two weeks, and I am honestly in love.
I decided to try this after an awful experience with the BIG solid conditioner. Since I was not ready to purchase this because it is a bit on the pricey side (8.4 ounces for 19.95 USD) the sales associate gave me a few generous sized samples to try it out and really see how it worked for me. Now I wish that I would have just purchased it because I really do love it, and now I have to make the hour and a half drive to my nearest LUSH store to get me my own bottle of this.
The smell is amazing and stays on your hair a long time after you're out of the shower and your hair is dry. I love the smell. I don't know how to describe it, to me, it smelt more of vanilla and honey and not the strawberry milkshake the sales associate used to describe it. Whatever it is, I love it! It isn't the thickest conditioner, truthfully it is a rather runny product but that isn't a problem at all. I have long hair (more than halfway down my back) that is thick and a bit wavy and this has not caused my hair to be tangled or difficult to comb. It also has not made my hair greasy and I have been using it every other day. But I only apply it from about my ears down. Instead, when I get out of the shower, my normally unruly hair is easy to brush without having to use a a smoothing cream or detangler. My hair is also soft and smooth and even has a bit of body and volume.
I love this conditioner. I cannot say enough good things about it. It has replaced my Redken All Soft Conditioner hands down.

I don't feel wonderful giving this a 1 star review, but out of the qualities I require in a conditioner, it didn't stack up to any of the conditioners I've tried. I honestly believe that if I ranked all the conditioners I've tried, this would be at the bottom of the list. I have dry skin all over but I produce lots of oil if I use stripping products. Using products heavy in oils alone just kills my skin with oiliness, too.
The smell was alright and strong, which is nice, and the packaging is perfect for the product. The slip was okay but not as smooth as I'd like; I found that there was some halting while rubbing it into my scalp and the feel on my dry ends was like soft water on my hair. Nothing special. I thought it was pretty runny and the texture was lacking. A thicker conditioner just works better and I don't feel like I'm losing it since the drippage is a lot less. Mentioning losing it, the cost is too high for the results, which were... ew.
So how did my scalp and hair respond to this? No allergic reaction, yay! After Trichomania solid shampoo, this gives no smoothness to my squeaky hair, just more silcone-slip-like squeak. Even using less stripping shampoos gave similar results. But the scalp? NOTHING good. My dry skin wasn't moisturized, just extra-oily. When you look at my hair after three days without washing, it's noticeably shiny at the roots with natural oils, but not stringy or flat. This conditioner made my hair look stringy, oily, and flat the next day. Exactly what it's not supposed to do, according to the SA and the packaging.
I had high hopes for the light and moisturizing conditioner I'd heard it was supposed to be. "American Cream, I am disappoint."

I love this conditioner!
This has been my first purchase from LUSH and I'm really impressed. I have 'normal' hair in that it's not excessively thin nor thick. Additionally, it is quite long, well below halfway down my back. While my roots get oily quite quickly, the ends can become quite dry and limp. Because of this, I need a fairly strong conditioner and one that will last due to the amounts I need to use on my long-ish hair. American Cream does this. Firstly, it smells absolutely divine. The only way I can describe it is like a vanilla and honey milkshake. Yum! The ends of my hair are always well-nourished and de-tangle very easily when I use American Cream. It is quite a thin consistency in comparison to some conditioners I have used, but this doesn't alter it's performance in the slightest.
This conditioner makes my hair shiny and healthy and smell absolutely DELICIOUS! The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 star-rating is the price. It is $23.50 AUD for 250g, which is really quite expensive for the amount you are getting. Compare it to, for example, a L'Oreal Paris conditioner, which retail for about $15.00 for 250ml. American Cream is almost $10 more. However, I can recommend it if you want to treat yourself of splurge a little. I will repurchase it, however I will not be using it as an 'every day' conditioner due to it's price.

at first i only purchased this product because it's made of all natural ingredients. i was sick of using chemical hair conditioners on my hair that will only leave it worse and damage the scalp.
i naturally have fine and smooth hair, but because i've made a huge mistake and bleached my hair 4 times this year, its been really dry and extremely damaged.
normally if i dont put conditioner on my hair, it will get all tangled, difficult to brush and poof out like cotton candy.
after using this product, my hair is shiny, silky smooth and healthy
i love how i can comb through it easily and dry it within 10 mins and it will look sleek and straight .. if i don't dry my hair and throw it in a bun until it dries, it gives me bouncy silky curls.
i honestly am grateful for this product and cant see myself living without it.
it's not heavy, it doesn't leave my hair greasy.
i didn't like the way it smelled at first .. still kinda not a fan of the smell but i can tolerate it (it diffidently doesn't smell like vanilla or strawberry or milkshake.)

I have really fine hair that tends to get really tangled and greasy at my scalp. I also used to color my hair quite often so it's very damaged and dry at the ends. Before I found this conditioner, I had gone through nearly every kind of conditioner out there trying to find one that would make my hair manageable and nice looking and maybe it would work but by the second day, it would look and feel like straw. With this conditioner, my hair is shiny, healthy looking, light, and soft and it stays that way. I'm able to just blow dry and go without having to add any kind of smoothing product. The smell kind of threw me off at first, I was expecting it to smell sweet but it is very strong and herbal, not reminiscent of a milkshake like the bottle says. However, it grew on me and now I love it! Good thing too cause the smell lasts all day. My only complaint is that I have to use quite a bit because its a very thin conditioner and I have long hair. With a 16oz bottle being $32, that's pretty expensive but I find its worth it.

Great vanilla milkshake smell! Not a heavy conditioner, and I love it has no silicones so your hair can be smooth and silky from the natural ingredients, such as strawberries and lanolin! My go to for everyday

This conditioner smells AMAZING like vanilla, strawberries and honey. It's a very sexy smell. The scent lingers in your hair through out the whole day which is great.I try to use it on special occasions because it really smells lovely and it adds that wow factor to your hair and it makes It more special. It makes my hair reasonably soft but i do have a few problems with this conditioner.
1) the conditioner is TOO thin. I have long hair and I need to apply quite a lot of conditioner to get a good result and with this, I feel like I have to apply alot to get reasonably good results.
2) it's quite expensive. For quite a small bottle it costs alot. Although I love the smell, I have to be rational about this and not only buy a conditioner because of the scent, I need to buy also based on how good it is on my hair.
Overall this product is good but it could be alot better if it wasn't so pricey for the amount you get & if it wasn't so thin.
